mother's day delight. took my mother and father out yesterday and was amazed with the level of service and quality of food, especially given how busy they were. best italian i've had in brisbane with hugefoodservings.

refurbished and just as fabulous!. i haven't been here for awhile, but noticed the renovations going on a few weeks ago. i love this place, the food, the staff, the owners. so mothers day was a great opportunity to go back for breakfast. the interior is lovely, we sat up the back and it was warm, quiet, dark and comforting. nice padded seats around the edges. first i have to say, from the original booking phone call to the day....the staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful. and even though my booking for a busy mothers day was a bit late, the recommendations to come a bit earlier so they could fit us in was perfect. all the staff who looked after us this morning were smiling, happy, friendly and attentive. nothing was a bother - yet they didn't crowd or pester us....perfect. coffee was good, way better than i expected.foodwas delicious. perfect crusty italian style bread, eggs cooked as each individual wanted them, scrumptious bacon and a lovely tomato italian style salsa. just plain yum!

wait a while. after a saturday morning jog, a quick and large feed was warranted. yet after an hour and half wait, i was ready to eat my arm! when thefoodfinally arrived, after almost 2 hours!, we were pleasantly surprised. excellent vegetarian breakfast with chewy haloumi and perfect scrambled eggs and the leg ham with hollandaise sauce were exceptional. mince on toast was a little rich and salty for breakfast but our hunger got the better of us and we consumed the lot.
will we be back? maybe if i order a few days in advance.

great experience, as usual.. had the fillet steak (for about the fifth time) at vine the other night and, as usual, it was delicious and well cooked (i ordered it done 'medium'). accompaniments were very nice also, as was the bearnaise sauce (and yes, according to my copy of larousse gastronomique, the sauce had all the indicia of a bearnaise - cf. a previous reviewer's comments). staff, as usual, were polite and friendly. at this price-point this is a very good restaurant indeed, and in my view compares favorably against other restaurants in this category in many cities around the world.

great restaurant. this is one of our favourite restaurants in brisbane. we are regulars and tend to order the same dishes (panzanella salad, chicken sandwich or quail salad for lunch and seafood tagliatelle, fillet steak, roasted kipfler potatoes and mixed greens for dinner). thefoodis consistently of a high standard. the wine list is very good and the coffee is first rate. the wait-staff are always friendly and attentive. ambience is great. we really enjoy coming here.

the menu has a mix of modern and traditional italian dishes and we had a little trouble deciding on what we would have. it was one of those times where we could easily have had the dishes, but that's not the life of afoodblogger, so we eventually made our selections and settled in. after ordering, it gave us an opportunity to take a good look at the interior of vine, which felt very comfortable yet refined, with white linen table cloths and beautiful cutlery.

had the most delicious dinner there tonight, entree and main were both filled with delightful freshness and flavor. we enjoyed thefoodso much! and staff were wonderfully friendly ! will definitely go back again, and again :) currently my favorite restaurant in brisbane !

my husband and i enjoyed a really nice breakfast at vine on the weekend.foodwas nice, service was excellent and the coffee tasted great. i had the eggs and avocado and my husband had the haloumi fritters. i would definitely come back :-) i'd love to try their dinner menu!

everything was well done. the service was professional and timely, the staff understood and could explain all menu items, including wine. thefoodwas excellent. we enjoyed the steak and also the beef cheeks. the dessert was fantastic. pecan pie and coffee double cream, yum. the raspberry curd tart was good, but the blood orange sorbet is what made it a winner.

unhappy valentine's. my partner and i came to experience vine on the night of valentine. i had very high expectations considering the price and the menu which was listed. i had every intention to impress my partner although it was nothing which i expected. let me start with the positive.

our waitress for the evening was great. she was consistent , efficient and had great professionalism. our waitress was very lenient on the chefs as how long ourfoodwas taking. our entrée came out on time but we waited more then an hour for our main having to consistently chase up our waitress for the food. our waitress was very apologetic.

ourfooddid not meet up to what was advertised on the menu. the duck was cold and fatty. it did not have crispy skin. the salad was salad mix from the supermarket with vinegar and oil. it was nothing at all. the duck option was poorly presented. not a great start at all

our main was not great at al considering the time, presentation and taste.

my partner had an over cooked piece of fish with bland couscous. once again it looked like someone had thrown it all together.

i had the lamb, once again salad from supermarket and tough lamb. not much flavour and the herb crumb was soggy. massive disappointment.

the desert was ok but the size was tiny and for the price i paid i was expecting a massive wow.

compensation for waiting over an hour for our meal was a complimentary round of cocktails. however the dirty gin martini which we had ordered was mixed with olive oil and not broke

the amount of oil sitting in the glass was disgusting. my partner could not drink this at all. the olives had seeds. very unusual for a martini.

the only great thing about the night was my partners company. would never recommend vine to anyone. i felt guilty bringing my partner there specially on such a special night.. very upset and disappointed. i wish i could turn back time.

excellent.saturday night and it was busy but the staff ensured we were kept advised so it was all good.foodwas great. well done

one word....yum - had birthday lunch there. started with bruschetta for entree, gnocchi for mains and cheesecake for dessert. all three were yum, the gnocchi light a, fluffy and flavoursome. service was just right. we will beback.

second visit for sunday lunch. again was not disappointed. not cheap but serving sizes spot on,fooddelicious, service cannot fault, altogether a great restaurant.

fabulousfoodand great service. we had sat lunch here. we had the antipasto plate, entrée risotto and the quail entree. all thefoodwas fabulous! the service was excellent! highly recommended.

wow. greatfoodand atmosphere. tucked away from the main street of restaurants in new farm but is well worth seeking out. the antipasto starter and desserts were amazing.

andy osment. fantastic place..i was there for dinner with my partner last nite and were visiting from melbourne.highly recommend this place for the following reasons...lovely staff that make you feel so welcome and special..the service is impeccable..very attentive and friendly without being over the top. we had two entree!s and a main and shared a dessert.u are able to byo which we did and the drink waitress even decantered an aged red wine..the ambience is stylish...it is cosy,warm,an excellent vibe..we were just "two of us "and it was nice and intimate, but there were larger groups equally enjoying this lovely restaurant.thefoodis great and beautifully presented. i wouldn't hesitate to take my family and friends there for a great nite out well done vine
