pure south. a recent visit to the area and i was looking for a good southern bbqplace--- willie maes was recommended. it was the best you can ask for. good food, excellent atmosphere and true southern hospitality from the people making it happen. if you want to have a treat that is symbolic of southern cooking and hospitality -- this is the place. it is definitely worth looking for at the top of the hill in springfield tn. will go back next time i am in that area. wow

best barbeque ever!. the second i walk in willie mae's it smells so good! the bbq is the best in our town! actually it is the best i have ever had! i love going there! they are so friendly and kind! always greeted when we come in the door!
it is just a greatplaceto eat! i enjoy every minute i am there and every bite of all the delicious food
they serve!

awesome barbeque!. we just ate at willie mae's barbeque and that is the best barbeque we have eaten!
we loved it and will certainly be going back alot! the smell in the restauant is awesome.....it's that good old wood burning smell like being out in the country.
the bluegrass music that is playing is great! the owners
are the friendliest people! loved talking to them!

greatplacefor q. i wish i was in town for another day so i could try more of the menu. my coworkers and i had the pork plates to go. meat was tender without being soggy and had a good strong smoky flavor. they offer about 5 sauces of which i only tried the vinegar and hot. i recommend the hot which is a slightly spicy vinegar base sauce. the vinegar was a little runny and didn't taste like much more than vinegar and black pepper (but some people may be in to that). the baked beans were excellent. slightly sweet with chunks of pork cooked in with the beans. i didn't try the other sides but had coworkers give a thumbs up to the mac n cheese and a "so so" to the coleslaw. the cashier was very friendly and even offered to help me to the car with my carry out order. i definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area!

willie mae's barbeque. we average going to willie mae's at least 4 times a month...sometimes more. the absolute best brisket, chicken and turkey you can find! the chocolate peanutbutter pie is delish! this is aplacewe enjoy taking our customers to and they all just love it! you can get franchise food all over the place, willie mae's is unique and our returning customers (as well as new ones) say when they come back they want to go there again! service is awesome, these folks know about customer service, and trust me you will not leave there hungry!

good mom & pop place. the inside of this restaurant is really nice for a bbq joint, you can tell they put some money into the setup. they've got your staple que selection with sides and it's good food. they have 4 different sauces to choose for slathering the bbq; vinegar based (i liked it the best), hot, kinda sweet (liked it too), and a mustard based sauce. it's easy to pass thisplaceby and not notice it so stop and chow at a localplace(it's by the post office).
