two thumbs up for the following:
1. xiao long bao - soup inside the baos was perfectly flavoured
2. korean kung pao - i loved its dressing! the spicy fried chicken was agreatappetizer for the main course.
3. tom yum - although it was a minimalist dish with only 4 pieces of prawn, it was cooked to perfection! the sweet, sour and spicy blend was divine!

slight dismay on the following
1. wagyu beef siumai - it tasted like it was prepared a few days ago, as the beef tasted old and rancid.
2. beef shin red curry - had too much coriander in it (sorry not a fan of coriander). beef was tender, though.

$81 for two. not bad for the quality, service and location.

a group of 4 ventured down to white & wong on anzac day. initially i was horrified to see there was a 20% surcharge but then nerves calmed when we understood the surcharge was going to the rsa – nice one white & wong!!!

food: 9/10
karaage chicken gua pao – so good!
roast pork belly gua boa – equally as good!
both amazing value at 2 for $12.00
pork & coriander dumplings – always a winner
wagyu beef shumai – not my fave but a hit with the others
egg foo yung – this was awesome but very decadent as it was smothered in yum yum sauce. full of flavor and fresh ingredients. we could’ve eaten two of these.
roti roll – madam woo has always been my fave with these rolls but white & wongs version is great.

service: 8.5/10
attentive wait staff, friendly, helpful and accommodating

ambience 9/10
always nice to sit outdoors with a view of the water. good tunes were played –greatplace to spend anzac afternoon

what a cool place, food is tasty, fairly priced and fresh! we will definitely be back. bathrooms are definitely out there :-)

this one is giving lucky buddha a run for its... clientele? the location on the waterfront is lovely, and even with an inside table, there is ample natural lighting from the harbour windows to the north. the restaurant had only just opened when we visited so it wasn't very busy, and i understand that many of the staff were still in-training. this wasn't noticeable though as everyone was really attentive, and the server was happy to keep coming back when we couldn't make up our mind on what to eat.
the most standout dish that we tried was the spiced curry of coconut cream, with fresh tomatoes, fried silken tofu, green beans, spinach, and almonds - could have had two of these on their own, and we would have been pleased.
the crispy fried pork hock, with tamarind caramel, crispy ginger, coriander, and chilli was also very good.
overall, was agreatdinner, and only came to about $110 for four people with shared dishes (no drinks) and we were amply full and flavour-satisfied.

i had lunch/ euro-chinese fusion yum char here in early april around 2pm and it was sadly disappointing.

firstly, the service was good and the decor was beautiful and i really did like the ambience of the place.

however the food ( specifically the lunch) just was notgreat- some were good and one in particular so bad..

the papaya salad was good, i always seem to love them and would recommend this to anyone.
the green curry was a waste of money. there was probably 5 bits of chicken and the rest was the curry - it was 30 odd dollars for it so we were expecting a decent sized curry.

the pork belly buns had a sliver of pork belly which wasn't flavourful enough with the bread. the bread was good though at least

the xiao long bao.... they were so bad.. and i'm not saying that rashly.. firstly they looked extremely flat and then when you go to get one it instantly broke and the soup went everywhere! i liked the flavour but if you're going to call it a xiao long bao you cannot have the skin breaking before you even get it in your bowl/ on your plate.
the shrimp coriander har gows i.e. rice skin dumplings were good even though i hate coriander.

i would want to come to try dinner but would not bother to have their lunch menu again. it is overpriced and the not-so xiao long baos and the pricey curry didn't leave me with such agreatfood experience

again the service is good, definitely nothing wrong with that but until i revisit and get a better food experience i can't really give it higher than a 2.5.

outstanding food!
amazing service!
went to this restaurant with my gang of girls. we were unable to decide what to eat as everything on the menu looked tempting. our server flo was extremely patient and helpful. he suggested a lot of dishes and they all were exquisite and delicious. he was our man of the evening (see the photo). such a lovely guy! the cashier was also quite courteous. kudos to the chefs, the food was extremely delectable. the restaurant has a lovely aura with breathtaking views of the sea. a bit on the expensive side but the fantastic service, greatfood and elite location makes it totally worth it.

yum! was a friday night so pumping and lines to eat and pay butgreatfast service so nothing was a worry. spicy chicken and duck pancakes so good and plentiful too much for one sitting so they packed it all up in cute little boxes for lunch the next day!

really good for fusion food. very flavourful and reasonably quick service. the curry could be spicier but that’s to be expected to cater for a crowd. the prices were also to be expected given the location.greatvibes too.

cute spot to grab dinner with your friends in town, the menu has such a variety to please everyone! i really enjoyed the fried chicken bao, fijian style sashimi, but my absolute favourite is the goat massaman curry. i have never tried goat before but the curry was delicious, so thick, creamy and rich, it’sgreatto split between friends! overall would highly recommend :)

we went for the 'feed me'option where everyone pays$65 (i think?) and they keep bringing plates and plates of food. there was so much, and such a good way to try things i wouldn't usually pick. loved it all! and we sat outside on a lovely day so we had agreatview of the water.
