just go!. business colleague and i in from various cities around the us. long day, non existent lunch. foundvillaravenna here and double-checked on yelp.com. didn't make a reservation, walked in, immediately seated (last table), couple of big parties 12+ there. service was superb, owner welcomed us and checked in with us a couple of times. my colleague and i both ordered the special, chilean sea bass with linguine. it came out with the other version, risotto. our waiter stopped the expediter and he picked up all three plates (other colleagues was fine), corrected plates along with our colleague's, were delivered very quickly. the fact that they picked up the plate that was correct so he wouldn't have to eat before us and to keep it warm was an indication of the level of service here.

all of us were very impressed. couldn't imagine finding a restaurant of this caliber in tulsa. i am here frequently on business and it will be my standard dinner spot. awesome for clients as well.

delicious mother's day dinner!. it was mother's day and i was craving italian food. we were coming back home from out of town and we were tired, not to mention that our 18 month old son would be in no shape to sit through dinner. my favorite italian restaurant closed so i was looking for a new one to try and came across this gem. we called and asked if we could order our food to go and pick it up. the staff was super friendly on the phone. we arrived there in 15 minutes and our food was piping hot and ready to go! we ordered 2 appetizers, one was pears with cheese and then a shrimp appetizer with avocado and pineapple. oh my goodness...it was delicious! my husband ordered the veal piccata and i ordered the chicken piccata. it was light and delicious and the pasta was amazing. my husband ordered mushroom risotto and it was delicious too, our young son kept asking for more of it. thanks tovillaravenna, i enjoyed a wonderful mother's day meal in the comfort of our own home. i couldn't have asked for a better meal. we will be coming back shortly for our anniversary and look forward to actually eating there in the restaurant. thank you, villaravenna, now i have a favorite tulsa italian restaurant again!

first time tovillaravenna and the consensus was overall good. one member of the party had an escargot starter, followed by veal marsala. the escargot was flavorful and the veal was tender. the waiter expressed many people thought the marsala sauce was tarte compared to others, but we thought quite the contrary. another member of the party had the salmon pasta. the salmon was cooked nicely but the dish was probably not something we would choose to order again. the third member of the party ordered the lamb chops. i have to say i've had the priveledge of eating lamb chops all over the world and these were right on par of some of the most perfectly cooked lamb...ever. the mash was also quite tasty. and finally to the last dish...my dish. the sea scallops. sigh, i have to say i was very disappointed. after having tasted the perfectly cooked lamb, i expected my scallops to melt in my mouth, instead i was met with overcooked scallops. the flavor was nice with the sea salt - but scallops are a fine art and i was not on the same page as the artist...i probably did a disservice by not sending them back, but i hate being that person...they were edible, so i endured. :) the mushroom risotto was nice. the waiter advised on his favorite wine which was fantastic. he was a little quirky, but we liked that. he checked on us just enough and we weren't asked how every little thing was, which is annoying to us. it was a nice dinner, some exceeding an some lacking but all in all i'd recommend this restaurant.

special birthday dinner. i took my husband here for his 50th birthday on (urbanspoon) faith, although we had never been tovillaravenna before. it is tucked into the corner of a modern strip mall, but just call and sergio will wave you down. i had no trouble finding delicious vegan items on the menu, and he had wild game and was very pleased with it. the waiter was friendly, attentive, and professional. everyone made an effort to make sure we had a quiet corner. but wait ... the desserts were to die for!! and i am very fussy. even though my chocolate mousse was amazing, i kept stealing from my husband's limoncello cake. "life changing!" he said. the very gracious owner chatted with us at length and we learned a lot about limoncello (which sits in large glass urns here and there in the restaurant). the waiter slipped us eat a tiny glass and it was exquisite. just amazing. you owe it to yourself to try this lovely restaurant. we will be back!

our favorite italian in tulsa. we have had the pleasure of dining atvillaravenna for over a year. heard about from a friend and everytime we go we take a new couple -- we you love something you want to share it. the food and staff are polite, attentive, educated and welcoming. we have never had a bad meal. may i make suggestions......dates, boar sausage and melon/salami salad for appetizers, and beef medalions, eggplant lasagna, gnocchi, sea bass and carbonara are just a few of the many wonderful things. lastly - you can't leave without a shot of limoncello shared with limoncello cake or tiramasu. yum!!!!

upscale italian at the farm. my visit tovillaravenna last saturday night began with a warm welcome as we were seated. there were several wait staff anxious to meet our needs before our actual waiter approached. this was all very positive. we ordered the house chianti, which was flavorful and just bold enough. the bread arrived with a plate of herbs and olive oil. i was disappointed in the bread's texture but the flavor was good. i ordered the salad with strawberries, spinach and feta; it was delicious and a large portion. my lobster ravioli came in perfect timing. it was not the best i've had but delicious. my friend ordered the steak marsala and it was exquisite. all and all i would recommend this restaurant and will go back but i wish they would reconsider their bread. the waiter was spot on throughout the meal.

