best.fries.ever. this is the place to go in midtown to relax watch the game listen to some tunes and get somegoodgrub.

when i'm in town, i always try to eat the fries. when they are on, they are on. the food is inconsistent. actually ate fries from 2 different batch - one seemed undercook and one over!goodbeer selection.

verygoodfood and atmosphere. sweet tea is amazing. vegetarian chili is tasty, it's my favorite. but it is a little spicy. mozzarella sticks are a must try!

last night was my last night in memphis. have had many people tell me to try the deli, because it was great. we tried getting take out, but when we called a lady answered the phone "domino's pizza". i responded asking "is this the deli?" she responded yes, i said i wanted to place a to go order. she then responded... if you want a take out order your going to have to come get it then hung up on me. so then i husband attempted to call back...once again answered the phone domino's pizza. and then she repeatedly kept asking him why he was calling...even after he asked, as i did, is this the deli. then he was hung up on as well. not only was it rude but it was completely bad business. we were disappointed and not only that angry. no one should run a business like this or more so have someone like that working for them. after we got treated the way we did we will not be going back and will let everyone know that we can. it's to bad because we have nothing butgoodstuff about the food. just wish there employees were as great as it. bad business.

great food. everyone who's been to young avenue knows that this isn't a place you go to for five star service. it'sgoodfood and a really awesome atmosphere in a really great part of town. i went on a monday night and actually got really decent service and was pleasantly surprised. i love the sonoma sandwich and the plethora of veg options makes this vegetarian very happy! i always get the fries no matter what i get for my sandwich, they're delicious. i love their cups and our sweet waitress monday actually brought us to-go sweet teas instead of refilling the ones we already had, so i ended up with two cups from one trip. as a college student, i makegooduse out of plastic restaurant cups. overall, if you go to young avenue deli not expecting stellar service but expecting really great food, then you'll enjoy it!

food isgoodbut prices keep going up. $12 for burger and fries. seriously?

try the cheese sticks! they should be called cheese logs! they are huge and so good! nice place to sit on patio and have agoodbeer.

had the vegetarian chili for the first time. it was outstanding. one of the best bowls of chili i've ever had.

first trying a burger and.... first time trying a burger and fries here and they were really great! the fries are asgoodas everyone claims and the burger was big, juicy and the taste was pretty incredible. it's yet another reason to come back to this place!

good food. all the food you see being presented to other tables looks great. fries were good. a little pricey for a sandwich at lunch. butgoodfood and atmosphere

young avenue deli, located right in the heart of cooper young, is a midtown memphis staple. they even know this themselves, as their unofficial slogan is "we are midtown". that is a grand statement. yet, it is true. the deli is one of the first places i wanted to go when i turned 21. it was always cool and mysterious, and i wanted to be a part of it. three years later, it has become a normal hangout spot for me. many a conversations have ended with, "i don't know what to do. you just want to go the the deli" what makes young avenue deli worth more than one trip? it's the consistentlygoodmenu and extensive beer list. they even have a listed of shooters, in case you cannot figure out exactly how you want to inject alcohol into you. but don't go for the wine. they really don't care about wine. this particular time i was there, scott and i both had the night off and wanted to enjoy the beautiful patio weather. memphians know thatgoodpatio weather does not last long, so you must take ad

service is lacking. the sandwiches are decent, but i'm always a little disappointed. the cheeseburger is actually pretty good, and probably the best sandwich on the menu. the fries are way overrated. i have to say the cheesesticks are homemade and excellent. i can't remember a time when i have been to young ave and hadgoodservice. the wait staff always seems like it has something better it could be doing. i guess the main reason i keep going back is because it is so close to home.

i go there all the time for a reason--it's great!. in case you need a bit more elaboration on my headline, here's why i like it:

great variety of beers,goodbeers. unusual menu items--all good. great, attentive staff. fair prices.

there is one problem that i always have there. sweet potato fries or regular fries--always a hard decision. you order one, have a friend order the other, and share!

eat there, it's fantastic!

one of the best. don't know that i've ever had a wrap asgoodas the bren, my wife has knocked down a couple of dozen sonomas over the years. incredible beer selection. open late, i often head there after the last northwest flight of the night brings me home.
