uno pizzeria & grill

lunch special is the best option because they give you all you can eat soup and salad and the option of pasta, chicken dish, salmon etc...... for a good price. but i would choose their popular chicago stylepizzaor thin crust pizza. i personally prefer thin crust, simply with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.....simply delicious.

pizza!. uno has lots of great menu items, but somehow we always end up ordering apizzato split, no matter what. more than half the time thepizzais finished and our main course comes home in a box. atmosphere is great, prices are reasonable, and the service is consistantly good, which is unusual on i-drive. as a local i know how tough it can be to maintain a good wait staff in the crazy boom-bust tourist cycle we have in orlando, but uno is one of the few chain stores that pulls it off.

this location's wait staff were incompetant and one woman messed up every table's order at least once. when i complained that my margarita did not taste like there was any patron silver in it, the woman gave me grief and didn't offer to remake it, but tried to convince me that "one should not be able to taste the silver patron!" this is my tequila if choice and she could not fool me. finally, i asked another waiter who was the only competant one there and he remade it himself, the correct way. like this rest. needs to haggle over a shot of tequila! she wanted me to buy a shot on the side! they also messed up my son'spizzaand he had to wait for a new one as our meals were there. this same girl server was not happy that we sent it back. i just hope my sin didn't have sabotage put into his new pizza.

this place has really taken a dive in quality and service. thepizzais not what it used to be. the waitress had an attitude and didn't refill our drinks the whole time we were there. the deep dishpizzalooked like 1/2 the size of what they used to serve just a couple of years ago.  we ordered a half cheese and half pepperoni deep dish pizza. thepizzadid have good taste with the right amount of sauce and cheese. the crust didn't look even or thick as usual so thepizzalooked kind of small. paid about $27 for the 12 inch pie. as a chicago native, i hate to say that i will be looking elsewhere for mypizzacravings. i love the way the inside of this place looks and how it makes me feel like i'm back home. but i won't be coming back.

we recently stopped into an uno pizzeria for a quick lunch. for decades, uno has offered lunch specials that are guaranteed to arrive at your table in 10 minutes so we knew we could eat quick. the special is normally your choice of a garden salad , caesar salad or a cup of soup and then an entrée such as thepizzaof the day , 1/2 of a pre selected sandwich or chicken thumbs . the menu is now expanded to a variety of lunch sized salads and more elaborate entrees such as chicken milanese or eggplant & zucchini on herbed focaccia . we went old school, ordering a salad and thepizzaof the day. friday is the best day for vegetarians in that thepizzachoices are meatless. my friend chad started with a garden salad with a blueberry vinaigrette . the salad had tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and croutons- uno has the best croutons. for his entrée he ordered the mediterranean flatbread with spinach, plum tomatoes, kalamata olives, pesto, feta and fresh basil. while he liked it, i wasn’t a big fan. there were a ton of olives on the flatbread and they were very overpowering.

more $$ than $. thepizzais incredible, but i spent $20 for two pizzas that literally only had 4 small slices a piece. granted, the pieces were thick and filling, but definitely not a $ restaurant as advertised.

since i was out of town and been wanting to try uno's in fort worth, tx for ever... happen to stumble across this one here in orlando. so i had to give it a try.

service : the service was great. had this waiter who was on the ball, even though it was kind of busy.

food : i ordered the deep dish pepperoni and had to get the slides.pizzawas awesome. bottom wasn't greasy. crust was very flakey and the bottom was flakey as well.
sliders - hand patted out. cooked to my specs. i asked for medium and it was cooked perfect. there sauce was out of this world. have to say i'm very picky about my burgers but that had to be the best every.

closing : i highly recommend eating here. i really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. now i will be trying the one in ft worth to compare it too.

wow! first time visiting the restaraunt, and i was amazed! not only was the service great and very helpful with my gluten allergy, the resulting gluten freepizzawas fantastic! even a full gluten free menu!
