yellow dog eats

awesome food and cool atmosphere. i live in indy but visit my brother in orlando a few times a year, and we never miss yellow dog eats. it's the greatest. i daydream about it on a fairly regular basis :) gotta try whatever the daily special is - you will not be disappointed. the blue suede shoes is my favorite so far though.

out of towners. my wife and i recently went to orlando to see the mouse! while we like to do some tourist type stuff we love to eat great food and lets face it i-drive very chainy. our adventure had us drive through some very residential areas where we thought we might have even put the address wrong in the gps but we kept driving and arrived. we were welcomed by a friendly upbeat staff and great locals there for lunch. i ordered the drunken pig which is a pulled pork sand-which smothered with beer-cheese soup. aaammmazing. the slaw that comes with the sandwich is great too. i also tried the homemade potato salad which was fantastic and fresh too and complemented the sandwich well. great experience, great adventure, out of this world food.

absolutely delicious!! i had to take it to go since there were no tables left and the line was out the door! i will most definitely be back!

sandwich heaven. go. amazing sandwich selection, great sides, plus a great wine shop! i'll be back next weekend...if i can wait that long.

comfy place, delicious eats!. when i visit yellow dog i feel at home. the atmosphere is so comfortable in this historical two-story house, and i could hug the staff - they're always so kind and serve up amazing food! my personal favorite on the menu is the thin elvis plus the bread. "thin" means the sandwich is served between two pieces of crisp lettuce, so if you're a carb hound like me, mention you want your elvis back in his bread. thin elvis is almost like the club elvis, but sweeter on the palate and without the fried onions, slaw, or chips. instead, thin elvis comes with a refreshing side salad with a light vinaigrette.

barkalicious. sorry for the cheesy pun in the title, but a restaurant with the word dog in...i couldn't help myself. this place is must try for all in orlando area. i am fortunate enough to live really close and follow the place on facebook just to get my daily food porn, even when i can't make it. their daily specials are imaginative, inventive, oh, and did i mention delicious? i'm a big soup lover and they make the best soups around - which change daily too! they had fallen into a tomato basil bisque rut for a while, but am glad they dug themselves out of that one. their mushroom, beer cheese, butternut sqaush, and lobster bisque, are a few of my favorites. their menu has tried and true regulars but the specials are where it's at! in a city known for its plastic reproductions of reality, it is always surprising and delightful to run into original pockets of epicurean treats!

awesome bbq!. we are staying in orlando for a soccer tournament and we could not decide where to go eat for something different as a family. we looked on here and found this restaurant as a highly rated place. it was worth the 30 minute drive, that's for sure!
the atmosphere is so fun and casual. the food was absolutely awesome. all the barbecue items looked amazing and our favorite was the mr.smokey, which was a pulled pork sandwich with a smoked pineapple, crunchy fried onions, and bacon with their signature barbecue sauce. the combination of the sweet pineapple with the smokiness of the bacon and the heat of the sauce was "life changing".
would definitely recommend to anyone!

cool place, good food. you have to like a place that let's you write on the walls, table, pretty much wherever you want, and you can staple a photo of you and your pooch up on the wall as well.

the atmosphere and decorations strive for a time 30 years ago when orlando and windermere were more down to earth without all the showy flashy clowns that now reside in the area. there are old street signs and business signs that bring back memories.

the food is excellent, creative and well thought out. not your typical sandwich shop, prepare to be surprised. the bbq is a must try even though sandwiches and wraps are their forte.

the charasmatic owner is entertainment as he works the restaurant and makes sure to talk to everyone. his knowledge of food and wine is an enjoyable conversation.

best bbq pork ever!. after having their famous bbq pork sandwiches i have never had pulled pork anywhere else! what for?? yellow dog has the best! their house made sauce is one of a kind! their service is always superb! the owner is a great guy! he always remembers a face and greets all customers!

yde is a quant house in gotha, (right near windermere) fl filled with fun people, fun wines, and great food. chef fish morgan and his small band of friends, are very present from the moment you walk in the door to the second you leave. passing out food, inquiring about your meal, chatting with regulars and newbees. it feels like you came to your friends house for lunch.
yde was recommended to me by a friend cause i am a lover of the pulled pork sandwich. with names like, club elvis, florida cracker, blue suede shoes, for pork sandwich names, it was hard to chose.
going with the white trash (pulled pork with gouda, bacon and there amazing spicy cole slaw) i was more than pleasantly satisfied.
they have more than just pulled pork, way more! salads, sandwiches and ribs. a wine selection to die for. daily specials and the coolest atmosphere a restaurant could have.
its worth the trip for lunch or dinner. i'm sure you'll add it to your list of favorite places to eat. it just moved to the top of mine

lovin' on my big plate of awesome! pulled pork nachos can't be beat. the bbq is off the hook, and fish makes the whole visit rock a little bit extra. highly recommend, but come hungry. portions are generous!
