we love sushi and this may be my boyfriend's favorite spot. i personally think it's a little pricey and maybe just a little more formal of a dining experience than i typically prefer, but the sushi is really pretty good.

awesome atmosphere and food was perfect! the only problem i had was trying to decide what to eat because it all seemed so good.
the service was a+ and we enjoyed our surroundings. we can't wait to come back.

great late lunch! we had lunch on a a friday afternoon. quite, small crowd. very prompt service. great food. a nice eclectic and traditional asian offering. i had lemon grass shrimp. nice presentation of shrimp, mangos, zucchini, carrots onions. the taste was even better. to bad we're only in nashville a few days, would live to come back again.

overpriced and inedible. the food was okay, but we found the children’s menu severely flawed, and the pricing high. short version: the grown-ups mostly enjoyed the food, but the child's quesadilla had waaay too much pepper on it. the child couldn't eat it, and i, an adult who likes pepper said "wow, that's way too much!" if you're going to have a child's menu, then season it appropriately! further, we were offered a "child's lemon-aide" and got charged $2.75 for it. sorry, i don't care if you're in franklin, that's too much. i asked the server about it, and his response was "we get asked that a lot. the owner insists that we charge children the full drink price." and a child's meal is $8? i know that's a pittance to some people, but for a grilled cheese sandwich, that's ridiculous. finally, we were auto-gratuitied 20% when we ordered only 5 meals, including a child's. the service was good, and i would have tipped well, but 20% is a gratuitous gratuity, especially with the high prices and low quality mentioned above. we might have returned at some point without our children, but the overall experience turned us off of that. did i mention the stupid valet parking that makes no sense for a suburban restaurant? if you like over-paying for your food and having your children's food inedible and way over-charged, go for it, but otherwise, i will not be returning, and i recommend you do the same.

our go to restaurant. the food and atmosphere here are awesome. really, i've never ordered something that wasn't done perfectly. it's best to make a reservation, but we've squeezed in at the last minute. definitely fusion and creative with food combinations.

i heard about wild ginger from friends and coworkers, mainly because it's a very upscale sushi restaurant where a lot of local celebrities come through... celine dion, jason aldean, luke bryan, taylor swift, even the occasional rapper.

we started with an order of tokyo gyoza, pan-seared pork and vegetable dumplings. i don't eat much seafood, so these are my asian fusion standby! they were sooooo delicious, some of the best i've had. we also got an order of their bombay calamari. i don't usually eat calamari, but when i tried these i was blown away. the batter tasted like a funnel cake, and the squid was better than i expected. the mango chili sauce that went with it was great too.

upscale greasy. very disappointed in our first visit to this restaurant. its beautiful, good service, great ambiance, but all dishes seemed to come with half of it being deep fried and covered in some sort of cheese and be pretty far from being able to describe it as "asian". having lived and visited all over the world this i have never had an $18 plate of sushi served on "crispy rice" which was like a mcdonalds hash brown. the szchewan fingerling potatoes were deep fried and covered in cheese. the tandoori halibut was served on "gratin" that was a solid brick of cheese. all the oily food overwhelmed the subtle flavors of the fish and sauces. menu never mentions food being fried. we had to leave half our food and didn't get anything taken off our check. would go back for traditional maki or sashimi and cocktails but would avoid everything else.

great ambience, upscale, good service. we picked a couple of favorites of the server and were disappointed. the sushi we ordered wasn't the traditional sushi and we didn't know that and weren't told. it was called the bermuda triangle and i wouldn't recommend it. it was served on hard cakes of rice that were deep fried. we also ordered beef medallions and they came fried, which we didn't expect and they were swimming in the sauce. the manager agreed and took it off the bill. so, good service but one must order the right food. the menu looks terrific and make sure the server tells you how it is prepared..

worth it. ok, so wild ginger is expensive...like in the neighborhood of $60 to $90 for drinks(alcoholic), appetizers, and two sushi rolls. if you can't stomach that, then you probably should go somewhere else. once you've made peace with that amount of cash leaving your wallet, here's the scoop in a nutshell: the sushi is a-mazing, the waiters are nice and attentive, and should you be lucky enough to go on a night when the jazz band is playing...um, yes my friends, heaven.

