great sandwich value. i am very happy to report that after not visiting for 10 years, i am still in love the sandwichs here at triangle bar & grill.
staff is friendly and fast. get your fix and get on with your day! had the roast beef/turkey combo on a destroyer and loved it!

food ok, but not worth the rest of the experience. italian sub was good, but nothing out of this world.

the place is in a fairly bad location, and we got harassed by people in the area when we were just walking back to our car minding our own business.

they were out of at least two types of subs (dinner time on a friday), which was a disappointment.

the place isn't the cleanest either. we ate-in, but if i had it to do over, i would probably do take out. either way, i probably won't be back anytime soon...

disappointment. i have been buying triangle hoagies for 40 years and i recently bought on may 6 a battleship and destroyer. i was ashamed to share these hoagies with my company when i opened it, the destroyer i shared with a friend that has been sick and i am sure it was just as disappointing as mine. after i shared with my company i took a picture of what was left which was not much meat on the entire hoagie. there was litterly one strip of roast beef on the entire hoagie not to mention not much cornbeef either. i do not mind standing in line 15 to 20 minutes but i expect the hoagie to be worth the wait. i do think i deserve a decent hoagie since you have been in business for many years for your sandwiches. i hope this don't fall on deaf ears.

went there for the first time a few months ago. i always passed it by due to the location and the look of the place. mistake! a friend convinced me to go, and i'm happy i did. the place is wide open, bright and the people friendly. its more of a hoagie joint than a bar. i think ordering "to go" is your best option. above all, the hoagie was really delicious. i probably wouldn't stop there on a saturday night at 11:00pm, but a day time stop should be fine. to reiterate, sketchy neighborhood, great sandwich!

we called our order ahead and asked what was in the chicken salad sandwich. the response i got was mayo and chicken and celery. i specifically asked if there was any relish in it. they confirmed that there was not relish in the sandwich. i got the battleship size to be split with a group of people. i got our order an there was some type of relish (pickle) inside the sandwich. everyone was very unhappy. we ended up throwing away the whole sandwich. there was also a steak sandwich that was ordered it was only to have pepers, onions, prov cheese, and italian dressing. it came with what we asked for and warm lettuce. needless to say that too went in the trash too! very unhappy and hungry customers.

the bar that makes that sandwich. get a battleship is you want a 26 inch delicious sub/hoagie. or get the destroyer is you want half as much. but when you want a delicious italian sub go to the triangle. or you can order some of the other sandwiches perhaps a jumbo or roast beef. just don't miss it!

sometimes size doesn't matter. if you don't know any better, you will think it is a great hoagie, simply because of the price and size regardless of what type or size hoagie you order. the triangle still has the same look and smell as it always has and that is a good thing. i recently ordered 3 battleships and upon picking them up and getting them outside, i did what most of us do after not having one for years... i closed my eyes, took a deep breath and inhaled. it was like my childhood flashed in front of me. i was officially home... that was the comfort i was looking for. after unwrapping my precious babies to share with family, i immediately noticed the bread looked and felt different. the hoagies were made very well, just how i remembered, but fell short on taste and texture. the bread and meat unfortunately did not live up to expectation and i have probably eaten my last triangle hoagie. it’s not that is was a bad, it was different and the quality of the ingredients fell short.

i am sure there are many on this site that know far more about the triangle than i do, but i have over 40 years of experience and memories as to how these hoagies once ruled pittsburgh. i lived only blocks away and my dad once provided some of the veggies they used. now some of you probably know at least my last name.

if you are new to the triangle experience try it, you just might fall in love, it is worth the experience. if you share the same childhood memories and triangle pride as i do, it’s not worth the risk of being disappointed.

the beer selection is very limited. miller lite, yuengling and … this is almost it! on the other hand, the sandwich are very good and the basic (italian) sandwich is very basic but worth it ! if you are looking for quick and good food, this is a good place to try !

what is there to say? you get a giant hoagie for a small amount of money. the bread they use is so deliciously chewy and fresh. it's the only non-baked hoagie i will eat. we always get a regular italian but sometimes i get a small roast beef with provolone. with the oil and spices on it it is to die for. if i had to pick a last meal, then this would be it!!! it's a pittsburgh staple.

this place is a dive bar with amazing hoagies. if you're expecting anything else than you will be disappointed. i love their roast beef hoagies. it's chipped rather than sliced and put on the most amazingly fresh and chewy hoagie bun with provolone and oil and spices.
