excellent!. i absolutely love villa ravenna! my husband and i have eaten here many times and every meal is exquisite. several times i have asked for items not on the regular menu and always my requests are met with "no problem". the pears with gorgonzola appetizer is delicious. and my favorite item on the menu is the potato gnocci. it is light and delicate, as it should be.

my one and only complaint, which is not the fault of the restaurant, but of other diners who bring young children here for dinner. it kind of spoils the romantic atmosphere hearing a baby scream, or watching pre-teen boys texting and playing video games.

other than that, it is perfect for a wonderful, authentic italian meal.

god awful!!. i am so sorry to say this was by far the worst meal i have ever had, bar none. i am 100% italian from chicago and a personal chef and this was the most disgusting meal. the amount of garlic in my dish after moving it to the side took up 1/4 of my plate!!! and i love garlic! the sauce was drab and had no flavor, the shrimp was rubbery. the bruschetta was drenched in balsamic vinegar and the bread was soggy. the chicken was less than impressive. the only redeeming quality about this place was the service. they were very tentative and friendly.

not impressed. i will start by confessing that i have not been to italy and i do not profess to be an expert on "authentic" italian food. but i have eaten my fair share of italian in little italy in nyc and in chicago. the atmosphere was noisy, but nice. the waiter was nice, but the service felt incomplete for a "fine dining" locale. we had no bread until we were half done with our entrees. our waiter did not ask us if we were satisfied with our meals, nor did he offer a dessert. the owner stopped by and was friendly.

i had the lasagna bolognese. it lacked flavor and was overwhelmed by tomatoes, but was reasonably priced.

if you can't do a great lasagna, then you are off my list as an italian restaurant.

best meal ever. my friends and i often joke about what our 'death row meal' would be, what would we want to eat if we knew it would be our last meal? my choice used to mama's fish house in maui. after dining at villa ravenna yesterday, i've changed my mind. we were in town for another reason so i searched for the best italian restaurant in tulsa. we decided on vr. it was my birthday so we wanted something nice.
the service was incredible and the food even better. we chose the gorgonzola grilled pear to start. wow! it literally melted in my mouth, such a unique and wonderful dish! for my entree, i chose the gnocchi with three sauces (pesto, alfredo, marinara) and a side of grilled shrimp. first the gnocchi, so light and fluffy and the 2 sauces were great by themselves or mixed together. this shrimp was unlike anything i have ever seen, it was a single 1/2 pound huge shrimp which i cut like a steak. just incredible.
i can't say enough about this place, just try it. you'll like it! such nice people too, i forgot my credit card when we left and the owner called to tell me and even brought it out to my car when i came to pick it up. we will drive to tulsa just to eat at villa ravenna!

fantastic!. villa ravenna is the real deal. home made pasta, unique perfectly prepared offerings plus the usual choices you would expect (but better than you've had anywhere else), and amazing service. we were blown away. completely impressed. sergio is a perfectly charming host. our server nathan was knowlegeable and freindly. you will want to come back. they have menu choices for a simple meal or or you can go all out with a dining experience. the menu prices and choices have something for everyone. we had dinner there for the very first time last satuday. the exeperience was so good i'm writing this review today. i recommend making a reservation. we did - we were seated with no waiting. the nice thing too is that you don't feel rushed. have a seat, relax, and enjoy!

fantastic italian dining. one of tulsa's finest family owned itialian restaurants. sergio orioli is the owner and ultimate host for this home namesake restaurant. ravenna is his family home on the east coast of the adriatic sea in northern italy. sergio's wife and co-owner, yani, creates some of the most delectable appetizers, entrees, and mouth watering desserts that you could ever enjoy. all of the menu items leaving you with the desire to schedule your next visit to try another dish. the service is outstanding with nathan as the lead dining room server.

if you are a wine enthusiast, the pairing event that is put on 4-6 times during the year is a special treat. learning about the different wines and how they are selected with the multi course menu, makes for a great palate pleasing adventure. be sure to come hungry with this event with up to 8-10 samplings of wine and food courses!

villa ravenna. i travel from little italy in st. louis, live in kansas city and visit okc as well so i eat alot of italian dishes. i've visited many italian restaurants and of the 4 cities, villa ravenna knocked it out of the park. service impeccable as well as a visit from the owner. i'm so reserved ordering a dish with red sauce at an italian restaurant so i learned to begin with spaghetti and meatballs. my mistake because after eating theer i wished i could try more or they had a "trio" dish. the red sauce is amazing as well as the pasta and meatballs. fresh, ripe, slightly acicic and the perfect consistency. i'm so tired of the "pizza sauce" style of red sauce and this place delivered. i'm hard pressed to try another in tulsa...the pasta was fresh and ferm and the meatballs flavorful and delicate. this is a must for tulsa. you won't be dissappointed. 5 stars!

great experience. my wife and i ate at villa last night for the first time by ourselves (we first came here about 3 weeks ago with some friends for their 4th anniversary wine dinner) and everything was perfect. the wine list had plenty of options to choose from. our service was top notch. i had the veal parmesan and my wife had the chicken parmesan. both were cooked perfect as i haven't had that good of a veal since las vegas or chicago. for desert i had a shot of their in house limoncello and my wife had the tiera massue which she absolutely loved. i can't believe it took us this long to find this place but we will def. make this place a repeat destination.

authentic italian food. my husband and i ate here when in town for a concert. i am a fairly good cook and won't eat italian dishes that i make at home because i am usually disappointed when i have them at a restaurant. not the case here! the food here is simply divine. the staff are friendly and go out of their way to explain a dish to you. the prices are reasonable. this will definitely be a repeat when we're in tulsa again. on our way out, the owner chatted with us and told us about an upcoming event that was an evening of wine and food. he was so friendly and warm. unfortunately, the event was on a monday night and there was no way we could attend. be sure to check out this little hidden gem of a restaurant. you'll be glad you did!

excellent. first time to villa ravenna. what a mistake to wait so long to go!
we enjoyed the atmosphere and attentive service from jesse. we are impressed with the extensive wine list. our entrees were the wild boar and bistecca alla marsalla - both absolutely delicious. we will be back soon.
