not really sure why all the 5's?
ordered a few tapas dishes from the menu
and it was average. i felt the quality of the food wasn't of a high standard and it came out way too quickly for the sushi to be made fresh.
enjoyed the ordering system and the booth seating!

wagaya is a gorgeous sanctuary like restaurant in busy fortitude valley. the booths are cosy and comfortable and the ordering system and service are efficient and easy to use. we've enjoyed a few meals here over the last year and they have been consistently high quality. there is a huge variety of dishes to choose from and the alcohol is well priced.

not happy. used to love your lunch menu especially the lunch boxes but now no value for money anymore. this will be my last trip. lunch ramen says 1 free cha shiu but still only 2 pieces same as the normal photo

it's been a few years since i've visited wagaya. i have to say the food was better than ever! my favourites spider roll, fried pork and chicken karage. i noticed they do byo wine now (which i'll remember for next time).

food is fresh
but its bit over price

and not like other japanese restaurant or sushi train so crowded or busy.

wagaya is like a dreamy land about japan in the middle of brisbane. you can grab a lunch menu with reasonable prices or take your date for casual dining. wagaya can offer both and even more. wagaya was the first restaurant i've visited while living in brisbane and my kareshi fell in love instantly with their concept, that we had to keep coming back.

i've been here a few times and never been disappointed.  the service is friendly and quick and the food is delicious.  go for the salmon and the lovely teriyaki chicken.  very good value too, 5 of us go away for about $100 and were quite full.  recommended.

the closet thing i've had to japanese tapas. the setting is unique - sitting in a booth, surrounded by other booths (nice booths), so you feel you have privacy while also enjoying the atmosphere of a busy restaurant.

we ordered a range of dishes - the luxuriant tempura cheese, the homemade pork gyoza, the teriyaki chicken, an asahi (or two, three)! and the pork japanese pancake, or okonomiyaki. i'd last had this in hiroshima - not quite the same, but all in all very good.

you order remotely by tablet as you go, meaning it is a 'test and learn' experience. you can't get buyer's regret by ordering badly; if you see a tasty dish go past, you just order it! and the food is sound, no doubt about it. quick, tasty, and with character.

one of the most fun places i've eaten for some time. i would regard this as a must for visitors to brisbane - a fun way to order, a fun way to eat, a fun way to drink.

we came here because of the high rating but after tasting the food we felt disappointed and disgusted. low quality ingredients, not fresh, squishy looking sushi. dont trust their so call recommended dish or best not to dine here... absolutely disgusting

the dear luncher had no luck locating mr. warren g but did manage to stumble across wagaya. well, it wasn’t really by accident. it was by design due to the amazing things fellow foodies have said about this particular place. upon entering, the aromas immediately  captured the dear luncher’s imagination. the setup was both mysterious and alluring.

fun byo restaurant in the valley which is perfect for dinner and drinks with friends. the sushi is definitely a favourite on the menu. only thing is that you have to book a table in advance, they always seem to be booked out!
