greatpizzason excellent thin chewy bases. although vacanza says "less is more" and i could have handled more toppings, there were still more than average toppings for this kind of pizza and the topping quality and flavour was incredible. the prices are similar to the elite pizza places based in the cheaper suburbs so must be a bargain for surry hills or bronte, except that thepizzas- but nothing else on the menu - bizarrely use x.90 pricing with the .90 in tiny letters on the menu. the lasagne was boring, light on meat and flavour, so stick to the pizzas.

one of the bestpizzasi can remember eating. tasted delicious with a base that had the perfect amount of crunch. chose the “da franco” with burrata & triple smoked ham and would highly recommend - burrata is amazing! restaurant is byo which is also a plus.

cute little pizzeria. prompt service from waitstaff too. we didn’t have to wait as it was a sunday night and getting close to 8pm so it was a good time to go.

there isn’t a lot to choose from in terms ofpizzasbut they seem very traditional with the “less is more” mantra. very tasty pizzas, with both us ordering the il capitano and the capricciosa. we also ordered the sicilian green olives from the antipasti section of the menu. they were amazing.

standard pricing too compared to other pizzerias.

overall, a lovely spot to eat and have a wine and pizza for a quiet sunday night! i loved the casual vibe too . would go again.

wonderful place! thepizzasare delicious, wine is quality, atmosphere is lively and the service is excellent (especially the legendary mattia!).
highly recommended, worth while to reserve a table un advance.

been here twice and the pizza's here are definitely worth trying.pizzasare packed with flavour and just a party for the tastebuds. however, the only let down is that despite booking for the 2nd time, we were made to wait 30-40minutes and in the end placed to sit outside in the cold (had elderlies with us, external heaters were broken). staff didn't really seem apologetic and mindful. would have thought that booking would have meant a warm seat inside in a timely matter. would still come back but definitely hope vacanza learns to improve on booking management.

thepizzaswere really great and the table service was friendly, also it's byo. however, i made a booking for 8pm on friday night and was only given a table at 8:20pm. just would've been nice to have a table waiting, but i feel like even if you make a booking you still have to wait. inside is very noisy and dark, so if you want to have a proper conversation consider trying to sit outside, but maybe because it was a busy friday evening..

amazing!
one of the few places in sydney i believe to have the authentic italian pizzeria experience. as soon as you enter you are warmly greeted by the charming italian server and seated. then you turn to observe the chef passionately preparing the dough. you then observe the restaurant; so vibrant. on your table is the usual spices plus olive oil to pour at will! how awesome. thepizzasare delicious and come at a reasonable time. also reasonably priced

the perfect casual place to meet a friend for a bite, go on a date or have a large group.

i have been here a couple of times and have loved it each time. thepizzasare traditional floppy thin bases with minimal, but bang on ingredients. so delicious. i’ve had just about every pizza. my favourite is probably the one with mushroom and ham. service is also lovely.

vacanza is an exuberant pizzeria at the corner of bourke and fitzroy street. the casual and unassuming pizza bar features a mozzarella bar and an outdoor area for people-watching. the interior is fitted with brick walls decorated with stencils and pictures of bare-breasted women.

i ordered a vacanza pizza, which came with san marzano tomatoes, olives and mozzarella. the pizza has a thicker crust which makes it more tedious and longer chewing. while thepizzasare distinctly more flavourful and richer in tastes, the crust was flimsy and unable to support the ingredients. hence, the cheese and tomatoes simply fell off the crust and it was a messy affair.

cute little corner restaurant in surry hills. surprisingly i’ve passed this place a million times but i never thought to ever visit it! glad i did because thepizzaswere amazing. went for the margherita pizza and a saraceno. the chilli oil could be more chilli, but that aside thepizzaswere nice and thin and full of topping. love thepizzashere, they're light and packed with flavour without being overly greasy!pizzascame out quickly and service was attentive. place is quite small so you’ll either have to make a reservation or come early to avoid disappointment.

without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best pizza in sydney. there are other good pizza places but thepizzasat vacanza are flawless.

the bruschetta is also amazing, best i’ve ever had. i can’t get back soon enough. i would move to surry hills just so i could eat here more often.

best italian pizza in sydney (specifying italian bc manoosh does the best labanese pizzas, gotta respect and recognize lanes lol) ordered twopizzasand sardines.. everything was on point except the place was mad busy and we sat on this slope in front of the door... i was scared the wine and water were gonna fall. the huge german shepherd behind us made up for it. actually we didn't make a booking and they gave us discounted drink tickets at the bar down the street because of the long wait. bumping their rating to a 5

love it. one of the best places in sydney for pizzas. i've tried a number of theirpizzasand they're all good. simple ingredients, small amount of topping-but tastes authentic and delicious. good base too.
they don't do much more thanpizzasbut do have byo. can't go wrong.
service can be improved, but it's not enough to ruin your night.
