if you looking for a nice quietbreakfastthan a crowded loud restaurant? yoco eatery is for you.

hidden away gem in the durbanville rust en vrede. went there from a friend referral and was quite surprised how nice this place is. the owner is russian and he was very welcoming. even suggest option on the menu.

my friend and i enjoyed a nice cup of cappuccino and a red cappuccino. while we wait for our meal the owner comes around and told us that it's traditional in russia to have a shot of vodka to make us even hungrier for food. i added a picture of the vodka and the shot glasses a proof 😜

i really enjoyed mybreakfasti had the poach egg with salmon, citrus sauce on a ciabatta. the fish was so fresh and so tasty and i love the sauce, think it makes a perfect combination between the fish and the eggs. my friend had the shasuka and he said it's the best he ever had.

definitely not my first and last time will be back.

a hidden treasure in the heart of durbanville, yoco hits the spot on every level. the food is outstanding. everything is deliciously tasty and fresh. the service is always good and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food that is served. and the coffee is the best i've ever had! well worth a visit forbreakfastor lunch. a tip - if you are coming for breakfast, have the poached eggs and salmon with the citrus sauce. quite honestly the most deliciousbreakfastyou will ever have.

*** update ***

i recently returned and it was a completely different experience. a matter of when the cat is away, mice will play.

three things happened. the waiter was unable to tell me what a hot drink on the menu was. had to go find out. thereafter couldn’t tell me what the omelette of the day was, had to go find out. it is such a tiny menu, surely even new staff have it explained to them in perhaps ten minutes.

then we ordered a menu item. french toast with bacon jam and cheddar. what we were served was french toast with, bacon, jam (strawberry) and cheese. never even seen that, ever.

i am sad to see this one failing and wouldn’t be returning. such a pity.

*** previous review ***

i write this review with great reluctance. on rare occasions you come across places you are tempted to keep to yourself. this definitely falls within that category. this was the most pleasantbreakfasti have had in a very long time.

most importantly, the coffee is really good. really, really good. nothing pretentious, just great.

the meals were very well prepared and presented beautifully. care is taken in preparation and quality ingredients are used. it shows.

the owner and his team were incredibly friendly and accommodating. the pricing is ridiculously low for the quality. any place in town or the wine lands would be charging at least 50% more for anything close to this.

this is one of very few very well run, small cafes in the northern suburbs. it is right up there with any of the trendy cape town cbd cafes.

despite being in the heart of the durbanville cbd, it has a countryside feel with its lovely garden. a lovely breakaway spot in the midst of the rat race. it is a little tricky to find, but definitely worth the effort. perhaps give them a call for directions to their private parking. there are also a few nice shops and some artwork to explore in the adjacent shops.

needed a bit of time with my teenager daughter to have a chat and took the opportunity to have lunch at yoco. as soon as we were greeted by stas, i knew we were in for a treat. in my experience whenever a restaurant is owner managed everything is that little bit better because he cares about his business and therefore his customers. yoco was no exception and i watched stas make every effort to chat to all his patrons. he made recommendations and showed a genuine interest in what we had to say. the coffee was good and the food excellent. my daughter is very, very fussy and usually a nightmare at restaurants but stas and his daughter modified the burger ingredients to satisfy her. it is a treat for all of us living in durbanville to have such a restauranteer as stas in our town. top quality ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere make this a perfect venue for anybreakfastor lunch occasion. i just wish he was open on sunday's and in the evenings.

this is a hidden gem for sure. literally hidden. it's in the main road but very easy to miss as it is in the rust en vrede gallery ;)

very cosy on a rainy day with a cute fireplace keeping us warm. we stopped in for abreakfastand my boyfriend went for the shakshouka and i settled for the acorn and squirrel breakfast.

the comments around the food 1. portions are huge 2. value for money 3. fresh 4. great quality ingredients. the service of the owner himself was amazing and truly welcoming.
we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and look forward to going back again.

i've been wanting to try yoco eatery ever since missing the zomato meetup there. i finally got to have brunch there and was not disappointed. the setting is quaint and romantic, the service is good and - most importantly - the coffee is strong. still, nothing above average until the food arrived. the croque madame was excellent! the portions are not very big, but fairly priced. overall a solid spot, the bestbreakfastspot that i've been to in the northern suburbs thus far.

i've seen yoco eatery pop up on suggested places to eat in durbanville for a while now, and today i finally had the chance to try them out! i had high expectations as they are the highest rated restaurant in durbanville and i was not dissapointed! the service was super friendly and the atmosphere was so nice and relaxed under the trees. everytime a waiter came to clear a table around us they would get complimented on how good the food was. i had the salami flatbread and it was really nice. my mom had the coriander chicken wrap and oh my goodnes that was amazing! the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce that came with it was super yummy. there was a crunch element in the wrap that was perfectly spiced and so good! yoco certainly deserves their excelent rating! i will be going back to try thebreakfastbecause the options looked amazing!
