verducci pizzeria & trattoria

magnifico. i heard about the newrestaurantfrom a friend and decided to ride down to the beach to try it out. from the street i was worried about parking being an issue, but there is plenty of parking behind the building. once entering, i loved the cozy feeling i immediately received when i was greeted by the host. the kitchen has an open feel and you can see the pizzas being spun in the air and made to order. the food is honestly the best italian cuisine i have ever had. for the price you pay, not only is the meal to die for, but you sure do get plenty of it. there is not one bad thing i could say about this place, except for i wish there were more locations. i will definitely be returning and recommending this place to all of my friends!

parking issue. the food and the service were good. however, if it rains while you are dining, or if it rained before you arrived, your shoes get covered with wet sand and dirt which tracks into therestaurantor gets your car carpets filthy. please pave the parking lot. we will be back when that job is complete.

warning do not eat here!!!. my bf, me, and two friends were up all night w food poisoning! what a horrible experience. idk if i've ever felt worse! i've personally never had food poisoning and i don't wish it on anyone. and to top it off the food was cold the first time it came to the table and the service was absolutely terrible! we contemplated walking out and really wish we would have now. we were not offered any type of discount either. worst experience at arestaurantever!

excellent meal as always!. we went to verducci's on wednesday night and it was crowded. there was a line at the door, but we got a table fairly soon, maybe just 5 min. our server dedrick was excellent and the food was fabulous. we had an ossobucco on special and also chicken marsala with prochuto and mushrooms. all the food came steaming hot on the table and the taste was unbelievable! the portions were large - enough to take home left overs. the salad was included in the entree and the salad dressing was so good, that i we waned to take some home. there was also happy hour till 7pm with great wine 50% off the price. freshly baked bread was a nice surprise and real cold pressed olive oil and black olive paste dip was wonderful.
verducci is an amazing restaurant, there is nothing like this in the whole pinellas county - a very unique and high quality italian gourmet place for the price of a casual dining. really - can't find a better place if you love italian food!
this is our favorite on the beach!

the best italianrestaurantin pinellas county!. we visited verducci trattoria on friday night and it was packed, but the host found us a nice table for two. we ordered osso bucco which was on specials and italian meat balls. the food was fantastic! we travel to italy every year and also make italian food at home - verducci is the place to enjoy home made, authentic italian food. all was made from scratch, fresh, perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. the osso bucco was made with white wine, stewed for 6 hours in the oven with tomatoes, vegetables and italian spices. the flavor was superb. the saffron risotto is a perfect and classic accompaniment for osso bucco. it was creamy and very tasty, made with white wine, butter and parmesan cheese. the meat balls were very-very delicious. we could taste real tomatoes in the marinara sauce and the pasta was cooked to perfection - al-dente. we were lucky to have an italian waitress, she was just awesome, we could feel the passion of her family preparing the food and making the bread in the kitchen! while waiting for our food we were served freshly baked bread buns - real bread made with yeast and olive oil, hot out of the oven. the dipping mix was made in house with black olives, italian spices and balsamic vinegar, all best quality. the food was served steaming hot and smelled just delicious. the portions were big enough to take some home. there was plenty of parking behind therestaurantin a guarded parking lot. the guard also showed us the building next door, it was under construction - a gourmet italian market will be opened soon!
i am so happy we found this gem. we are very picky and this was the first time we said - this is perfect :-)

awesome food. my wife and i ate here tonight and it was some of the best food we have had at arestaurantsince i can remember. when our some comes back from tampa in a couple days we are going back.

two times a charm. went to thisrestaurant2 years ago and loved the food! returned this year with friends and loved it even more.all food is of high quality and authentic! go early for early bird specials. pizza is great . thin crust for new yorkers!

yuck! when you walk into an italianrestaurant- and you don't smell garlic...run! very bland -

run away..... oh pleez! we called ahead and were told,no reservation needed -come right in... so we did ,only to find a line out the wazoo,and added our names to a list.upon asking the owner how long the wait would be approximately,we were told - just a few minutes. the hostess proceeded to seat at least 15 people ahead of us ,who came in after us-because we were a party of 2! upon asking her why-we were told- that bigger parties have priority!- so after waiting 30mins. -we were about to be seated,and she turns to us and says -its going to be at least- another 30 minutes! -bye bye! so sorry we wasted -an hour of our lives..... and the food around us looked kinda dry and sad anyway....we will never go back.

decent food, horrible service. while visiting the area, we decided to give this place a try after reading all the reviews. we opted for a pizza, as we would have no where to store leftovers if need be. the pizza was good, nothing spectacular and could have used more than the half cup of cheese on it. what really got us was the service. everyone raved about the bread and dip, but our waiter brought it to every table around us, while excluding us. we even mentioned it to him and we were brought two dry rolls by the gentleman cooking the pizzas--and none of the dip. the service was so poor, i would not recommend going. there are too many other restaurants around here to waste your time and money at arestaurantthat couldn't care less.

awesome. the managers went out of their way to email us a menu...we later went to therestaurantand had the best pizza during our trip. fun affordable place to dine.

i now know why some reviews are peppered with management or owner complaints. we read some of the good reviews here about verducci, and decided to try it yesterday for lunch. the door was open, we walked in, and a guy behind the counter said: "we open at 4". we walked out, and again looked at the lunch menu hours posted to the right of the door that said that they were supposed to be open for lunch that very day. the person behind the counter made no explanation, apology, nothing. so, we left, went somewhere down the road and spent way more than we would have there, as we have no budget, and there are plenty of options in st. petersburg as far as good restaurants with full bars that serve lunch. we will not return to verducci. i spent a bit of time in my long career working in the food business training managers for a largerestaurantchain. one of the biggest problems i taught them about was customer service, and/or their lack of it if it existed. lots of restaurants that get good reviews don't understand why their business drops. in my experience, most every time, it's because of dysfunctional people skills in how to treat customers. this restaurant, from what i hear, has italians who came here from italy not too long ago. having been raised in an italian family, myself, i've repeatedly seen old world italians either not know how to deal with people skills regarding their customers, or on the other hand, get a few good reviews and over think their reputation to the point of being arrogant until they drive their customers away, as no one is that good, and then you see a sign outside one day that says; "under new management". ! thisrestaurantneeds a 101 lesson in how to communicate with people who take time to choose to drive there to spend money, when they don't realize how many other choices there are out there, and how people come and go in therestaurantbusiness in "dime a dozen" fashion. they need an attitude adjustment, as well as a manager who knows how to treat and appreciate customers, or potential customers.

terrible! waitress who was not friendly and waited 25 minutes for a pizza that took another 30 minutes prior for a beverage and salad. when i spoke to the owner he said that he said that waiting 25 minutes for a pizza was normal. i live around the corner from therestaurantand explained this to the owner and he turned his back to me. no more verducci for me! plenty of other italian restaurants in st pete that would appreciate my business.

including pizzeria in the name is misleading. the cuisine is fantastic, presentation and staff were wonderful!! yes, they make great pizza and do an active takeout business but therestaurantis wonderful thank you to all.....

the best in st. pete. verducci's has hands down the best pizza and pasta that you can get at a restaurant. the pizza will leave you wanting to take a trip to st. pete just for it.the gnocchi's are to die for, and i love the pizza so much even if i have pasta i get a pie to go. therestaurantis quaint,clean and very affordable, the aroma's themselves will make your senses come alive and when you take that first bite you know that this is it...you are hooked. do yourself a favor and try thisrestaurantyou will not be disappointed.
