rude manager!. this was my second visit to whiskey cake. we picked this place to celebrate our friend’s milestone birthday. it was a big mistake! the manager sarah, is the probably the rudest person i have ever met. we collectively gave them business of around 400 dollars on our table. one of our friends (who was a little under the weather to begin with) fell ill in the restaurant. we did the responsible thing and called her husband to come to get her immediately. we were also responsible enough to hire a limo to drive us to andbackfrom this place. the manager sarah, came to us and in front of all the people blasted us for being irresponsible and accused us of going to two other bars before coming to her establishment. as a matter of fact, this was our very first stop right after we got into the limo. once our friend left, i tried to have a word with her and let her know that it was disrespectful. she literally said – “not in my establishment” and escorted us out to the patio to talk. so it was ok for her to talk to us in that fashion in front of all her other guests, but not ok for us to question her in her establishment. from my conversation with her, i realized she had no respect us or appreciation for the money we spent there! she did retortbacksaying “i don’t think you spent that much here, i can pull up your tab” and then “have you never made a mistake in your life? yes, i made a mistake!” (her half hearted attempt at an apology), when i told her she was wrong to make assumptions about us.
well on the plus side, the food was good – especially the brussels sprouts and the whiskey cake. the waiter who helped us was very polite as well. another waitress (who had piercings), who came out to patio with us while we were speaking to sarah was nice as well. we would have comebackhad it not been for this rude behavior. we surely felt unwanted and will not be spending a dime of our money in here again.
