amazing food, awesome server.. i was looking forward to a return trip to the local sushi bar while my boyfriend and i were in town for a horror movie convention. after a long, painful, hot walk, we realized the sushi bar was closed. uno is right across from the wyndham, and due to the traffic, we weren't about to get in the car and look for somewhere else to go.
reluctantly, we decided on uno. what a great mistake! immediately upon being seated in a comfy booth, our server, jason, approached to take our drink orders. my boyfriend and i both had beer. he had the second one out on the double. we even sampled the white peach sangria [amazing, btw!]
as for the food, i ordered a mediterranean veggie wrap (a whole wheat and flaxseed tortilla filled with roasted vegetables, caramelized onions, tomato, feta, lettuce and balsamic vinaigrette.)
my boyfriend had the short rib sliders (two sliders with one-year-old cabot® cheddar and uno's wowza sauce™. infused with samuel adams boston lager®.)
thefoodwas to die for. i had the farro salad, he had the fries, and the sides were tasty. you would not believe how difficult it is for people to get a french fry correct, but uno has perfected it and has it down to a science.
everything was extremely affordable. the meal came to under 35 bucks.
