this one is giving lucky buddha a run for its... clientele? the location on the waterfront is lovely, and even with an inside table, there is ample natural lighting from the harbour windows to the north. the restaurant had only just opened when we visited so it wasn't very busy, and i understand that many of the staff were still in-training. this wasn't noticeable though as everyone was really attentive, and the server was happy to keep coming back when we couldn't make up our mind on what to eat.
the most standout dish that we tried was the spiced curry of coconut cream, with fresh tomatoes, fried silken tofu, green beans, spinach, and almonds - could have had two of these on their own, and we would have been pleased.
the crispy friedporkhock, with tamarind caramel, crispy ginger, coriander, and chilli was also very good.
overall, was a great dinner, and only came to about $110 for four people with shared dishes (no drinks) and we were amply full and flavour-satisfied.
