sometimes size doesn't matter. if you don't know any better, you will think it is a great hoagie, simply because of the price and size regardless of what type or size hoagie you order. the triangle still has the same look and smell as it always has and that is a good thing. i recently ordered 3 battleships and upon picking them up and getting them outside, i did what most of us do after not having one for years... i closed my eyes, took a deep breath and inhaled. it was like my childhood flashed in front of me. i was officially home... that was the comfort i was looking for. after unwrapping my precious babies to share with family, i immediately noticed thebreadlooked and felt different. the hoagies were made very well, just how i remembered, but fell short on taste and texture. thebreadand meat unfortunately did not live up to expectation and i have probably eaten my last triangle hoagie. it’s not that is was a bad, it was different and the quality of the ingredients fell short.
i am sure there are many on this site that know far more about the triangle than i do, but i have over 40 years of experience and memories as to how these hoagies once ruled pittsburgh. i lived only blocks away and my dad once provided some of the veggies they used. now some of you probably know at least my last name.
if you are new to the triangle experience try it, you just might fall in love, it is worth the experience. if you share the same childhood memories and triangle pride as i do, it’s not worth the risk of being disappointed.
