vine

poor in any aspect. we went to this restaurant for a quick dinner on march 6,2015.
after being seated, we received the menu and i could not stop wondering about another customer who was seated in my direct view on another table.
he played around with a veal (?) chop cut it into little bits and just kept moving it on the plate without eating even 1/2 of it.
i guess that he did not want to draw attention to his dish to the other 3 guests joining him.

we ordered a seafood pasta dish - pasta was undercooked ( not to be confused with al dente ) and an aged beef filet steak in 'medium rare' with sauce béarnaise.
aged beef was not trimmed before being seared, cooked 'medium well' to 'well done' and came with a hollandaise sauce.
after i sent the beef back and opted not to re-order it, i was questioned loudly by the owner (?) who stated that - in his opinion - the steak had been prepared perfectly.
we were advised to 'not come back' by this person after we paid the bill ....
i can only recommend to the above mentioned person to try any average restaurant in hong kong ( where we live ). he might be in for a very big surprise and a wake up call.

chorizo to die for. we shared the salumi plate....and the chorizo melted in my mouth like no other (coming from a country town with a culture that has celebrated antipasto, meats, cheeses and condiments on a daily and weekly basis). this was amazing!

the main did not disappoint steak cooked with expertise (even at very, very we'll done). cooked to perfection and tender as, like knife through butter. oh and the mash and bearnaise sauce was soooo good that one of my fellow diners wanted to order it for desert!

the taste sensation carried on with the espresso creme brûlée that was different, light and just amazing.

please don't miss the experience!

definitely one of brisbane's top restaurants. i eat here every week and the food, wine and service is second to none. not too sure what wog_boy_95 is going on about - maybe he was having a bad night..... i have never had a bad meal or experience here. the wait staff are brilliant and attentive and the owner is always welcoming and takes the time to speak to us. i have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. team vine - you do an amazing job. keep up the good work!!!!!!

unhappy valentine's. my partner and i came to experience vine on the night of valentine. i had very high expectations considering the price and the menu which was listed. i had every intention to impress my partner although it was nothing which i expected. let me start with the positive.

our waitress for the evening was great. she was consistent , efficient and had great professionalism. our waitress was very lenient on the chefs as how long our food was taking. our entrée came out on time but we waited more then an hour for our main having to consistently chase up our waitress for the food. our waitress was very apologetic.

our food did not meet up to what was advertised on the menu. the duck was cold and fatty. it did not have crispy skin. the salad was salad mix from the supermarket with vinegar and oil. it was nothing at all. the duck option was poorly presented. not a great start at all

our main was not great at al considering the time, presentation and taste.

my partner had an over cooked piece of fish with bland couscous. once again it looked like someone had thrown it all together.

i had the lamb, once again salad from supermarket and tough lamb. not much flavour and the herb crumb was soggy. massive disappointment.

the desert was ok but the size was tiny and for the price i paid i was expecting a massive wow.

compensation for waiting over an hour for our meal was a complimentary round of cocktails. however the dirty gin martini which we had ordered was mixed with olive oil and not broke

the amount of oil sitting in the glass was disgusting. my partner could not drink this at all. the olives had seeds. very unusual for a martini.

the only great thing about the night was my partners company. would never recommend vine to anyone. i felt guilty bringing my partner there specially on such a special night.. very upset and disappointed. i wish i could turn back time.

absolutely love it and would strongly recommend / one of my favourites or new place that i can’t wait to go again. i would drive across the city for you!

excellent.saturday night and it was busy but the staff ensured we were kept advised so it was all good. food was great. well done

just moved into the post code and have found a gem. won't need to travel anywhere else for some great food, great service and great ambiance. outstanding, should be hatted.

one word....yum - had birthday lunch there. started with bruschetta for entree, gnocchi for mains and cheesecake for dessert. all three were yum, the gnocchi light a, fluffy and flavoursome. service was just right. we will beback.

second visit for sunday lunch. again was not disappointed. not cheap but serving sizes spot on, food delicious, service cannot fault, altogether a great restaurant.

fabulous food and great service. we had sat lunch here. we had the antipasto plate, entrée risotto and the quail entree. all the food was fabulous! the service was excellent! highly recommended.

wow. great food and atmosphere. tucked away from the main street of restaurants in new farm but is well worth seeking out. the antipasto starter and desserts were amazing.

hooley dooley, check out this grub! brisbane is coming out.  amazing pasta being served up at vine.  really amazing pasta. this is top notch.  really yum. this soft shell crab risotto is yum yum yum. great crab.

amazing. first time diners and we loved it. i had planned a special suprise dinner for our anniversary and dropped off the gift a few days prior to dining there so it could be on the table when we arrive. when we arrived everything was perfect and my wife was holding back the tears of happiness. it was the 'magic' start to the night i was hoping for. thanks to all the staff at vine.

soooooo good. i came here with my partner on tuesday the 19/8/14. we had never been here before but i can garuntee we will be back. a really classy set up, nice atmosphere, wonderful service (fiona is fantastic) and sensational food. the beef cheek was amazing and the lamb rump was out of this world. great wine selection and the pink lady apple tart with vanilla bean icecream was one of the best desserts we have ever had.

andy osment. fantastic place..i was there for dinner with my partner last nite and were visiting from melbourne.highly recommend this place for the following reasons...lovely staff that make you feel so welcome and special..the service is impeccable..very attentive and friendly without being over the top. we had two entree!s and a main and shared a dessert.u are able to byo which we did and the drink waitress even decantered an aged red wine..the ambience is stylish...it is cosy,warm,an excellent vibe..we were just "two of us "and it was nice and intimate, but there were larger groups equally enjoying this lovely restaurant.the food is great and beautifully presented. i wouldn't hesitate to take my family and friends there for a great nite out well done vine
