yeti and the monk is a small place located in patil complex, near hdfc bank atm, ambedkar chowk in khadki. they specialises in tibetan and south east asian cuisine. they have a small & limited menu, but whatever they serve is top notch.

coming to food, we had:

chicken wai wai:

this flavorful noodle soup consists of wai wai noodles prepared with vegetables and chicken in medium spicy broth, topped with hard boiled egg and garnished with spring onion.
the broth had perfect balance of flavour and spice. this dish tastes as good as it looks.
#highlyrecommended

spicy tofu thukpa:
this delicious noodle soup consists of noodles prepared with vegetables in spicy broth and topped with tofu and garnished with spring onions. it's a good option for vegetarians.

spicy chicken thukpa:
it is similar to that of tofu thukpa, but instead of tofu it had, chicken and hard boiled egg.
#highlyrecommended

overall it's a good place to try delicious tibetan food.

looking for authentic tibetan food?
yeti and the monk must be your go to place for it.
if you are a first time visitor the staff is ready to help you choose amongst their varied dishes. i personally loved their chicken shabala with the side sauce they serve( the name which is a top secret 😜).
they have the best vietnamese coffee and also not to forget their hot dumplings which are unique in their own way.
a happening place to visit✨

i’ve been to this place after lockdown, as the staff was on short so there was a limited food menu. but whatever they served us was of great quality. the food was made in front of us, it was so fresh and delicious.
i would personally suggest to try their spicky thukpa 😄
thank you.

after i voluptuously devoured all of what was on my plate, i didn’t drink water for 2 hours. simply because, i didn’t want the taste to leave my palette- that’s exactly how good the food was!

at the heart of the preparation is the fine quality of ingredients chosen. you need to be a chef of a fine order to do so, and they score just about perfect there. and it’s pretty obvious the folks running the show are quite sure of what they are doing.

all in all, great taste, great quality and a delightful experience! #cheers

had this amazing bowl of food at yeti and the monk in khadki, pune. a small eatery place with less than 10 tables serving awesome food. it’s always crowded and sometimes you have to wait for about an hour. they also serve pork chops on few days, ask for it as it is not in the menu. overall a good experience.

how did i never hear of this place? thanks to a foodie friend who endlessly keeps looking for places to explore on zomato, we stumbled upon this place. it's a cosy little restaurant that serves the best tibetan-vietnamese food. this place and the food is made with so much love. the taste is really authentic.
we had chicken dumplings, shrimp and noodle salad, chicken thukpa, dark chocolate tart with ice cream. everything was amazing. also lemon grass ice tea to go with which was so soothing. next time will definitely try their pork dishes.
though we were full, we kept ordering more and more. i was definitely high on their food.
it was a long day at work for us, we were tired, rode for 15 km on our bikes to come here and everything was worth it. will sure visit again 😊

this place was recommended by a close friend in pune. and he was all praises about the food here. that grew the curiosity in me. and i am happy i took his advice.
the place looks small at first. the soothing tibetan hymns playing in the background transports you to a different place altogether. the menu is precise with food from tibet, bhutan and a few dishes from vietnam.
we ordered tofu summer rolls, veg dumplings, spicy chicken thukpa and chicken pho. (we had a vegetarian friend with us, so ordered a few veg options).
summer rolls are something that you won't see on a lot of menus. so we were very exited to try those. very refreshing and healthy. goes really well with the dip they serve along with it. i didn't try the veg dumplings, but our vegetarian friend was all praises about it.
spicy thukpa was spot on, right from the presentation to the taste.
(they serve hard boiled eggs with the thukpa, which i am not a fan of).
pho was something that i expected it to be. very subtle and full of flavour at the same time. you can ask for hot sauce with it, if you need that extra kick. (one of us opted for it).
we also ordered the gurash cooler and a pot of mango white tea.
both complement the food very well.

final words: a must visit place for food mongers who want to try something new. definitely worth a visit.

p.s: the food might take some time and you have to be very patient. but it is definitely worth the wait.
also, you have to take off your footwear outside the restaurant.

one shall visit this restaurant for veitnamese food. food is good. steamed chi dumplings were good. but they should be steaming while on ur table. veg noodles salad was average. guroush cooler is like cough syrup. they dont give bowls on the table to serve meal bowl like vietnamese pho . everything you order will take 30 to 40 mins to reach your table. most of the menu is not available or would take more time than usual. there is some kind of negative approach towards guests. whatever you ask they will first say.. no.. we dont have.or we are near to closing time. this will take time that ingredients are unavailable. for paying with card you have to travel to the cash counter and wait there. average experience.

hole in the wall, hidden gem, instant classic - i could call this place a lot of things, but none would do it justice. the menu is a carefully curated offering of tibetan and north east indian comfort food and you will be happy with whatever you order. in fact, you could shut your eyes and order whatever your finger lands on and you'd like it. we ordered pork momos, chicken summer roll, a spicy chicken thukpa and ema datshi. every course was a revelation - warm and comforting, bursting with flavour and texture, but never a sensory overload. initially afraid that we'd over ordered for a party of three, we happily finished whatever we ordered and ended up calling for some vietnamese coffee and a chocolate tart on top. what a finish to a lovely meal! we were already more than happy with our four dishes, but the phenomenal dessert and coffee was what propelled me to write this review. incredible! if you try one new restaurant in 2020, let it be this one. kudos to the team!
