winewood grill

very disappointing experience. advertised live jazz music for easter brunch; but there was none. table needed to be cleaned when we sat down. food was delivered lukewarm on two of our four plates. except for thechickenfried ribeye steak, food was very mediocre. absolutely not a $100 meal, but that's what we paid.
we have had a very good meal at winewood, but today felt like their were going through the motions. poor meal.

the best!!!. a great place for a glass of wine and any one of their gourmet dishes. thechickenstrawberry salad is fantastic, as are their seafood and steak dishes. i could go to this restaurant everyday. great food, great service and very affordable. and, it's located within feet of several other fantastic restaurants... bob's chop house, fireside pies, and the hand made mexican restaurant with the great patio! a must try.

more like wine wouldn't. server was inexperienced but polite and did an acceptable job.
the blt salad was very weak and appeared to have been made with bacon bits and bagged salad. the strip steak is listed as being peppercorn and bleu cheese crusted and was presented to me with a ball of compound cheese/butter on top. the cut of meat was awful for the one bite i took before i sent it back. my wife had the tuna and it was even more abysmal. gray in color and it looked like a veggie burger patty. another friend had a spinach and mixed green salad withchickenand there was nochickenor spinach. this was the first time i've seen someone send back a salad.

overall i would have been upset with the offerings of this restaurant at a quarter of the prices they were asking.

the food was excellent. we got the tenderloin bruschetta for an appetizer followed by thechickencordon blue and bourbon glazed pork chop. we finished the dinner with banana fosters and a black/tan dessert. if you do go there i would ask to sit in evans area. he is a great server and will make sure your evening is enjoyable.

never again. arrived at 8:00pm. moderate crowd with lots of empty tables. had to wait 15 minutes for a table. ordered hamburgers and was told they were out of ground meat could we order something else. we ordered waldorfchickensalad and a french dip sandwich. took close to 30 minutes to get our food. the salad was bloody awful and fairly certain it was made with cannedchickenmeat. the french dip and the accompanying au jus was tasteless. the frys were overly seasoned with some sort of spice normally used on chips in mexican resturants. never again - i will stick with hillstone and r&d kitchen in dallas where the same type of food is to die for and they never run out of burger meat!

this was our first time to winewood, first off everything looks nice but the resturant was very cold and empty. the waiter waited at least 15 minutes to take our order and it took over an hour to get our food, we had to ask a manager to find where our food was because our waiter kept wondering off. when our food got to the table it was cold and the sides were wrong and missing. thechickenwas salty and flavorless and the mashed potatoes were like bland babyfood. 30 minutes later our waiter gives us a desset menu then dissapers again, we had to get the owner involved this time to find the waiter and get desserts. after finally ordering dessert it took another 20 minutes to get it! even though our meal was comped we will not be going back. overall very disappointed in the service and food.

presentation. outstanding food, presentation, service! we have been twice now and everything has been superb, from the great drinks to the lovely appetizers and entree's, just wonderful, truly enjoyed the medallions ofchickenand the vegetarian pasta.
