vacanza pizzeria

cute little pizzeria. promptservicefrom waitstaff too. we didn’t have to wait as it was a sunday night and getting close to 8pm so it was a good time to go.

there isn’t a lot to choose from in terms of pizzas but they seem very traditional with the “less is more” mantra. very tasty pizzas, with both us ordering the il capitano and the capricciosa. we also ordered the sicilian green olives from the antipasti section of the menu. they were amazing.

standard pricing too compared to other pizzerias.

overall, a lovely spot to eat and have a wine and pizza for a quiet sunday night! i loved the casual vibe too . would go again.

easily the best pizza in sydney, and our favourite for more reasons than one. interesting story - we discovered on our first date that we both love pizza, and ended up at vacanza for dinner! obviously vacanza holds a special place in our hearts. 

our recommendations here are for you if you have a big appetite - we almost over-binge every single time we go to vacanza. 
start your meal with your favourite glass of red, and a portion of mortadella and pasta fritta. there's nothing like dough with delicious meat, and there is no other way to describe it! 

your second course could then very well include more bread, and we'd definitely pitch for the diavola over everything else. if you haven't figured from our other reviews already, we love spice, so goes without saying that diavola (with chilli oil no less) is our go-to. 

last and our favourite part - no visit to a pizzeria is complete without a tiramisu, so be nice to your tummy and share one with your loved one. just like we do every single time.

truffle pizza was amazing and appreciated the thin crust bases that we’re truly italian.servicewas friendly unobtrusive. flavours were simple and not overdone, perfect.

the pizzas were really great and the tableservicewas friendly, also it's byo. however, i made a booking for 8pm on friday night and was only given a table at 8:20pm. just would've been nice to have a table waiting, but i feel like even if you make a booking you still have to wait. inside is very noisy and dark, so if you want to have a proper conversation consider trying to sit outside, but maybe because it was a busy friday evening..

the perfect casual place to meet a friend for a bite, go on a date or have a large group.

i have been here a couple of times and have loved it each time. the pizzas are traditional floppy thin bases with minimal, but bang on ingredients. so delicious. i’ve had just about every pizza. my favourite is probably the one with mushroom and ham.serviceis also lovely.

cute little corner restaurant in surry hills. surprisingly i’ve passed this place a million times but i never thought to ever visit it! glad i did because the pizzas were amazing. went for the margherita pizza and a saraceno. the chilli oil could be more chilli, but that aside the pizzas were nice and thin and full of topping. love the pizzas here, they're light and packed with flavour without being overly greasy! pizzas came out quickly andservicewas attentive. place is quite small so you’ll either have to make a reservation or come early to avoid disappointment.

soo yummy and authentic. amazing selections of pizza even my fussy eater was impressed. greatservice👍.. seats are a little cramped however its inspected for its popularity.

the best pizza in sydney. not to mention the bestserviceand the best location. we have been fans of this place for over 4 years now and it has never failed our expectations. the food is always fresh and takes you to another place. perhaps, to italy! the friendly staff with sexy italian accent make you feel welcome and warm.
alex always greets his customers with a smile and makes sure you enjoyed your food, no matter whether you just had a dinner or friday's lunch.
and last but not least, you must try tiramisu! it is to die for!
my family and friends we have tried many pizza places in sydney but trust me vacanza is officially the best!!!

unforgettable woodfire pizza & nutella calzone!

ordered a mushroom arancini. it wasnt that great. tasted pretty dry. we had the margarita pizza which was soo good! the base was very flavoursome and the cheese was nice too.

fastservicefor an esrly friday night as well. after that we ordered the nutella and ricotta pizza and wow. they were pretty generous with this. 4 good serves. it was sweet but not too sweet.. so yummy!

fair priced $50. i really didnt enjoy the arancini but everything else compensated. unfortgettable pizza and calzone.

this place is awesome. we went with a big group on a friday night and had the set menu $45/pp.

amazing food,serviceand vibe. the place itself is simple, nice,  small and kind of loud, which is nice as you can have a few spritzer's and talk a little louder. the pizza was amazing, some of the best i've had (pizza mario having been my favourite for a while).

highly recommend it and i can't wait to be back. especially since sydney has so many useless/tasteless/expensive restaurants. this place in comparison is awesome !

beautiful authentic italian cuisine -serviceon the whole very cheerful and inviting but was let down by one waitress who would not stop accentuating the fact it was her 'first day' - hospitality makes room for no excuses!

always great.. even if the oven is not a wood fired, vacanza offer the best pizza in surry hills. fresh ingredients &servicealways welcoming.

we arrived at 8pm and place full. always a good sign. but we had booked so we were seated outside and they kept us updated until a table freed up at 8.30.

first time here.servicevery friendly. unlike most sydney places. felt like family. three pizzas arrived surprisingly swiftly and they were great. dessert was a tiramisu and that was serviceable.

would go again

best pizza i've ever had. cosy, dark great atmosphere. absolutely amazing pizza so flavourful! my friends and i have had a lot of pizzas in our time but this place tops it. i wish it was our local!! will definitely be making an effort to come back. greatservicetoo.
