boozy cake and half a chicken. i love whiskey cake, my wife loves whiskey cake, we all love whiskey cake!

we ate here quite a bit when we first started dating. excellent date place, good beer, great food. there's thing where you can get like half a chicken on a bed of sweet potato hash. it's kinda awesome. also, great salads!

when we moved back to the area, we went back and it's still really good. had the brunch for the first time, excellent chicken and waffles.

and, of course, the titular whiskey cake. rich and boozy, a great way to end a meal. my only problem would be that i prefer fries to chips, and chips is their thing with the sandwich style entrees. but i think i'll live.

this is a great restaurant! for brunch they have amazing choices, and they have drinks for kids that will blow your mind!

part of the twin peaks franchise with plans to open in ok city and las vegas.
20 minute wait was actually an hour and 20. ( on a wed eve at 7:30). bar overcharged for drinks which diligent waiter corrected. good service once seated. food was fine ( as in, ehh...); whiskey cake was great. would give a second chance.

we had lunch on a busy sunday and the service was awesome! jason made sure our glasses stayed full, the food was out incredibly quickly, and he packed up what we couldn't finish. he also was very familiar with the menu and made fantastic recommendations.

my only disappointment, the peach bourbon drink was discontinued...so i just had tea, which was freshly brewed and cold.

as for the food, the omg burger (onions, mushrooms, and goodness) totally earns its name! mine was a perfect medium rare. we also had the hummus dip trio, which was incredibly fresh and delicious. my husband had the brunch pancakes, fluffy and warm - the homemade whipped cream is incredible!!!!

good food!!!!. i found the fried green tomatoes to be pretty good. they really came out hot. my daughter had a house salad and the mussels. the mussels came in a bowl in a kind of soup. she said they were very good. mixed drinks were pretty pricey. i have heard they have the coldest beer in town, but i did not try it. while the food was very good, there are other restaurants i prefer. we did have the whiskey cake for dessert and it was also very good. i would go back here. also, we sat at the bar and the service was excellent.

grilled pork was great. whiskey cake was awesome. service wasn't bad. 11/2 hr wait not so good. hostess staff was rude and inconsiderate. wife was on crutches and they failed to offer even a chair to sit on for 1hr and 25 min in.

if you come here and don't order the whiskey cake for dessert, you are making a grave error. amazing. the sauce with the fried green tomatoes was delicious. the chicken and spinach salad was super tasty. pricey but delicious food.

good food and drinks!. went today with my mom, sisters, and our husbands. all the food was great, except the fish dishes and the deviled eggs, which were bland and boring. there are too many other good things to try, so i recommend skipping those. must leave room for some whiskey cake. it is gooooo-oooood! the tennessee stud cocktail is very tasty and refreshing and has some kick! we will be going back.

went midday on a saturday, and seated immediately (last time we tried to get in was a saturday evening and the wait was up to 1 hour...what is this 4th street in austin?).
great service; love the idea of locally sourced food and scratch kitchen (the kind of place on ddd)...
the deviled eggs are worth the trip, esp. since it's an item more likely seen at an old-school church potluck as opposed to the menu of a chic and hip new restaurant in north dfw (plano)!
the omg burger was just that, onions, meat and goodness. i would order it again and again; and the homemade chips were good, although could be a bit more salty.
will be back for dessert!

cool food dawg. this place has cool food! the to go shells are plastic instead of cheap styrofoam, and the place is more detailed than a mansion! it actually has a theme, unlike other restauraunts, and the food is plain good!!! you guys earned my respect, so i am giving you 6 stars, over the top of the burj khalifa!!!

mikeylikesit. great fathers day brunch. 8 of us including 2 kids, 5 and 8. everyone very happy. steak,agg, benedict florentine, omg burger, stuffed french toast, turkey burger, portobello, summer salad with fruits and veggies, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, crispy fries, etc. etc. etc. very good service, fun, friendly atmosphere.

fabulous! worth the drive! :-). we had a wedding to attend over the memorial day holiday and chose to eat brunch here two days running! love the make-your-own bloody mary bar -- do put the homemade jerky in your glass to savor later! both days my husband & i ordered the steak and spinach eggs benedict. the waitstaff was extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and very attentive. the eggs benedict is served on a jalapeno corn muffin. if you don't eat wheat or corn, they have gluten-free bread! it's delicious!

try the hulk and little pink drinks -- so fresh and refreshing. love the "we grow it in our greenhouse" concept. and the decor -- so super cool!

love this place and wish we had one in austin! (please bring whiskey cake to the arboretum or hill country galleria area, please, please!!)

great design!. congrats for the designer! menu was good, service too, was sunday brunch time and was busy, waiting time was pretty desappointing, although while waiting 40-45 min., we noticed at least 4-5 empty tables..., but the small things as nappkins, rings, plates, curtains, colors, firepit, and lights, o gosh, all lights were so creative and so texas! we will come again!

very disappointed .... first visit today ... called in a take-out order for burger and fries. was told order would be about 25 mins. i arrive there in 30 mins and the bartender went to the back to get my order. no biggee ... i get home where i live 5 mins away from whiskey cake only to be disappointed that my fries were not only cold, they were also old (not fresh). it just ruined the whole meal for me. when you pay premium price for burger and fries (which costs me $16), the least one would expect is fresh fries. the fries weren't even remotely hot - they were room temperature and dried out. never again will i go there. if you can't get an order as simple as burger and fries correct, i surely won't waste my hard earned money at this place ordering there again.
