a very attractive and charming family-owned restaurant! spouse and i started with minestrone, laden with vegetables in a marvelously seasoned light tomato-based broth. just great! accompanying the soup was excellent fresh bread served with butter and pesto. (we ate the whole loaf.) spouse selected chicken milanese for entrée which was superbly prepared, topped with crushed tomatoes and lemon wedges, served with a side of penne in a pink (tomato/cream) sauce. for entrée, i ordered clams & mussels atop tagliatelle in a light marinara sauce. the clams were sweet, the mussels very large and succulent, and the delectable sauce had just the right amount of seafood taste. a glass of mellow chianti (da vinci) lubricated my dinner while spouse enjoyed a glass of pinot grigio. all of the staff work as a team and are warm, friendly, professional, and attentive including the owner who visited our table. a delightful dining experience!

this is such a nice little cozy italian restaurant.  the service is always excellent, and the place just has a warm neighborhood vibe to it.  this is my go-to italian when i want quiet, intimate, and unpretentious.

absolutely wonderful. this was a most rewarding dining experience. the service was excellent, the food was superb and the dessert was extraordinary. it is a small place and that is probably makes it so good. i had the veal marsala and the veal was sliced very thin and tender enough to cut with a fork. the pasta side was not overcooked. i had the tiramisu for dessert and it was simply to die for. i lived and worked in italy for two years and this was as good an italian restaurant meal as i have had since i left. i talked to the owner and his comment to me was "i try to bring a little bit of italy to my restaurant every day". i am on business here in tampa and this place is now on my must visit list whenever i am in town. thank you urbanspoon for helping me find this gem.

when something is this good, you write about it so others can have the same experience. vino has italian standards, but try their nightly special - typically innovative takes on classics. attentive, courteous service adds immensely to the great plates. it's a small place, so prepare to smell the dishes at the table next to you...this is a good thing!

the name alone is appealing, as vino and pasta are two of my favorite things. located at 3603 w. gandy blvd. in south tampa, vino e pasta is a quaint little italian spot with big flavor. with 2013 coming to a close, i wanted to spend the last few days indulging in my favorite foods before i get back on track to lose those holiday pounds in january. after a hectic week with work and last-minute christmas shopping, i was craving italian comfort food and decided to head over to vino e pasta with a friend. it had not been well over a year since my last visit and i was ready to dive into their delicious menu. my friend and i arrived about 6:30 on a saturday night. the place was bustling and we did not have a reservation. one of the staff members welcomed us and offered us a table on their covered patio if we did not want to wait for a seat in the restaurant. we chose the patio and were immediately greeted with bruschetta and menus. as we enjoyed our bruschetta and looked over the menu, we o

great valentine's dinner. another fantastic night a vino's! food was incredible (as usual) live pianist added a touch of romance. thanks to all the staff that helped me pull off a suprise for my wife on our 1 year anniversary of our engagement that happened last year right at vino's! luis (the owner) is so heplful and a joy to see every time we go to vino's!

wonderful for birthdays. this restaurant will defiantly make your birthday extra special. the atmosphere is so warm and inviting and the food is delicious! the cream puffs were so thoughtful and they even singed happy birthday to you. the owners are very generous people and we will be back for sure! this restaurant is successful because they know the art of entertaining and making everyone feel so welcomed. this place is a must try!!!!

first we were greeted by the owner when we walked in. the atmosphere is small and quaint but very romantic; a lot better than your big restaraunts. the food was amazing!! oh and then the owner stopped talking to another table to thank us on our way out!! we absolutely love that kind of service!! thank you!

very bad service. good for two no four...not even three....very small tables...service sucks....but at least the food worth it..
prices is ok....and idk is just me or the lights are blinking all the time...is kind of annoying...
