hidden in a small alley facing the galata tower, this tiny place has it all. colorful and simple from the outside yet vintage and sophisticated on the inside: porcelain tea cups are everywhere, decorating a whole wall and even the beautiful chandeliers. the wooden interior garnished by flowers, books and all sorts of gadgets give this place a special touch and cozy vibe.
the service was as on point and the waiter assisting us was super friendly, helpful and always attentive.
we tried out their famous breakfast plate: all colorful and really well presented.
olives, cheese, jam, zaatar, their own spicy sauce (which is delicious btw) come in cute small pots with boiled eggs, cheese rolls, fruits and traditional turkish tea on the side. warm freshly baked bread and kaak are also served and refilled upon request. we then had omelettes which were cooked to perfection with melting cheese inside. make sure to try them out!
and for the final act, cookies andcafelatte!
everything was homemade and just perfect!
thumbs up velvet cafe, you definitely nailed it! highly recommended!
