tony's i-75

the only thing thisplacehas going for it are the portions. they give you a lot of food for the price you pay. each plate is literally enough to feed 2-3 people. but if i'm going to be a glutton, the food better be good, and it's too bad the food here ain't. it's not just the food that's bad, the restaurant is really dirty. everything is sticky, staff clean food right onto the floor without sweeping it up, there's food particles/residue everywhere (see picture), etc...

thisplacewas an absolute zoo. the portions were ridiculously large but the food was nasty. my clam strips were gritty and had weird gooey white stuff on the breading and i've had better fries out of the freezer. the service wasn't all that good either. definitely will not be returning.

glad we stopped!. we came for the legendary blt and we're blown away by the quality of the bacon! delicious! we ordered a blt and a rueben and split them 4 ways. definitely not disappointed!

we finished our meal off with an amazing, gravity defying banana split that inspired my 18 year old daughter to do a "happy yum yum dance" with each bite. split 4 ways it was a great value a well!

this was a memorable stop on our journey. theplaceis a bit dated but you get that old fashioned diner feel. a nice break from the same old chain restaurant scene!

deep fried bacon, nasty!. the quantity and quality of tony's is an urban legend of the tony's before the birch run mall was built, when "jibber" used to run it. after jibber retired theplacewent down hill. yes, there are large portions of bland, poorly prepared food because they charge a lot for the item a person orders.

one example of how the quality of food has gone down hill is the steak sandwich which is what tony's is noted for. years ago, when a person ordered a steak sandwich, a person got a large portion of meat between normal size slices of italian bread. now when a person orders a steak sandwich, the person gets huge slices of italian bread and hidden between the slices is a small portion of meat. if you want a good quality steak sandwich avoid the br tony's and stop at one of the other tony's. each tony's in independently owned and i recommend the tony's on gratiot in saginaw and grampa tony's in bay city. the br tony's is a tourist trap that should be avoided.

i have been here a number of times over the years and the last time was, well the last. i'm just not into bulk eating, its a cool one time go for a laugh. like others have stated theplaceis just dirty and on the bland side.

biggest blt ever. after having a blt here, i have learned that every otherplacethat serves one is overpriced. one pound of bacon. under $10. amazing. the blt itself was like the size of my head, and i'm not really exaggerating on that.

if you're not into bacon, they have 12-egg omelets as well as desserts that are some of the biggest anywhere in the usa.

it's worth going to if one is headed to frankenmuth or if going the other way, detroit. just don't eat the week before you go. the portions are that big. :)

horrible food, terrible staff, filty building. i had been to tony's as a kid and wanted to take my kids there - big mistake, this is not theplaceit used to be. sure you get huge porportions - but the quality of the food, staff and the buildign are poor at best. we were seated right ...away - took 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. the table was filthy - the floor was covered in food from the last people that ate at the trough. ordered a blt to share with the boys - took a half hour to get our food. bacon was not cooked all the way and was mostly fat... fries were cold and soggy. we did not eat much of it because it was horrible. then we sat for a half hour for our bill - i had to walk around and ask three other servers to find our waitress to get the bill. cashed out and told them how bad the food and service was - and she could have cared less!!! i miss theplacei went to as a kid - i will not be going to tony's ever again!!!!

if you are looking for tonys... go to saginaw. thisplacedoesn't do the tony's franchise justice. you can take the shoe leather bacon, i'll be much happier with a steak sandwich and a cup of joe down on state street.

my eyes got huge. wow, first time i ate at tony's was friday, august 19, 2011.
heard about thisplacefor over a year, so, as a group we all took a day trip to birtch run, well, we had to eat at tony's first. i ordered the breakfast usual, including bacon. when our waitress brought my plate, my eyes got huge, so says the others. i had to dig through the bacon to find the eggs. lol.... hash browns and toast too/ w coffee. i took the major portion of bacon home. food, service, and the "tony" experience was great by me.

overated!!!!. plain jane food, deep fried bacon is nasty, theplacelooks dirty. save your money unless you want to pig out on plain tasting greasy food at a dive.
