wonderful! the steak with the shrimp and pasta on the side were so tender and fresh. had a wonderful valpolicella bottle too. recommend. we ended the night with a shot of espresso and tiramisu. blown away by the wonderful staff. we will return.

overpriced! decent at best food and the place seemed a little snooty for what it was. if you want italian food, go somewhere else. if you want seafood, go somewhere else.

very disappointed! i had the gnocchi and i am feeling sick as a dog. writing this review after throwing up my entire dinner. the food was very bland and way overpriced. tulsa has a plethora of italian restaurants. i would recommend ti amo ristorante or mary's trattoria. even olive garden tastes better than this restaurant and is more affordable. i will not be returning.

where to begin??

our server never told us about the history of the restaurant. (i was told this was something you did) the server in the section beside ours had different specials offered to his guests.
so we started with the recommendation of our server and ordered the bruschetta. it was just ok.

course 2: it was a cold night so we went with soup. the soup tasted like campbell's soup cream of mushroom. (i'm dead serious)

onto the entree.
chicken piccata for around $20 should be a full chicken breast. this was like they literally filet the chicken to get it to appear to be a full chicken breast but i can assure you it is not.

my friends pasta was ok but it tasted like any other spaghetti. definitely not homemade spaghetti pasta. i know first hand how hard spaghetti is to make and i can guarantee this is out of a package. i told my friend not to get spaghetti and meatballs but he insisted. let's just say apparently sams club makes a $15 plate of meatballs.

speaking of sam he and the owners wife also make a great chocolate cake.

i have no idea where people have been eating that claim thus is the best italian food in tulsa?!?!

olive garden has better quality from what i've tried.

correct me if i'm wrong on those meatballs and chocolate cake. i'll give this place a second review if you respond to my post. thank you & i hope you prove me wrong.

anniversary dinner with our 4-year old in tow. overall excellent. appetizer of figs stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon was very tasty. wife had fettuccine bolognese, i had carbonara with seafood, and daughter had fettuccine alfredo. the bolognese was the real deal, very meaty and clearly simmered for hours. carbonara was fantastic, creamy with loads of lobster, shrimp, and scallops. this place is now at the top of the list!

i love this place! sergio is nearly always on hand, so chat with him if you have a chance. i usually have one of their specials and haven't been disappointed yet. went for a friends birthday dinner a few months ago and the food and service were both impeccable.

let me start off by saying ravioli alla panna must translate to "pillowy clouds of amazing". probably one of the most delish things i've eaten to date. wow!!!!!!! the meat and cheese and white sauce just went together perfectly and the pasta was melt in your mouth.  what drops the rating to 4 stars was just about everything else except the lemoncello martinis. again 5+ stars on those. now for the not so "5 star" parts. our server was great but as a former server i could tell he was oversat (in the weeds). (not his fault and i did not under tip him because of it). maybe someone called in, but they didn't seem to have a bartender. if this is normal for them they need to rethink this practice. it's busy enough to warrant a full time bartender. next, appetizers. bruschetta was good, rich and flavorful but the tomatoes seemed as though they were somewhat cooked/stewed which i was not a fan of. i wasn't disappointed but wouldn't order again. fried zucchini was yum!!! had to be, because i liked it and i hate zucchini :) this i would order again. we also ordered the gorgonzola pear app only to be told 10 minutes later they were out. eh, it happens. it's hard to gauge how many people will come on a tuesday night. another app at the table was the escargot. i don't eat it but the reviews, again, were mixed. good flavor, texture was a bit chewy. another got the onion soup and loved it, i got the caesar salad and was a tad disappointed. it was chop lettuce (lots of white stems) and the dressing was just ok (adding real parmesan to it would have helped tremendously, it seems my parm was the powder variety and that doesn't work for me on a caesar) again, wasn't disappointed but wouldn't order again. i tasted the veal piccata and the meat was super tender and flavorful and not overly lemony (which we were warned it might be, so they were told - don't know who told them that but those people were wrong, i thought it was a great balance of lemon flavor).  we got a piece of the lemoncello cake for dessert - it was wonderful, although i wish they wouldn't pour the lemoncello directly on the cake, it was too much and the parts that didnt get drowned in it were better than the ones that did (those were soggy mush).  all in all its a great place, atmosphere and environment were lovely. i will go here again and again and it does live up to its reputation (i'm just overly critical in my reviews). also, another thing i liked is that you can get an amazing meal for $20 (without cocktails) if you order something basic - which seems to me what they are best at anyways. like most places you just need to focus on the things they do that are amazing and that ravioli was one of them. everyone at the table said it was by far the best dish of the night.

hands down the best italian food in tulsa. sauces and pasta are hand made. very extensive menu. if you don't see it on the menu and you can dream up what you want, chances are they will make it for you. make sure you do the quarterly wine tasting and 10 course meal.

yanni's special. you have to dig through the clams, scallops and calamari to find the pasta.

something missing. i've gone here before and had a great time, food was great, wonderful wine and food recommendations, entertaining servers, friendly, and knowledgeable.

i recently dined and the food and wine suggested was awful.

for appetizers:
i like prince edward island mussel's. the server didn't know what i was even talking about and served me the mussels that we're definitely not pei mussels. tasted frozen and bland at best, a quarter of mussels didn't even open, the bruschetta is also a waste of money.

salad portion:
caesar salad and chupin soup are also bland, lacklustre of flavour.

for entree's:
the meatballs tasted out of a box, but the gnocchi 3 sauce with eggplant parmesan was the best item so far, until my brother received his entree which was the spaghetti carbonara.

wines:
asked server for a buttery chardonnay.
white wines tasted insipid, and it was oxidized. colour of wine was too dark and murky.

server:
seemed overwhelmed, scattered, and inexperienced.

dessert:
at this point of the meal we decided to go to the gelato building in the parking lot for dessert.

always a pleasant experience. comfortable setting, nice ambiance, good waitstaff, plenty of elbow room with the new addition. food presentation was above average, all good - no real complaints other than there seems to be something missing from the boar.

we'll go back.

-----06 nov, 2010-----

expensive. add $10 to the outdated $25 entree price. dinner for three was $200. well, okay, the bottle of wine was $50. it was my wife's birthday.

the boar was good, not outstanding, not as flavorful as hoped. my wife's steak was excellent, as was my son's chicken parmigiana. the presentations were adequate, not as eye-catching as one would expect for the price.

the waiter was attentive and knew the product line. seating was comfortable and not crowded. good selection of wines. the host/owner watches the proceedings and steps in where needed to help customers with their coats and chairs.

and, as far as i know, this is the only italian restaurant in town where the owners speak with an italian accent. adds to the ambiance and authenticity.

live piano music played in the background. sure, it was a synthesizer, but it fit in well.

the menu items were many and interesting; the wife and i agreed this is one of the few restaurants that requires a return trip.

best service ever!!!!. i dint visit tulsa often but, when i do i like to eat at ur restaurant. but never have i had the service that i had last week!! let me start with the server. her name is alisha. she was amazing! not only was she friendly, attentiv, and knowledgeable, she really took the time to go out of her way to help my elderly mother. wanted to thank her personally but, she was being just as wonderful to her other tables. wish there were more servers like that lady! i will be making more frequent trips to tulsa just to eat at ur restaurant. the food was great but the service was better! thanks alisha!!
