urban mantra restro lounge

i give a few extra brownie points to this place because of its location. the place has parking space (i mean that you can park your car on either side of the road). the place proudly stands tall because of its ambience and youthfulness. the live jamming sessions and the music bands are a major hit. youngsters often are seen here who have stopped by to grab a drink or two and unwind the day with some good music and food to relish.

the place is nicely decorated with humorous wall decors/photo frames is an added attraction. this place is absolutely bustling with crowd from the city and hence it is the right place to meet new people and understand the city vibes.

nice place...food is average...service is good...less crowded...cost is as expected...and the funny thing i found are some of the wall posters,they have taken their fan following for jimi hendrix to a different level,just notice it when u visit,i had a good laugh!!

the only place i like to grab a drink in guwahati. the location is quite isolated and thus provide adequate parking and the restaurant actually has multiple seating options. the loud and dark lounge area or the bright and quite restaurant up top. they even have a terrace that can be used up for private bookings. nevertheless the menu is vast and indian food is something that's better than the rest. food is on the expensive side but drinks are reasonable. the staff is very friendly and the service is fine if not very fast. it has a good crowd and the occasional gigs are a big bonus for the music lovers. don't forget to look around for the decor and the witty posters on the walls. 

only thing that bothered me a couple of times was a certain group of people (probably the owners friends) who would storm all over the place. take over the mic and start a private jamming session of their own. in a way its good to have loud music but than you start feeling like you ended up in someone's house party that you were not invited to!

live music: good food: pleasant ambience: nice staff: above all best parking place.. the entire roadside of g.s. road. if u want to spend a beautiful evening listening to some live music then this is a good place. quality of food is good and they have many variety in food and drinks. cost is reasonable! had a good time with my girlfriend... shall visit again!

had heard about this newly opened place and thought on visiting it. we were there on a weekday evening and the lower area was full. they have a dancing floor and some tables. they also have a sitting area on top which is much better than the below seating. its much more calm and spacious with proper lighting.
this place does not attract very good crowd but one can chill on the upper floor seating. the view to the road from the above floor is good. they serve good starters. its quite fresh and hygienic. we had ordered for crispy potato, that was quite good and spicy. and also did we order for corn salt n pepper, which was again very good. the non veg was also good here.
the service is fast and the staff is courteous. 
i like the interiors of the place which has interesting quotes and pictures.
overall a good place to sit and relax with some good music but its not really a party place.

it is a place nice to sit and chill out, but yes... service is not upto the mark. food was ok,but it takes nearly an hour to serve the food. so, make sure you order your food before you order your beverages.

rock n food.... if u know how to enjoy it this is the place to come too... simply awesome.......should definitely try the pork barbecue.., also the burgers 👍👍👍😊😊

went today wid ma frenz after a lotta hype in zomato. the ambience is good. cant say its value for money tho. my frenz ordered pork burger and i ordered crispy chicken. the food would be rated in higher threes. service sucks tho. they gave us an extra charged bill which when we enquired they changed it n they were not even apologetic! notin much to be so hyped about. but you wont mind a visit .

this place has to be one of my top hangout spot in guwahati. the interiors are well thought of, making the ambiance a perfect comfort setting. the menu has a wide variety to opt from which can satisfy any taste bud. the place is buzzing busy on the weekends when they have live acoustic bands and karaoke night which allow people to live the wild, young and free way. another good addition to this is the very well experienced bar tender who makes the cocktails and mocktails to perfection. you'll alwalys want to come back for his long island ice tea, sex on the beach, cosmopolitan and the refreshing mojitos.
a few must try are bbq chicken, bbq pork, chilly pork, smoked pork and definitely the biryani.
they also have the special candle light dinner package on the terrace. this place is a must visit for all those who want to have a good memorable time. urban mantra has definitely set the benchmark for pubs in the city.

been here yesterday with my friends after a hectic schedule in office i suggested this place since it is near to my office, urban mantra did not disappoint me at all the set-up at the lounge was perfect for hanging out , the food was too good , the music was good..and mostly -the bar tender 'the dude' is well experienced i say, we ordered the drinks long island tea , bloody mary and martini and it satisfied all of my friends.barbeque pork  is awesome my best pick if you visit there.

3rd review - i am writing for the 3rd time for this place and i am rather happy that this place has done wonders with its service. have been visiting for the last 2 weekends and the vibe here on saturday nights is incomparable to anywhere else in ghy. i stick to basic drinks here , no fancy cocktails or anything and regular bar food and they have not disappointed like my previous visits.



although i am a bit miffed that they nowadays take this 'band charge' on a saturday for no reason! pls stop with it. why escalate the expense?

this is an edit to my previous review which was of good praises for the place. on my visit today,i am quite sure of not making plans for here.
from past experience i know service here is ridiculous and hence i order couple of my drinks together.
today, they gave us a warm wine bottle and we had to return it and order few mojitos. the drinks came almost 25 minutes into the ordering and when they did arrive,they were the most pathetic mojitos you can taste. i have had mojitos here before and they were good.
did get really annoyed and asked for the bill as we left all the drinks and wanted to leave.
the guy has the audacity to bill us for those mojitos and also say that cocktails take so much time to be made.
to the management, i really enjoy the place but do get your service in order and the staff as well.

in guwahati where you have few choices to make when it comes to choosing a place where you can booze and enjoy good music at the same time , urban mantra did not disappoint me. the pork in bbq sauce is awesome.nice place to hang out with friends and have a drink...

little small but awesome place to hang out with friends. i visited the place last week with my friends which turn out to be one the most fun nights. the prices are fine affordable. the girl at the karaoke bar was friendly and amazing.what i liked was everyone was having fun and no one was being cheesy. the only thing i didn't like was the ventilation part because it felt little stuffy with the smoking around. if you are in town and you looking for a nice place to hang out with friends over drinks and food, with not too much of crowd and feel at home yet have a clubbing experience, not bad

good food , nice live music , excellent ambience and good service. menu is short but good choices and nice bar collection.its a must visit to enjoy the evenings.
