i actually really like the food here. but unfortunately not the waiters. i came in with a bunch of friends and we were greeted and sat down. we ordered our food and everything was okay until we asked for some takeout boxes. i don’t think the waiters can tell but i am vietnamese. i knew every word they were saying about our table. one of my filipino friends asked for a takeout box and i heard one of the waiters, a older vietnamese lady, she was complaining to her other co workers and saying why can’t she finish her food, she is fat and the dish is small compared to her. she said this in vietnamese and she probably assumed that we wouldn’t know what she was saying. she obviously thought wrongly. this is honestly disgusting service and is so rude. i would have been happier if she spoke spoke english to us and told that to our face instead of speaking vietnamese and complaining behind our backs. thisplaceneeds to teach their workers to speak english because not speaking in the same language as a customer is rude. customers may not know what the workers are talking about. i am vietnamese and after hearing her talk to her co workers about my friends and our table like that is so disgusting. so rude. btw every waiter is not like this. this was just the one waiter who was a bit older and wearing glasses. kinda vague but you probably get the point. don’t speak in vietnamese to trash talk about customers. hopefully you actually read this and take the time to change something.

favoriteplaceto eat w hen dining in regina! vermicelli bowls, yellow curry and the spring rolls are all must-try menu items! centrally located, consistently delicious, and great service every time.

ordered a few weeks ago, got fresh rolls. absolutely horrible! they were lettuce and meat. nothing authentic about these. not sure if i'll go back. seems like they are cheating out! thisplaceuse to be the best. far from that now.

average. not the best, not the greatest, an okayplaceto hit up if you're out of choices. the foods okay, service is meh, but its all good.

great friendly staff, very reliable food...absolutely have never been disappointed in my meal. i know what i am going to get and i am going to get a delicious well-cooked thai/vietnamese meal that will be served piping hot with quick service from some very nice people. some people have commented to me that their meal timing can be a bit funny (ie appetizers come at the same time as the meal) but don't sweat the small stuff. if you go there, you will have a great time with friends in aplacethat makes you feel relaxed and comfortable and you will leave with your cheeks rosy from being treated so well.

very good. 5 of us went for lunch friday at noon.placewas packed. but their was no wait for our table. service was very fast. never had empty glasses on table as server was always filling them with water. food was delicious abd great prices. will definitely being going back.

regina's best asian restaraunt - amazing!!. this is by far regina's best asian restaurant!
the food: full of flavour, always piping hot, and an amazing variety.
the cost: portion sizes are massive (always take home the left overs and have a full meal for later). the prices are far cheaper than any other restaurant in town.
the vietnamese spring rolls are soo good. the vermicelli's are fantastic. you can tell that the restaurant is amazing solely by looking at how full it is at all times. the food comes really fast. the lime in the water is a nice touch. would highly recommend thisplaceif you haven't been before. two thumbs up!

really bad. i don't understand how anyone likes this restaurant. the service is meh, and the food is mediocre at best. anyone who thinks this is good vietnamese cuisine, has not eaten any type of vietnamese food other than this. to people who think this restaurant is good, i beg you: travel to any city other than regina, and eat their vietnamese food. then you will truly realize the awfulness of viet thai. because good vietnamese is so so, so much better than what thisplaceserves.

bestplacefor lunch. i've gone for lunch at viet thai hundreds of times over the years. it is always excellent and the prices are cheap. i would however recommend avoiding the pork (roll) vermicelli (the #1). it is still really good but the pork sometimes has fatty parts/strings (which some people like but i detest picking out). just go with the shredded pork, chicken, beef or extra spring rolls instead. another option is the won ton soup, best i've had in regina. please note that everyone here is vietnamese, their language skills are limited and aren't particularly good at entertaining. nothing bad but don't go here for the personal experience, the staff is not engaging at all.

good food. i have visited thisplacenumber of times with my office colleagues. if you are looking for good thai food, viet thai is a good place. if you are in a hurry, always order from their lunch special as it is served very quickly. but if you have time, try the items of their menu..
my favorite is pad thai with shrimps. their servings are pretty generous as well.
will definitely visit them again.

really?. food is good, but not great like it was 3-4 years ago. i see the old owners of viet thai occupying saigon by night now, and thatplaceis awesome. everything i use to like at viet thai is now at this restaurant. better food, better service, and an owner with a good personality. if you want better than average, go to viet thai, if you want great, go to saigon by night!

fast & tasty. viet thai is always a sure bet for a fast and delicious lunch. i love the rice vermicelli bowls.. #2; and they let you substitute a fried greasy egg roll on top for a fresh roll! that just won my heart over.

not theplacefor a romantic date or anything, as the atmosphere is pretty awful... lol... but the food is great for a quick dinner or lunch... especially when you haveto get back to the office.

a favourite for 12+ years!!!. the food is always fresh and full of flavour. generous portions, so bring your appetite. they also serve vegetarian dishes.

my favourite is the shrimp and pork fresh rolls--i swear i could live on those! my family and i have been coming here for years. i discovered thisplacewhen my daughter and i were into dancing with ramed in the late 90's. it was the group hang out after the show at the globe every spring--awesome memories!

i go back every chance i get. no otherplacemakes fresh rolls as good as viet thai! their other dishes are good too, of course!
