vintage 423 has the right stuff for me!. i had visited vintage a few months ago to see for myself what all the excitement was about! the lobos were playing basketball and the bar was packed; but that didn't seem to hinder the service i received. i was there for a couple of hours and never once had to look for a server or bartender to take my order or provide me with a refill. i had a great experience then so i decided to gobackon a saturday afternoon when i hoped that it wouldn't be so busy...and it wasn't. i arrived around 230ish and was pleased to see that people were eating and drinking happily on the patio. i chose to sit at the bar however because the weather was somewhat cool and breezy. there wasn't a crowd inside and before i could sit down the very attentive bartender was ready to take my order. she offered to bring me warm, fresh bread with olive oil and garlic to dip it in while i decided what i wanted to eat. i ordered a glass of merlot and a ceaser salad for starters. i looked around to observe the other patrons who just as myself were enjoying the sleek atmosphere and company of others. they were dressed casual as most people do on a saturday afternoon in albuquerque and i fit right in. i decided not to order anything else off the menu but i did enjoy drinking a couple more glasses of wine which were fabulous! i stayed for maybe 2 hours and met several new people who themselves enjoyed the awesome service and friendly atmosphere. i find it difficult to believe the poor reviews that have been written because it has been my experience on two seperate occasions that the service and team work of all the employees has been what it should be, and that is to simply ensure that all visitors receive their full attention and a fine dining experience. here's to a job well done vintage!!!!

had such a great experience when my husband and i went last saturday night! a warm welcome followed by a very juicey new york strip steak, cooked to perfection; a great choice for dinner, drinks, and appetizers! the fancy unique decore only made the experience over the top! cannot wait for out next visit!

horrible service, overpriced food!. went to vintage for the first and last time this evening! we were asked "how can i help you" as we walked into this restaurant! that's weird, i thought! then we were seated in a corner booth in the bar. our "server" who i figured out later is actually a bartender finally came around about 15 minutes later to get our drink order. she looked like she just got out of prison, as her arm had a huge tatoo, fully visible and totally out of place for a supposed "upscale" restaurant! i asked for a refill of my water at least 3 times throughout the dinner, but only got 1 refill 30 minutes after asking for it! we were further disrupted by a loud group of angry women accompanied by a few loud, cussing men in the bar area very pissed off at the way they had been treated by a female bartender! the entire experience was unexpectedly classless, rude and unbelievably trashy for a so called "upscale" restaurant! extremely disappointed and will never return! i forgot to mention our check was dropped off and the "server" never camebackto process our payment so i had to walk it up to her at the bar after about 30 minutes! horrified!

this place used to be very good. it is very romantic & nice for albuquerque but the food is over priced and not as good as it once was. bringbackthe bone-in steaks.

rudest owner ever. my husband and i are always looking for new restaurants to try. we happened to see vintage and decided to give it a try. we went for a late lunch so they were not very busy. the host couldn't quite figure out where to seat us so it took a while but that was ok. she finally led us to a booth in the bar area. this is where the problems started. there is a relatively narrow walkway between the booths and the raised seating area. the owner was standing there flirting with two women who really looked like they just wanted him to go away. he looked up and saw us trying to get by but just smirked and went rightbackto his conversation. the best part...i was in a wheelchair so we couldn't just squeeze by. after several awkward minutes, he finally moved. it's bad enough to be 33 and in a wheelchair and deal with the stares and questions...it's even worse when the owner makes a spectacle of you. i really felt like he just didn't want anyone in there that wasn't his definition of perfect. we finally got seated and it just got worse. the servers have no idea what they are doing. i assume they are hired based on looks rather than iq. the food was ok once we finally received it but not really anything special especially for the price. we were definitely excited when we first walked (rolled) in, but that excitement faded quickly. the owners really need to work on the way they treat customers if they want people to come back. i had never been treated as second best until this experience. there are a lot of really good restaurants and bars in abq. i suggest people go to them even if they don't look trendy. it will be a much better experience with better food and nicer people.

terrible service. mediocre food.. went to dinner at 6pm on a saturday. only one other table in our half of the restaurant was occupied, but i think we were a major inconvenience to our waitress. her first encounter with us was to take the wine glasses and walk away without even speaking to us. when she cameback5 min later, she asked us if we were ready to order, and never even mentioned the specials (which we didn't even know existed until much later when we overheard a different server telling his table about them). my silverware was dirty when i unrolled it from the napkin, and after we ordered, we didn't see our waitress for another 45 min. my steak sat on the table for 10 minutes before i was able to get a steak knife from a busboy that happened to be walking by. had our waitress come by after our food was served, i might have had a chance to mention to her that my steak was raw in the middle instead of being medium well. not quite the experience i was hoping for at a restaurant like this. i've gotten better service at applebee's and better steaks at outback

restaurant impossible contender. i called for a reservation and they asked if there was a special occasion. yes, i said. my wife and i had never been there. we were just looking for an anniversary restaurant experience a cut above the usual neighborhood fare, and maybe, we hoped, on par with zinc, bienshur, or rancher's club. what we found was an upscale decor, but that was where the good times ended. poor service, bad food, no fun. our waiter walked away while my wife was in mid-sentence ordering. her food was just tasteless. miracle whip had more flavor than the sauce served with the special (frozen) halibut. my food was palatable, i liked the salad and the truffle fries, but then desert had few choices, nothing good in chocolate, nothing refreshing or surprising. the creme brulee was plain. to top it off, there was no acknowledgement of the occasion whatsoever, not a candle, a cookie, or a congratulations. the bill was over $100. i wont gobackany time soon for dinner unless someone takes a class in food preparation...maybe in the summer for a drink...if the restaurant is still open. call the food network!

went to vintage for dinner. a group of five of us. our server was awful. she made excuses for everything. she came out with3 if our drinks after 10 or so minutes. then 5 minutes later camebackwith the other 2. took our orders and seemed upset that one girl was only doing drinks( she had eaten with some clients earlier that evening). food came out but we were missing the mac and cheese. food just so so. then we were ignored again. server was only pleasant with us at the end if the meal when she had found out we knew the manager. i will not go back. only server who seemed to care about us was mickey, and he wasn't even our server. thank you mickey.

will not return. i went there for a special occasion. could have gone anywhere, but mistakenly chose vintage. this is my second visit. i believe in giving a restaurant more than one opportunity.

we ordered coconut shrimp for an appetizer. it was over-cooked and stringy. the mango chipotle salsa was inedible. it was hot and bitter without flavor.

we had filet mignon, ordered medium. the steaks came out well done, no pink in the middle. they were returned. twenty minutes later the shift manager brought two more out, only they were rare, cold and red in the middle. the steaks were sent back. they each camebackhalf well done and half medium rare. still not right. i asked to speak with stephanie, the manager. she was argumentative. we decided to leave, knowing that vintage 423 is incapable of cooking a meal correctly.

one of the best places to eat in abq. i've been here 3 times and so far i've had the pleasure of tasting the steak quesadilla, prime rib, and chicken alfredo. all of them have been amazing and i look forward to comingbackand trying other items. the setting is unlike any other place in albuquerque, with a patio, a bar, and a dining area to pick from, all with a laidbacklounge like feel. for the quality and taste of the food, i'd say the prices are reasonable, although higher than most places in albuquerque. definitely a keeper, and a great place to take a date.

hope you like bad food. my salad looked like it had just come off the salad bar at whole foods. my white wine was warm. the fish my wife had was overcooked, and my steak was not a great cut.
have beenback2 other times, with similar results---i live nearby. their burgers are ok
their bar is beautiful. but for food, go elsewhere
