two dudes restaurant

hidden gem. blink and you'll miss two dudes. it sits in a tiny strip building and doesn't look like much but you've heard the old saying "don't judge a book by its cover". the food is excellent. huge portions with some of the freshest seafood you'll ever have. everyone in our party enjoyed their food. my wife and i order the baja tacos and each had a grouper (blackened) and mahi (marinated in 2 dudes house marinade). both were excellent. another in our party had the seafood cobb that was piled high with crab and shrimp. the other person chose the macadamia nut crusted grouper. the service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. i just chalked the longer wait to them making everything fresh. i would highly recommend hitting up two dudes!

man, this place is the place for the best choice food in the entire jacksonville's beaches area! went there for the 1st time just a week ago or so. the staff greeted me w/ a welcoming smile (always important), i was seated right away, although this may not always be the case, as two dudes has gotten so popular :) and the food....deeeelicious!!!!! i had the mahi mahi tacos & hands down the best around ! im a huge fish taco fan & am really picky. these were so fresh, so heavenly delicious it felt like i was committing a sin, lol. love this place & recommend it highly to all! 5 out of 5 *****

i love this restaurant! i love seafood there! as well, the island sauce company signature dishes!! this restaurant will do nothing more then please!

never again. food was ok, nothing great. small portions, service was ok, kitchen was slow. biggest complaint, they cut the sea scallops in half to make it seem like there were more of them, how lame is that.

yesterday i was frantically looking for a place to eat. me and my family of 5 have eaten everywhere up and down jacksonville. my husband was tell me all about this place, so i decided to take a chance and go. right when i walked in we got a happy greeting from the friendly staff. we started off with loaded fries, and they were amazing! then we got a goofy foot with shrimp and grouper, both blackened. i thought i was going to fall out of my chair! it impressed me. we never ate all of it because there was so much!! last but not least my daughter was begging me for some strawberry long board, therefore i got it for her. i had a bite and i may say it was nothing like i've ever had. to top everything off we had really good service, the lady with blonde and light brown hair; informed us about everything we needed to know. thanks two dudes, we will see you soon(:

best restaurant at the beach!

ate there with a party of 6 last night. started with crab- mango quesadilla... amazing!!! we shared everything from blackened grouper to fried shrimp, all were the best i ever had. sides included mango- wasabi slaw, veggies, and fries... devine! then we shared strawberry longboard and chocolate tsunami and they were also delish!

our service was great and we even got a visit from chef ace which made our night. what an awesome experience and the dudes is my new favorite restaurant!!

2 dudes. the only thing i did not like about 2 dudes is...
i can't make up my mind...it is all so good !!
i want to eat everything on the menu..lol
so, i guess i will have to just keep going back!!
i had the fish sandwich and it was soooo yummy!
but, i was jealous of my husband...cause he had the
biggest shrimp...can't even discribe the size..lol

first time i have eaten there my fiancee and i had a family dinner there tonight and it was incredible.. the food the service was great.. it is a lil whole in the wall kinda place but it does not feel that way when ur enjoying the food.. highly reccommended

this place is amaze balls! i go in there every week and eat i something new and i'm always impress! this place is honestly best at the best!

yum!. great blackened grouper tacos (little heavy on the cabbage) but so tasty!!! the grilled swordfish was amazing! will definitely eat here on our next visit!

first time surprise. blackened grouper taco is the best ever. apparently it changed a year ago and has ratings and comments that are mixed before. it is a top place for casual seafood.

it was ok. pros: wasabi coleslaw was very good, atmosphere quaint and beachy, drinks were inexpensive. con: crabcakes were overpriced and not good. hubby didnt like them at all. very bready and small.

disappointed. been to two dudes 3 times. first two awesome had a great time... last thursday we had a party of 5 and only 2 tables open in front room and reserve signs on the tables in the back room so waitress helped us move the 2 tables together. after 20 min we tried to get the attention of the waitress and was told wait a min... 2 people came in sat at the bar got drinks and ordered food and we still can't even get the table clean. after 30 min we walked out and neither one of the waitresses said a word to use... sad such good food and so poor service. get them some help!

fresh and tasty. small restaurant on a side street near the beach. a couple of people had recommended it - so being food affectionados we went. not knowing what to expect we took 5 friends to see what all the fuss was about. very "beachy" atmosphere and very friendly. we looked at the menu and everyone ordered different menu items so we could taste many things. everything we had was just excellent. i had "trigger fish" that was cooked to perfection. what made it even better - was the great big portions.
chef ace came out to say hello - turns out i greet him every week at our church.

faboulous & fresh, great prices. great fresh, local seafood and good prices...does not get much better. quaint, little beach joint that makes top quality meals and huge portions...go for the huganus..i hope i spelled that right..lol

great place...try it out..the food is amazing you won't be disappointed..

awesome dinner. we were really confused by the bad reviews of this restaurant. it was as though these folks went to a different restaurant. the place got new owners in december 2011.

the food was awesome and basa is delicious, but we do think it should be taken off the menu because it is raised in the filthy mekong delta and may contain harmful chemicals. too bad because the taste is wonderful. all of us had delicious meals. the fried corn on the cob was so different and great tasting. everyone in our foursome was extremely pleased. the location is hard to get in and out and potentially quite dangerous to folks who may be turning left onto seminole road from atlantic and are behind folks who may be looking for a parking place in front of this restaurant.

the decor of this joint is really cute and it has a fun surfing vibe. our party was so glad that we did not overreact to the bad reviews on urban spoon and went there anyway. we were so excited to find this great little place so close to home.
