do me in once.... thewineguy was good as was the appetizer but the dinner (ahi tuna) was horrible! i tried two bites only because i wanted to give it a fair chance. when i told the server about the tuna, the service went to zilch and i was "onlly" charged half price for the tuna i couldn't eat. no one came to follow up regarding my complaint. i closed out my tab, left, and enjoyed a delicious dinner at il vicino's.

had mike'swinedive done the right thing i might have given them a second chance. instead, in exchange for the eight bucks they charged me for bad fish, they lost a customer for life. hope that eight dollars gets them through these tough times. with food and customer service like i received they'll be gone in a year.

fav. wish we could go here every night. we're regulars on thursday nights forwineand fun. the service here is near the best in all of wichita. drinks are a tad pricey.

mike'swinedive is always on our list when it comes to great places to frequent even though it's a bit of a drive for us. the food is always outstanding. we've tried several things on the menu and have never been disappointed. the service has always been top notch and the restaurant itself is cozy, comfortable and romantic. but it's thewinelist that will blow you away. it's so extensive and has such wonderful choices that you will be blown away. this is a must if you are in the area. (or even if you aren't. it's worth the drive!)

i have never been to wichita and this place looked right up my alley. not so much. the spinach salad came with this mayo tectured green dressing that overpowered all its awesome ingredients. the salad became doable after finally ordering redwinevinegar straight. i ordered the wild boar pasta. now the boar was tender, pasta cooked to perfection but nothing else stood out. no great marinara. no great fresh veggies. i was just disappointed. i also sat at the bar so i could see the kitchen. 2 "chefs" in the kitchen sat there and giggled at nothing for all of 10 minutes. i couldnt understand them at all. there was however a gentleman in the corner with headphones working his tail off. he was quick, quiet, and efficient. one of the servers did seem annoyed by the two laughing guys in the kitchen. overall it could have been better. would not go back.

one of our favorites. we were there for our 40th anniversary. goodwinelist, steak quality is outstanding, seafood mac & cheese...take it home for breakfast!!!

great wine...hit or miss food. first...i love thewinelist and the general vibe / atmosphere of mikeswinedive.

i've had some great food here--sandwiches, cheese plates, anchiote pork chops.

i've also recently had some poor food here--both in quality and preparation. they have a $22 filet and a $30 ribeye on the menu. the server made an effort to describe that the steaks were from creekstone farms--the "same place chester's chophouse gets their steaks from." asking about which steak came with mushrooms, i chose the ribeye over the filet for that specific reason.

my steak came out, without mushrooms, and cooked medium well. i'd asked for medium. the sides of mashed potatoes were cold, and the sauce on the steak--while i think they were aiming for an au poivre--was more reminicent of teriaki. i asked the server about mushrooms, and she brought out a bowl of mushrooms swimming in the sauce. the steak was very fatty--not marbled like a normal ribeye, but huge chucks of fat both around the edges and within the steak itself. the vegetables were pretty good--squash, zuc, and green beans.

overall, it just wasn't that tasty, and it wasn't worth $30.

and ps--don't hype your steak by dropping the name of the most respected steakhouse in town unless you're going to prepare it half-way decently.

expensive and boring ..... i usually come to enjoywineat this place but friday the 19 after i paid my 30 $ bill i left thinking i'll be back next week for my usual glass of wine... wednesday i checked my bank account and they helped them selves to a 30 $ tip ... i called them for help and they refused to be helpful .... so people pay cash for a better experience

great service and atmosphere. food was unique and had great flavor. loved the cheese and fruit platter. the grilled fish tacos were great. the mac and cheese was fantastic! nice selections ofwineand single malt scotch. will definitely be back.

mom treated jenni, brian and me out to dinner at mike’swinedive last night for brian’s birthday. it was yummy! i had their famous mac and cheese. it’s got lobster, shrimp and crab meat and is absolutely delicious. i really wanted to eat the entire bowl even though it was more than i could manage. it doesn’t look like much, but is actually quite filling. brian had the cuban, but he said it wasn’t as good as the last time. mom had the grilled chicken pasta dish and jenni had a steak sandwich. everything looked delicious. even brian’s cuban, which he wasn’t all that impressed with this time around. what is it about restaurants? they are fantastic when they first open, but then the quality of the food starts to diminish over time. i didn’t even bother to take a picture of the chocolate bag this time because it was smaller than i remembered . actually, my phone ran out of battery. jenni took a picture of it, though. she’s supposed to send it to me, but i haven’t got it yet. the mac and ch

looked really small from outside. wasnt sure i wanted to eat here. but, we gave it a shot. they sat us quickly! our waiter was awesome; he knew which wines paired nicely with the menu (his job, technically) but his advice was still very good. the seafood mac-n-cheese was great! best junk food i've ever had. my hubby had the fajitas, which were fantastic! the server checked on us frequently, the ambiance was lovely and thewineselection was superb! i am so impressed with this place that i'm writing the review (rudely) at the table. please give this place a double look and enjoy the place!

soooo delicious!!. my husband and i ate at mike'swinedive and we were extremely impressed! the presentation of the food looks like something off of top chef. my husband had the pork chops and i had the fajitas and both were so flavorful and amazing! i can definitely see why their prices are a little high. i think it was well worth it.

fun experience!. love this place. just feels like cheers....your neighborhood bar! food andwineare always consistently good!

bestwineservice in town! oeno what?!. was pleasently surprised, as i arrived, to find the food andwineservice among the best in town! the cognac ribeye was cooked perfectly with cognac au jus sauce, that was to die for. my server, i believe his name was mike, was able to pair a great chilean cab with my meal, something i may not have ventured into myself. it was very comforting knowing the staff was fully knowlegable on the menu, with interactive managment making sure my smile was thier passion! will be returning soon to explore thewinelist more.

i love this place. it's delicious and has great salads, pasta and sandwich dishes.winemenu is awesome!

the food isn't particularly noteworthy, however, we continue to frequent the dive for thewineflights and people watching.
