u & me restaurant

tried a lot of dim sum places (because i'm chinese) and this is one of the best places! really like that it opens tilllatebecause it's much better than mcdonald's. lots of options and a good price!

my brother in-law and his gf wanted to go to u & me for dim sum, he’s from out of town and they go here every time they come. now i’ve only ever been here at 3am after consuming enough booze to inebriate a horse; so i figured, why not? let’s do it.

i love dim sum and have the city cased, had u & me slipped through the cracks? yes, and for good reason. this place sucks. so much so it changed the opinion of my brother in-law, i am disappointed in his taste for food. there is infinitely better dim sum in calgary, let me save you a bad meal and a few hours of agony on the toilet.

u & me is held together with duct tape... literally, look around when you get there. it obviously caters to thelatenight crowds and rightly so, if you stumbled it at 3am almost anywhere that served deep fried dumplings would appear as the promise land. at 11am on a friday, the bar lights come on and you realize you made a mistake.

the food was terrible, i had something way too hard in my shiu mai that left me guessing and swallowing, cause that’s fun. their turnip cake in xo sauce was great but that’s real hard to mess up. the rest of it, frankly, i can’t even remember what it was that we ordered. it sucked.

if you’re rolling in past 9pm enjoy, i would too! if you’re going here for dim sum before then, go anywhere else!

i used to come here forlatenight dinners as they're open until 4am. i would order the chicken fried rice, salt and pepper squid, and dim sum. the food here comes really fastlateat night within seconds but the food here isn't too great. chicken fried rice (heavily salted) and the salt and pepper squid is very greasy. their dim sum is okay but during thelatenights you're expected to pay around $7 per dish. my rating here is very low as some of the staff here demand a tip and will sometimes automatically take it off your bill. probably would not recommend but their mornings might be a different story.

always a great place forlatenight food. u & me is open from 8 am to 4 am! the food is always fast and fresh and service is decent if you get here before midnight. the dim sum is really good and the hot plate items are large and a great value.

this place is alright if you're looking for somewhere to eatlateat night, other than that i wouldn't go out of my way to come here since i also have to pay for parking. the service is not the best, you really have to stare at the server or make hand gestures to get someone's attention.

you and me restaurant is an excellent authentic choice for asian cuisine! my taiwanese wife loves this place! you'll never go home hungry after going here. openlateand lots of parking around on sunday's or after 6 during the week. one of our favourite spots for fresh authentic food!

i wanted to go somewhere that i haven't had dim sum before and had soup dumplings on their menu. i had a choice between two places in chinatown, and i chose u and me since this place is big and have a very big dim sum menu. i haven't been to u and me since my university days where we would golateat night for some yummy greasy chinese food. this place was and still is known for staying open verylate(or early). their hours are 8am to 4am everyday.

came herelatenight with the family. and quite surprised food was delicious!

definitely order the xiao long baos, super juicy and i would say the best i've tried in calgary. all the food came out piping hot and i didn't pay, but i think the prices were all pretty reasonable.

service was not good. when we ordered, she told us to give the chef 15 minutes, while he eats dinner, before he would start cooking our dishes. we waited a very long time....30 mins and we're getting extremely hangry. to wait that long at a chinese restaurant is unacceptable. i get the chef needs to eat, but they need a second chef, or have customers come first. i can respect the fact she told us, but dang we were hungry. service wasn't attentive either

i've been here a bunch of times, sometimes for morning dimsum.  or lunch, or even sometime after the bar as they open late.   those of you who only eat herelateat night are totally missing out.  at the night, the kitchen staff doesn't seem like they are about the quality of the food.   which i don't blame them, serving 100's of drunk calgarians.   but if you come here for dimsum or their lunch, the food actually really good!

the service is always a hit and miss here but the food is always yummy! i love the dim sum here and the fried rice! lots of choices and it's open till 4 am great forlatenight cravings!

love thelatehours & the cheap menu. been here twice, once after midnight and the other during dinner time (6-7). the service at night is super slow had to flag the waiter multiple times. at dinner time they were quite fast with the service

the absolute worst food i've ever had!!! me and my friend came here after a hockey game forlatenight grub. we ordered mussels in black bean sauce which was completely inedible. it tasted like it was doused in salt to mask the seafood stench that clearly couldn't be masked. one tiny bite of the salt and pepper squid and i could taste the msg. it was also extremely salty! but the oyster was worst. we also ordered the short rib with black pepper on the hot plate. we were so excited to see it come out sizzling... but once it was cooling off i could see the fat and corn starch glistening over the dish... the only dish that came out good was the bbq pork bun and shrimp and beef dumpling. but even that couldn't make up for the rest.
the service was horrendous as well. we weren't asked how our food was at all and when we had our plates untouched by the end they just took the dishes and packed them up for us without asking if they were okay. such a waste of food! i was told that they auto grat the bills as well... which we weren't informed of...
what a terrible experience! i'm most definitely never coming here again.

good place to go forlatenight snack. they open till 2am i think. the food and service are okay. not the best. but it is pretty convenience afterlatenight study. also the location of it, it is good for a group gathering as well

standard of service - poor, quality & authencity of food - very good value for money. when you walk into this restaurant strike off the word "service" from your mind, to the extent that you may feel they compromise with hygiene often, though i have never had any trouble after dining here. when it comes to authenticity of taste and quality u & me sure stands out ! this was told by a cantonese friend of mine. the dimsums(especially shrimps) are healthy and light. dishes made of duck & chicken feet are really tasty! the lotus seed bun is light in sweetness and an authentic recipe here. all who dines here would agree that the quantity served is huge. so lone diners like me have to be very careful while ordering and a box accompanies me back home always. none of the dishes from starters to entries have disappointed me till date. unfortunately i have never been able to taste thelateevening dishes that they only serve after 9:30 pm. i will have to break the rule of early supper one day for that. overall, very good value for money, though not the most cosy one.

still a good choice for dinner andlatenight food.... there aren't many restaurant that open 20 hours a day/7 days a week and offerslatenight dim sum. the food was great and reasonably priced. we were surprised with the speedy service we received from friendly staff. i will certainly go back for morelatenight dim sum with my buddies.