i never post reviews, with that said, i was compelled to log in and write something aboutvillaravenna. service was outstanding. our waiter, was very patient with my oh-so-picky-husband and myself! he was very thorough and new the menu well. we finally decided on a cocktail for my husband and a glass of silverado chardonnay for me. the appetizers arrived quickly and were delicious. the main course was extraordinary. veal osso bucco and black pasta seafood. for dessert we took tiramisu home and ate it while watching a show. fantastic!!!!!! our new favorite restaurant in tulsa. we felt as if we were back in sorrento.

best restaurant in town. i love thevillaravenna, amazing authentic italian food. thevillais great for just a night out for great food or for a special occasion. i recently had my first wine dinner and i have to say it went above my expectations. i have been to most all the upper scale restaurants in tulsa and thevillaravenna has the best wait staff by far. i am a huge coffee drinker and they make each cup for me fresh. no one else in town has done that for me. i give thevillarevenna 5 stars!

villa ravenna, celebrating over five years in tulsa, it's no wonder reservations must be made to get a table...especially on a friday or saturday night!      i took one of my favorite "couple" clients to dinner at this authentic italian eatery. i didn't choose this, they did. why? because it's their "go to" italian restaurant in tulsa.  and they know italian food because the husband of this dynamic duo is from italy.     as we walked into the restaurant, being that my clients frequentvillaravenna quite often, we were greeted by the owner, sergio orioli. he and my client began the greetings and short conversation in italian as we were led into the dining room to our table. i completely left the ordering up to my clients... who quite frankly, i now consider friends. they ordered well.        we started with the prosciutto wrapped figs, drizzled with a sweet balsamic vinegar, then topped with gorgonzola cheese then baked and topped off with a crunchy walnut.  so good!!      next, we had

after hearing great reviews about this resturant, we decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversay atvillaravenna. i mentioned this when making reservations. we enjoyed the atmosphere, very nice. unfortunatly we were seated in area where tables were very close and hard to have conversation with table of four next to you that never stopped discussing their most recent trips. the staff was very business like, no small
talk to make you feel like the intimate restaurant i was expecting. we explained to waiter our first visit, he almost seemed annoyed with us, soup nazi ish, all business. i will say the appetizer, salad, bread were all very good. my wife had eggplant, she says was very good, maybe best she has eaten. my grilled salmon on the other hand was dry, overcooked, and very thin for salmon. the pasta served as a side dish mixed with small amount of spinanch was rather bland. the cannoli was very goid, but creme brulee was served cold, prefer top to be warm for nice contrast of warm crusty top to custard below. overall, nice romantic atmosphere, stick with traditional italian pasta dishes, stay away from $23 grilled salmon that was dry, overcooked, with little flavor. perhaps a different waiter may have halped salvage this evening, but left with mixed feelings. this was not the family orientated, great service, great food restaurant i had heard about from friends and from reviews. i will probably give this place one more chance in the future, hopefully a waiter who can smile and be patient with first time visitors to their restaurant.

had dinner with some dear friends at this charming restaurant last night. the food was wonderful (the grilled pears with gorgonzola were outstanding, as was the fresh, house-made pasta) the service was excellent and the environment was so enjoyable. we did not have a reservation for saturday night, but sergio worked us into a table when we explained that we were visiting from out of town. i look forward to visitingvillaravenna again on a future visit to tulsa!

best italian in tulsa.... being born in brooklyn and raised on staten island you would think i have had some great italian food from my momma's kitchen to the finest restaurants in new york and the tri-state area. well. i have and i must say that tulsa'svillaravenna is right up there with the best of them.

for appetizers we had their fire roasted tomato bruscetta and a mozzarella, tomato and prosciutto plate drizzled with oil and balsamic vinegar, topped with fresh basil and olives. both appetizers could have been a lunch or light dinner option. it was fresh, satisfying and was a perfect beginning to a perfect meal. i saw a plate of fried calamari pass by us...next time that will be my choice. looked like there was plenty enough for two.

to me, having lived in a land-locked state for almost 18 years i gauge a restaurant on it's ability to handle seafood. sergio and his attentive staff performed admirably. i had the linguine and clams in a garlic and oil sauce. the clams were fresh. properly opened and i had made a special request to make it a little spicy with some crushed red pepper, just like the way mamma used to make it for me...wonderful!

the ravioli in bolognese sauce was nice, the meaty sauce being the tasty accompaniment to the plate of tender pillows of pasta and cheese.

we finished off with cannoli and a bread pudding and ice cream dessert. next time i will be back for the lemoncello cake.

price?
fuggetabout...it's only money and a lot cheaper than a flight to italy.
bravo! sergio, see you soon. cioa.
