wild ginger restaurant

overpriced and inedible. the food was okay, but we found the children’s menu severely flawed, and the pricing high. short version: the grown-ups mostly enjoyed the food, but the child's quesadilla had waaay too much pepper on it. the child couldn't eat it, and i, an adult who likes pepper said "wow, that's way too much!" if you're going to have a child's menu, then season it appropriately! further, we were offered a "child's lemon-aide" and got charged $2.75 for it. sorry, i don't care if you're in franklin, that's too much. i asked the server about it, and his response was "we get asked that a lot. the owner insists that we charge children the full drink price." and a child's meal is $8? i know that's a pittance to some people, but for a grilled cheese sandwich, that's ridiculous. finally, we were auto-gratuitied 20% when weorderedonly 5 meals, including a child's. the service was good, and i would have tipped well, but 20% is a gratuitous gratuity, especially with the high prices and low quality mentioned above. we might have returned at some point without our children, but the overall experience turned us off of that. did i mention the stupid valet parking that makes no sense for a suburban restaurant? if you like over-paying for your food and having your children's food inedible and way over-charged, go for it, but otherwise, i will not be returning, and i recommend you do the same.

one word: neo-tartare. that's it. you need not know anything else. weorderedit twice during our meal.

our go to restaurant. the food and atmosphere here are awesome. really, i've neverorderedsomething that wasn't done perfectly. it's best to make a reservation, but we've squeezed in at the last minute. definitely fusion and creative with food combinations.

great ambience, upscale, good service. we picked a couple of favorites of the server and were disappointed. the sushi weorderedwasn't the traditional sushi and we didn't know that and weren't told. it was called the bermuda triangle and i wouldn't recommend it. it was served on hard cakes of rice that were deep fried. we alsoorderedbeef medallions and they came fried, which we didn't expect and they were swimming in the sauce. the manager agreed and took it off the bill. so, good service but one must order the right food. the menu looks terrific and make sure the server tells you how it is prepared..

total disappointment!!!. seriously do not go here!!! total bummer of an evening!!! my husband and i used to go to the wild ginger in seattle so when we moved to franklin and heard there was a location nearby we were really excited. oh where to start. the menu has completely changed. this is pretty much a sushi restaurant with a few token chinese dishes. we were not craving sushi and were disappointed in the meager chinese offerings so i opted for seafood. you would think that with 90% of the menu being dedicated to all things fish that the seafood dish would be a no brainer. no way!!! iorderedgrilled shrimp and scallops. my plate had one shrimp and two scallops. that's right people. and a huge lump of gnochi pasta (which they have no business making)!!! none of the flavors complimented each other and my dish was $23. seriously!!!! the scallops and shrimp were way over cooked!!! yuck!!! my husband's meal wasn't much better. heorderedthe filet and was disappointed as well. what a miss. i am writing this because i love the information that urbanspoon offers and am always trying new restaurants based on the reviews on urbanspoon. unfortunately, we hired a babysitter to watch our 2 children so we could enjoy a nice dinner without kiddos. this ended up being a very expensive and disappointing evening!!! there was also live music and was crazy loud if you were so unfortunate as to be seated next to the band. i am 38 so it's not like i'm 100 and we were grateful to be sitting in the lounge with a little distance between us and the band. the music was at least nice but we wished we had eaten somewhere else....anywhere else!!!

this place is amazing both service and food is outstanding. me and my girlfriend came there out of state for a romantic night out and everything was perfect, sat right beside the water so it added to the experience. the food is pricey but what do you expect coming from a establishment like that i talked my girlfriend into trying the sushi iorderedand she loved it (her first time) by all means this resteraunt deserves a 5 of 5!! great job we will be back -dillon phelps
