i am not a big fan of indonesian food but i was surprised to like the food they serve here. i love their nasi goreng. this is probably the best i've tasted here in the philippines. i also love their grilled fish. it goes very well with their nasi goreng. i also love their chicken satay. overall, this is one of my favorite restaurant. they serve authentic indonesian food.

as a bonus, you can take home in big serving their food if you have friends coming over. we just needed to pick it up and i guarantee that friends will love the food.

food - 4.5
ambience - 4.5
service - 5.0

if you're willing to try something different i would recommend this place. there aren't a lot of indonesian restaurants in my area and this place is a good alternative from the usual asian restaurants. parking could be diffcult during peak hours however staff is helpful with finding parking space. place is spacious but also intimate. good for big groups. function rooms available. staff accomodating (special mention to our server hazel). overall, a pleasant dining experience.

warung kapitolyo's site used to be a residential house and  spacious one at that.  you won't feel cramped when eating here and there is ample parking within the restaurant. the waiters and waitresses will give suggestions as to pairings of food and number of servings.  we ordered gorengan platter for appetizers which consisted of fried veggies, corn fritters and tempeh (much like ukoy).  for the main course we ordered chicken satay (sate ayam), ayam bakar (grilled chicken), of course beef rendang and nasi goreng.  for fish, we had the ikan pepes (grilled) and ikan bakar(steamed). the food was very authentic and highly recommended.  if you have kids don't forget to order the chicken satay for them.  the pricing is very reasonable at less than 500 per head.

i haven’t been to indonesia to be able to compare the food here with authenticity but they taste great. the place looks nice and the ac is cold. service is also excellent and the waiters kept on refilling our water knowing we would need more since their food is spicy. the beef rendang we ordered quickly disappeared as my kids like it a lot. the fish head curry was also nice but reminiscent of our own sinigang but with curry. the ayam goreng kremes was great and that crispy flakes on top of it was really savory. we also got the gorengan platter.

this is a good indo food fix. all the dishes i've tried are good. the thin martabak is an awesome dessert.

the bali hai beer is very good! would give the stella artois a run for its money.

delicious food! good customer service and they always smile😊. alfresco dine in only. open monday to sunday (11am-2pm and 5pm to 8pm). good ambiance as well. pwede pang chill chill lang. they are very considerate because the server asked us if we had any food allergies and they offered a sample of the sambal (spice) for us to try before they serve or make it. we love it!

warung represents a gastronomic adventure for the typical filipino palate. the richness of the flavors of its authentic indonesian dishes provides a spontaneously duality. on one hand, you can associate it to familiar viands that you will find in typical filipino feasts while on the other hand it also provides a novel experience due to variances in taste in the food offerings of our southeast asian neighbor. this gustatory experience also takes place in a rummah like surroundings that provides a stark contrast to the concrete jungle in the nearby areas. definitely a must visit dining place in kapitolyo.

our first time to dine here. their food is divine, we loved everything that we ordered. their interiors are instagrammable. their customer service are superb, their servers are very attentive and perceptive. i had a big tote with me and before i even asked, one of the servers pulled out another chair and placed it beside me so that i can put my bag there and that's a plus for me 😊

all these 3 are reasons for us to go back here again.

loved the rendang and nasi goreng.

food was so good.

the owners, tita lou and tita tess, were very kind and actually made time to chat with the diners.

the place was spacious and very homey.

gotta love fish. slightly disappointed that they didnt have sambal matah...but they did have sambal terasi which complimented the fish well.

the nasi goreng was a lot smaller than expected considering the price. sate ayam was good but expect it to be a little different than the other more peanuty varieties around the metro.

i'm not knowledgeable in indonesian food so i won't pretend to know a thing or two. so, here are my thoughts we with what my girlfriend and i had:

bakmi goreng: i love stir fried noodles, and i have to say, this was an instant favourite, the liver was an unexpected ingredient to me,but it surprisingly and pleasantly worked!

beef rendang: the taste was well balanced. well enough you could eat it on its own, or maybe enjoy it with white rice? up to you. we had it with nasi goreng.

nasi goreng: honestly there are no words, except the shrimp was perfectly cooked. plump and juicy, not tough and overcooked, obviously the kitchen staff knows their stuff around here.

the service staff: i think one of them was the owner serving us, if she was, then dang if that ain't exemplary management of business, then i don't know what is. everyone was so accommodating, so attentive that raising your hand for their attention was at a complete minimal. i give this a 5/5, they deserve it. i wish this business more success than ever. kudos. this place makes me feel at home. :)
