i've heard some complain about their prices but the portion sizes are more than generous and the atmosphere lacks pretence which sadly can't be said about most brisbane restaurants nowadays. best italian around.

thank you vine!. had a lovely dinner at vine with my family once again. the quality never falters nor does the plentiful size and it's always a pleasure being greeted by the friendly staff.

always a pleasure. i don't live near the cbd but when i go out for a meal, vine is always at the top of my list. such consistency and quality. i can never go past the fresh pasta, gnocci and ravioli but my partner loves the meats. the best duck in town according to him. the meals are huge and not even as expensive as some other places around that should not be charging what they do.

do yourself a favour and head to vine

lovely food.yes, the prices are high-ish, but in opinion it's justified. service was not overly professional but at least it wasn't pretentious or snippy. i would absolutely go again.

wow, vine did it again for us on saturday!. mark, you certainly lived up to our opinion that vine at new farm is the best! our table of 5 enjoyed superb food washed down with beautiful italian wines, and supported by friendly, helpful service from the boss and his staff. each of us are regular diners who appreciate fine food and wine, and indeed service and value when we get it, and we certainly received it in big servings at vine last saturday night.

vine restaurant - new farm. yes it's in brisbane, and yes it's in the leafy inner suburb of new farm. but this restaurant is so very good it could be anywhere in the world, and it would be a diners favourite!
the menu (both the food and wine) is so appealing and everything so delicious we struggle to choose what to order (that's good in this instance). and i would say, for those budget minded customers, it's prices (for the quality) are very fair and reasonable.
lastly i would add that the lunch or dinner experience is always topped off by excellent service and an elegant but relaxed ambiance, whether you dine in doors or outside.
we'll be there next saturday night with friends who also love the place. but i'd also add that we took a client to vine last week for a belated christmas lunch, and of course he too loved the place, along with my staff.
vine is brisbane's best restaurant, whatever type of food or style of dinning you like! try it!

best in town!. superb food, friendly & efficient service, great bar, excellent coffee, ticks every box! wanting impress an "out of towner", then take them to vine. i recently did this with two wealthy melbourne clients, who commented that vine reminded them of home. forget your swanky over hyped restaurants, go to this well priced & well located restaurant - you will become a regular like many are.

there are better choices. i took my girlfriend out on a date to vine.
the atmosphere was romantic except the food was under portioned, too oily and only warm.
not to mention expensive, i should've picked up on that after admiring the bentley out the front of the restaurant haha.

great night had by all. we dined at vine over the weekend for a christmas get together with a few friends after it being recommended to us by a friend and we had a great time. we were a little early for our booking and our waitress took us through to the bar to have a drink while we waited for our friends. their wine list is quite extensive and we ordered some cocktails that were as good as you will have in any good bar. when our friends arrived we were taken to our table outside under the awning where a lovely breeze was blowing, we decided to order some starters to share. we ordered the antipasto plate that had a good selection of house made roasted vegetables cured meats and ciabatta, also the san danielle prosciutto plate you could tell the meat meat was freshly shaved and not too cold. we had not too long a wait for our entree's to arrive i had the twice baked pork belly that was quite good the scallops were cooked perfectly and the pork was still quite moist and the skin was nice and crispy. my husband had the home made rag pasta which we were told is made in house and he really enjoyed and he can be quite picky! the rest of our friends quite enjoyed there entree's as well. we decided to change to red wine for our main course and were a little unsure what to order and we given some good advice on what would best compliment our meals. when our main courses arrived there was much ooohing and ahhhing at the table and we weren't disappointed by the flavour either! i had the duck dish as duck is a favourite of mine, the skin on the leg and breast were rendered well and the breast was a lovely pink and moist. the leg meat was so tender it fell off the bone and the pearl barley and roasted apple were the perfect accompanier. my husband had the signature dish the seafood tagliatelle and he thoroughly enjoyed it, there was a generous amount of fresh seafood not the horrible frozen 'marinara' mix you often see in those kinds of dish's. the sauce was not to heavy as to overwhelm the taste of the seafood and just the right kick of chilli to lift the whole dish. i must also say that the wait staff were very attentive without out being annoying and seemed to appear when we needed our glasses refilled. when it came to ordering dessert we were all quite full but decided to order a couple desserts and a cheese plate to share. we had the tiramisu which we were told was a house favourite, the creme brulee and a plate of the four cheeses on offer. the tiramisu did not disappoint it was very light and was not over powered by the liqueurs, one of our friends said it was as good as they had tried in italy. the brulee had that lovely crisp shell that i just love cracking into and the pistachio was a great twist on a classic dessert. the cheese plate was quite generous and the the cheeses weren't too cold, a pet peeve of mine i want them to be nice and soft and oozy. overall our meal was fantastic the service was excellent and will definitely be back again...soon!!

best seafood pasta!!. i love this place. i often come here for breakfast and dinner and so far i’ve had nothing but good experiences. i usually have the italian breakfast but my partner recently ordered the potato cakes and they were delicious! they were thin and crispy, not like heavy hash browns which is what i’d been expecting. vine’s dinners are the main drawcard for me, though. i always get the seafood pasta – it’s the best i’ve ever had and i can’t find anything else like it in brisbane. the boys who own it – i recently realised they weren’t the one person but two brothers who look alike – are always friendly, remembering us and treating us like regulars when we come. i’m always amazed that more people don’t know about vine.

better known for their amazing italian good, vine also serves spectacular breakfast on saturdays and sundays. away from the hustle and bustle of busy brunswick street, vine is the perfect spot to enjoy some peace and quiet, read the paper and pig out! they have some old favourites and italian style dishes; my top pick is the “italian breakfast”, two eggs fried in napoli sauce served with toasted ciabatta (and of course, i order bacon on the side), or the sautéed garlic field mushrooms served with flavoursome feta. a little slice of italian charm in new farm, belissimo!

not worth spending 30 dollars for a main in a restaurant with flies buzzing around, bad air-conditioning, slow service and watery pork ragu!

i'm moving to melbourne.... something about brisbane makes people want to pay exorbitant amounts of money for small servings of food. it's almost as if there is an inverse proportion law in regard to the size of the serving, relative to the price. vine is an excellent example of this.

went there recently as party of 20 for a birthday. upon arriving, i was informed by my friend who had booked it that in the last few days it had turned in to a debacle with vine moving the goal posts somewhat.

initially she was told that she could bring her own wine. then was told that there was a limit of 4 bottles, but for us they'd raise that to 6 but we would also have to pay $15/head corkage.

following this, she was told that we would have to choose from a reduced menu, due to the size of our group. left us with 4 choices of entrees and four choices of mains.

the food was excellent, but brisbane being what it is, a $20 entree, $47 for a 220g steak on a pressed potato stack with no sides, along with $15/head corkage, makes for an expensive and mildly irritating night out.

this place, among others has convinced me that i should to move to melbourne and get the same quality food, at half the price.