the hubby and i have tried (almost) every sushi restaurant in nashville and hands down have not had such tantalizing flavor combinations hit our palates in one sitting. we started with the kobe beef appetizer which was crazy expensive for an app ($35) but the hubby had never had the pleasure of being served a hot lava rock on which he could cook his own tender bite-size morsels of kobe beef tableside. it's quite the experience and created a thick layer of smoke that most assuredly annoys those around you... but what the heck, you're the one enjoying it right? after those shenanigans, we split the sunrise roll and the m2 roll. the sunrise roll is full of delicious crunchy shrimp and topped off with the most tender and fresh tasting salmon i've ever had. adding to the visual appeal, were slivers of bright orange mango and creamy green avocado peeking out of from underneath the salmon. it was all topped off with a delicate drizzle of sweet honey sauce and a beautiful mosaic of specialty house sauces bordering the outside of the plate. the m2 roll was about two notches below the sunrise roll but again, far better than we've had elsewhere.

so put your hands up in the air and wave them like you just don't care, and go have some amazing sushi!

unique food and outstanding service. i have only had positive experiences when dining at wild ginger. i've planned several corporate events at wild ginger for groups from 20 people up to 60 and they've done an outstanding job of putting together unique fusion menus to appeal to anyone. i saw the another poster write about a seattle location...there's no connection between those 2 restaurants. the only downside is that their sushi is large and sometimes tricky to eat but it tastes amazing! the service has always been top notch too! not something you often find in suburban cool springs.

total disappointment!!!. seriously do not go here!!! total bummer of an evening!!! my husband and i used to go to the wild ginger in seattle so when we moved to franklin and heard there was a location nearby we were really excited. oh where to start. the menu has completely changed. this is pretty much a sushi restaurant with a few token chinese dishes. we were not craving sushi and were disappointed in the meager chinese offerings so i opted for seafood. you would think that with 90% of the menu being dedicated to all things fish that the seafood dish would be a no brainer. no way!!! i ordered grilled shrimp and scallops. my plate had one shrimp and two scallops. that's right people. and a huge lump of gnochi pasta (which they have no business making)!!! none of the flavors complimented each other and my dish was $23. seriously!!!! the scallops and shrimp were way over cooked!!! yuck!!! my husband's meal wasn't much better. he ordered the filet and was disappointed as well. what a miss. i am writing this because i love the information that urbanspoon offers and am always trying new restaurants based on the reviews on urbanspoon. unfortunately, we hired a babysitter to watch our 2 children so we could enjoy a nice dinner without kiddos. this ended up being a very expensive and disappointing evening!!! there was also live music and was crazy loud if you were so unfortunate as to be seated next to the band. i am 38 so it's not like i'm 100 and we were grateful to be sitting in the lounge with a little distance between us and the band. the music was at least nice but we wished we had eaten somewhere else....anywhere else!!!

honest opinion. as a sushi chef, i was very excited to try this place on my night out with my girlfriend. looking up some nice restaurants online we found wild ginger and looked over the menu and were eager to try it. the only problem was that we had a dog with us, so i called to check if dogs were allowed on their outdoors patio area. upon picking up the phone, the hostess sounded very annoyed when i tried to ask her about dogs being allowed. she put me on hold for well over ten minutes which i can understand since it was a busy time (right around 8 o clock). when she finally did get back to me, she told me that dogs were indeed allowed but only out on the patio area and hung up on me. content to have an answer, i drove out to wild ginger from near leiper's fork, which isn't exactly a short drive, only to arrive and find out that they do not allow dogs at all.

my complaint here is not so much that they don't allow dogs or that the hostess told me the wrong information. my problem with wild ginger is that despite my inconvenience at the unprofessionalism of one of their employees, they treated me very poorly throughout the entire process with not so much as a single apology or anything for what was obviously their mistake and in fact, acted very high and mighty as if trying to bring a dog to a restaurant was the most lowly and awful thing to do.

i will not be back to this restaurant due to their lack of professional etiquette and common courtesy.
