money's worth!. we come once a year for breakfast on our way to northern mi for vacation, foods great, service is fast, definitely get your money's worth!

i love tony's. i have been eating there since i was a kid. huge portions and always great quality. you won't leave hungry

my daughter was traveling with a friend last night and called me to ask where she could stop to eat, as she was not familiar with the area. her father and i told her to stop by tonys because we have always had a good experience there, good food and great service. so she and her friend stopped there not long before closing time.....they were helped at the end of their visit by two waitresses, one was tall with dark hair the other she said was middle aged.......they told the girls not to go out the regular door so the girls went towards the back door, but there was a big sign that said stop, so the girls stopped there not knowing if it was ok to go out that door or not. the dark haired waitress then went in front of them and said " i guess i'll open the door for you" !! then as the girls were going to their car and the waitresses were going to their own cars they said to the girls :" dont worry, we wouldnt kidnap you, youre too stupid to kidnap and we would have to give you back" seriously? we are in shock.....who does that? who would say something like that to a customer? i really think, at the very least, that my daughter and her friend receive an apology,

another vote for no. just poorly prepared food in comical quantities. the blts are fun to ogle at, but other than that, there's just no reason to come here.

had dinner here.i had the western omelette and it was very large and was good.service was prompt and friendly. prices suit the size of the meals.

the only thing this place has going for it are the portions. they give you a lot of food for the price you pay. each plate is literally enough to feed 2-3 people. but if i'm going to be a glutton, the food better be good, and it's too bad the food here ain't. it's not just the food that's bad, the restaurant is really dirty. everything is sticky, staff clean food right onto the floor without sweeping it up, there's food particles/residue everywhere (see picture), etc...

this place was an absolute zoo. the portions were ridiculously large but the food was nasty. my clam strips were gritty and had weird gooey white stuff on the breading and i've had better fries out of the freezer. the service wasn't all that good either. definitely will not be returning.

glad we stopped!. we came for the legendary blt and we're blown away by the quality of the bacon! delicious! we ordered a blt and a rueben and split them 4 ways. definitely not disappointed!

we finished our meal off with an amazing, gravity defying banana split that inspired my 18 year old daughter to do a "happy yum yum dance" with each bite. split 4 ways it was a great value a well!

this was a memorable stop on our journey. the place is a bit dated but you get that old fashioned diner feel. a nice break from the same old chain restaurant scene!

rip off.. wasteful serving sizes, over priced, gross environment, and poor quality food.

omg huge portions. my mother and i took a shopping trip to the states for a couple days and while we were in birch run, i told her we had to try tony's. i heard a bunch of good reviews at work.. so we went, we were warned of the big portions and so we shared a meal. we got the turkey club, no tomatos and added cheese. also got a side of fries and a side of gravey. the service was great, our waitress was fast and nice. the meal came out within ten mins and my gosh it was gianormous. i took pics and posted them on here.. there was a steak knife in the top and the steak knife looks mini compared to the sandwich. there was prob 1/2 lb to full lb of bacon on there, lots of shaved turkey and american cheese, mayo and lettuce all on a toast giant sandwich bun. the fries were huge too we couldnt even eat half them. the gravey came out in a soup bowl!! all in all it was great service and super yummy food.. and i had enough to take home for breakie lunch and supper the next day lol

deep fried bacon, nasty!. the quantity and quality of tony's is an urban legend of the tony's before the birch run mall was built, when "jibber" used to run it. after jibber retired the place went down hill. yes, there are large portions of bland, poorly prepared food because they charge a lot for the item a person orders.

one example of how the quality of food has gone down hill is the steak sandwich which is what tony's is noted for. years ago, when a person ordered a steak sandwich, a person got a large portion of meat between normal size slices of italian bread. now when a person orders a steak sandwich, the person gets huge slices of italian bread and hidden between the slices is a small portion of meat. if you want a good quality steak sandwich avoid the br tony's and stop at one of the other tony's. each tony's in independently owned and i recommend the tony's on gratiot in saginaw and grampa tony's in bay city. the br tony's is a tourist trap that should be avoided.

i have been there a few times and am sad to say that the food quality has declined.
this time i ordered the cubed steak & cheese sandwich. the bread was great but the meat was ice cold and they forgot the cheese... so sad to see...

i have been here a number of times over the years and the last time was, well the last. i'm just not into bulk eating, its a cool one time go for a laugh. like others have stated the place is just dirty and on the bland side.

everybody likes this pace, but why?. bacon, bacon, bacon - we all love bacon. but when you get a huge quantity of non-tasty bacon, then its just no good. tony's gives a huge bacon sandwich or breakfast - but the bacon is tough and tastes like its been deep fried until shoe leather tough. i've been here twice, but i won't be back for thirds! go get a burger over at halo instead!

biggest blt ever. after having a blt here, i have learned that every other place that serves one is overpriced. one pound of bacon. under $10. amazing. the blt itself was like the size of my head, and i'm not really exaggerating on that.

if you're not into bacon, they have 12-egg omelets as well as desserts that are some of the biggest anywhere in the usa.

it's worth going to if one is headed to frankenmuth or if going the other way, detroit. just don't eat the week before you go. the portions are that big. :)
