veeraswamy is said to be the first ever indian restaurant in the uk. it is a greatplacefor fine dining. food was delicious and well presented. they have a business lunch menu which is a great option with many choices. dessert was a bit of a letdown. definitely worth trying if you haven't been here!

a historic and poshplaceand a worthy recipient of a michelin star. i liked the place.

make it a point reserve in advance. i ordered the indian thali. they did not have the amrut fusion in stock which was a shame, because it would have gone perfectly with the food. recommended.

the crab cutlets here are to die for! the mutton biriyani was good, angara chicken tikka was delicious and so was the kerala(or was it travancore?🤔)prawn curry. the service is fast, friendly and efficient. my only grouse was that they had a minimum order value per person and that was around 30-40 pounds, which i find irritating and not necessary at all! otherwise,a greatplaceto go to when you are craving for fish curry, biriyani and of course, crab cutlets!! definitely the best indian food in london!

two days in a row and visited another fabulous indian restaurant in london.

loved the entrance to theplacewith the old history it has.

very different to amaya in which thisplacewas very south indian ( which is one of my favorite cuisine ) for the emaratis like me this might not be to there palate although they do have options from north india.

i went for the aloopuri to start with it was excellent followed by a grilled prawns which was again great.

mains went for three curries prawn coconut curry, lobster mango curry , and last but not least a chicken makhani.

all the three curries were fantastic without any complains.

as well we tried the biryani which was ordinary.

ambience 4/5

food 4.5/5

service 4/5?

wow. the oldest indain restaurant in london . love theplaceand the food. my favourite item is the 'malwani chicken'. it's a sindhi dish, not too spicy and very flavorful. a great deal of thought goes into any dish and i can tell you every item that i've had there has always hit the spot. oh, and try the chicken bajia, crispy and unique.

thisplacehas an amazing collection of portraits and photographs. the decor is regal.

about the food: its indian so its obviously delicious. if you're going for the first time, don't experiment. stick to what you know is going to be great. cause a lot of the food tastes different than what one would get in india.

would definitely eat here again though. one of the best in london.

being one of the oldest indian restaurants in london, is what got me interested in trying out thisplaceas i love anything which has a sense of history behind it.
the ambience is gorgeous and i love the rose petals kept on the table!
this fancy restaurant can accommodate quite a lot of people however, making a reservation is recommended.
the food was excellent and so was the service. this particular dish that i ordered, called chicken chatpatta was extremely spicy and this is coming from a person who can eat a lot of spicy food. so, try it only if you're ardent about spicy food like myself. the rest of the dishes cater to everyone's palette.
i highly recommend this place, it is officially my new favourite!!

if you are in indian you must visit thisplacejust to step into the history. please keep in mind that the food is adjusted to the english taste buds but it still won't disappoint you at all.

i visited this restaurant with my family. it was a really goodplacefor the vegetarian specifically. being a vegetarian, one often find 2 or 3 items on any menu, but to have such an extensive menu full of vegetarian & vegan varieties was quite a treat. i had a hard time choosing. and the food when it arrived, it was sizzling. the taste was good. i really loved thisplaceand wish to go back soon.
