tongue whoopin!. just about the best bbq and smoked turkey i have ever had. they have a very, very good baked beans and slaw also.

best in springfield. i eat here at least a couple times a month. every meat on the menu is smoked to perfection. even the smoked bologna is awesome. not to mention, the owners are as nice as they could be. the sides are phenomenal and the peanut butter pie is rediculous.

i have been living here in robertson county, tenn for over 12yrs and have over the years have eaten some good bbq. but nothing like willie mae's bbq word cant describe how good the food is, and how they are very generous with there portions/ i would recommend willie mae's to anyone wanting to try some good down home bbq, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming...

it doesn't matter which meat you get, they're all delicious but make sure you get the baked beans and mac and cheese. the chicken platter includes an entire half of a chicken and is enough for two.

i am a bbq snob...what is the mecca for bbq, memphis: charlie vergos’,rendezvous and ,neely’s kc:  arthur-bryant's, and  gates. carolina's: lexington barbecue,  texas, franklin's bbq, well add another of some of the finest bbq  in the country, really,willie mae's is the real thing.

amazing food!. my first time of many to willie mae's .. great ribs and sides. and the chocolate peanut butter pie.. yum.. best ribs ive had in a long while.

i looked at the building and saw the willie mae’s bbq sign. after a quick check on some review sites like urbanspoon and noticing almost all were 5 star i decided to turn around and give it a try. when you walk in the door you will notice that they used a hickory smoker, if you don’t smell it you will see it right behind the front counter. i opted for the brisket sandwich toped with coleslaw and with a side of mac and cheese the brisket was thick and juicy with a good smoked flavor and the mac and cheese was very cheesy i would definitely go back for more. i had a nice talk to one of the owners and she said the stage in the back corner was one of the few things left from the previous owners. 200 8th avenue east springfield tn 37172 map

willie mae's i give praise!. i have to say i love this urban spoon app. i live in knoxville and come to nashville every week for work, i've eaten a lot of bbq and i have to say i'll be back. brisket was out of site. menu is simple and portions were plenty. i will be back ever time i come to springfield. thanks again!

amazing food, great experience.. i'm a regular customer of this restaurant and rarely ever disappointed. i've tried almost everything on the menu and it's phenomenal, but my favorites are the brisket and the mac and cheese. the brisket has an excellent crust and falls apart on the fork, and the mac and cheese is probably the tastiest and most creamy i've had anywhere. highly recommend this place.

gail and joe. how you get great smoked food from a southern boy and a dang yankee is beyond me but they did just about the best you can do or eat ! go joe and gail and proud of y'all fir such yes i said fir all your hard work and dedication i know my brother cooks with his heart !! i love y'all your the best:)

pure south. a recent visit to the area and i was looking for a good southern bbq place --- willie maes was recommended. it was the best you can ask for. good food, excellent atmosphere and true southern hospitality from the people making it happen. if you want to have a treat that is symbolic of southern cooking and hospitality -- this is the place. it is definitely worth looking for at the top of the hill in springfield tn. will go back next time i am in that area. wow

i first went to willie mae's in 2011. my grandfather had passed away and a friend came to visitation and asked if i had eaten there before at which point i had never even heard of it. a pork plate,mac n cheese,green beans, cornbread, and a couple glasses of sweet tea later, i carried the smokey flavor of willie mae's back to all of my family. i won't eat any other barbeque in this county after going here 3 years strong. awesome people to sit and talk to as well. y'all are doing great joe and gail! hope to see y'all soon!

my friend and i went to willie mae's bbq and we were sooooo impressed!!!! the service was great and the good was awesome!!!!!! i got the rib plate and the ribs fell right off the bone!!!! we are roughly 2 hours away but we will be going there again soon!!!!!
