can't rate the food because we were forced to leave by the whackass service.  came in, moderately busy but not a line.  sign says "wait to be seated", a waitress yells "sit wherever you want".  sat at the counter near the register.  3 waitresses walked past us, served coffee to tables, rang up checks and ignored us for over 15 minutes.  finally someone told someone else to serve us coffee, which was just shy of 2/3 cup.  then they ignored us some more.  we asked for the check and 'to go' coffees and the girl put 2 stacked styrofoam cups in front of us of the bar.  incredulous, my wife explained how to serve customers then they said not to pay and we left coffee on the bar.  tally is in desperate need of abreakfastplace!  my kingdom for breakfast!  it ain't here.

the quintessential hole-in-the-wall. woodchuck's cafe is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall. nothing fancy will be found here. what will be found is great food. once a week we travel to woodchuck's to get a great breakfast. once in a while we show up for lunch as well. whether you come forbreakfastor lunch, you won't be disappointed. my favoritebreakfastis the biscuits and gravy - two big fluffy biscuits with a generous portion of gravy along with two eggs and a side of meat. yummy stuff. i'm still working my way through all the burgers and haven't found a bad one yet, but the best is the stuffed woodchuck with blue cheese. you'll need a couple napkins, but don't worry, they've got you covered with big thick napkins, not the little tissue-thin single-ply rectangles you get at most other places.if you like potato salad, you'll love woodchuck's potato salad and they aren't skimpy with the portion. the fries are good also, but i generally order the potato salad.

service is always top notch and is another reason why we love woodchuck's. great food and great service. what more could you ask for?

yum! why didn't i know about this place earlier?! it's easy to pass unless you happen to need gas at that exact moment (because it's connected to a gas station), buuuut the food and service is amazing. i had the cheddar stuffed woodchuck burger with fried okra instead of fries since fried okra is the best thing in the world. my mom had thebreakfastspecial, chicken on a biscuit with honey butter and home fries. everything was homemade and fresh and delicious. i totally recommend this place and i will be back!

this is the best restaurant in tallahassee hands down. i have been going here for a month and go at least once a week for eitherbreakfastlunch or dinner and every meal i've had has been a 10/10 in my book including the deserts. they have homemade cupcakes and cheesecake with at least 10 varietys made by the restaurant owners mom. as for the specials, i've had the country fried steak, honey butter chicken biscuit, and philly cheeseburger on a pretzel bun. all great. highly reccommended. they should put a philly chessesteak on the menu!!! or even keep the philly burger on the menu

breakfast. i can't speak to the burgers, as that's what most are raving about here.

the omelet i received was just okay. it's nothing fantastic that i would come back for again. have i had better omelets in my life for about the same price? yes. the only noteworthy standout about my meal was the home fries which are sliced very thin and crisp with a smoky garlic flavor. other than the home fries, everything else was just okay.

i would describe the food here, based offbreakfastalone, as the "jenny's lunchbox" of west tallahassee. so if you like jenny's lunchbox, you'll probably like this place too. it wasn't for me though.

breakfast. this has become my new favoritebreakfastplace. the first time we went, my boyfriend had the sunday special, which is the honey butter chicken biscuit (the chicken is huge), and home fries (this are a little different, but still good). i had the french toast, 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of sausage. everything was amazing!! we had all that, 2 drinks, and a tip was $17.

woodchucks for breakfast!. hadbreakfastat woodchucks on a monday. special for the day was 2pancakes, 2eggs, 2sausage patties, and 2bacon strips for $4.99. yep, thats right. thebreakfastwas excellent, the pancakes were homemade and huge. the waitresses were nice and very helpful. cant wait to come back and try some of the "so-called" best burgers in tallahassee!

at last!. huge burgers! killer breakfast! no way you can leave here hungry. tallahassee has finally got a killerbreakfastjoint, that keeps it simple, inexpensive, and piles it high.
