what a sexy evening! as described by toni herself... but i couldn't agree more! on arrival, the atmosphere embraced me like a warming hug from an old friend with a comfortable glow from the lighting along with smiling faces at the entrance, which already made me excited for the ultimate pizza experience!
after a wonderful round of cocktails (which could also be described as sexy) we were introduced to a variety of delicious focaccia's and salads as starters! the pizza base is so delectable that all you need is a bit of garlic and herbs to make a delicious mouth watering starter! making my favorite the garlic focaccia! the simplicity and freshness of the ingredients just make the starter incredible! also a personal fave would be the chicken salad which consisted of shredded chicken and your usual salad accompaniments. following the starters came an array of toni's famous pizza's ...along with the famous pizza that made it all happen....the insalata which is a plain pizza base made with fresh avo, pine nuts, chili and toni's love! my personal fave was the oxtail pizza because the meat was tender and juicy, which complimented the tomatoey; cheesy base! however, choosing a fave was not exactly easy considering that all herpizzaswere just to die for!
lastly came the desert...being a sweet tooth i was anxious for this course to come! the delicious dessert pizza was definitely the fave! however, the homemade nougat and the chocolate brownie was definitely a close second to my pallet! irresistible deserts! i feel like you can't go wrong with whatever choice you make!
and to end the evening off...toni herself came to deliver a signature shot called "die glibberige toti" which was a beautiful blend of amaretto, jack daniels and straw rum, accompanied by a pear soaked in syrup and caramelized sugar on top!
that was the perfect end to such a wonderful evening!!! not to mention that the staff treat you like family, making this place comfortable for anyone and just s trip to wonderland! thank you toni for the sexy experience and wonderful pizza's!! will definitely be back for more! @zomatoxtonispizza

i'd you want to eat gourmet wood firepizzasthen look no further than toni's. with a couple of restaurants running successfully you can be assured they know what they doing. they carry all the usual drinks and have a few of the popular craft beers on hand. they have other options on the menu besides pizza and they pride themselves with their quality.

i recently attended a foodie meetup at toni's, and what en experience! we were welcomed with delicious margaritas, not too strong, not too tart, just the way i like it!
toni "managed" our table herself, entertaining, recommending, describing her delectable dishes as they arrived. she created a unique experience for us, but it seems she does that every night for her guests.

her regulars she greets with a hug, creating a family atmosphere in her restaurant. she even makes all the desserts for all her restaurants herself! her own special touch can be found everywhere, in all her dishes.

back to the food... we were treated to salads and focaccia as starters. the salads were amazing! so tasty, each ingredient complementing the others perfectly! not just a bunch of lettuce and a few toppings either! you can taste the quality of the ingredients used! my favourite focaccia was the caramelised onions and blue cheese! yum!

on to the pizzas, you can create a half and half so you get to taste more than one pizza. great idea to order a few half and halfpizzasand share amongst the table, there is such a variety to choose from. something to suit everyone's taste buds and preferences! they have yum pastas on the menu too!

to end off, we had the most decadent desserts! chocolate pizzas, homemade nougat, brownies and ice cream, all very tasty, and then the chocolate mouse... this deserves a special mention, as dreams are made of this choc mousse! it was unlike any other mousse i have ever tasted! so thick and creamy, you just have to taste the mousse!
i am told that there are dessert milkshakes too, including adult ones which have a bit of a kick.

thank you to toni, the experience and food were amazing! we enjoyed every minute we were there! from your great, personal hosting to the food you create! an amazing experience we will surely be back for again soon!

pretoria is known for being the hub of continental food. pretoria has many hidden secrets and the other night i was exposed to a very different take on pizzas. a rustic, warmly lit restaurant like toni’s, i was very pleasantly surprised. so for those who want a different take on the traditional pizza, toni’s is the place for you.
this small restaurant had a very warm european evening feel to it, the simple décor allowed the food to be the centre of attention. the restaurant customers and waiters buzzed with energy and excitement. we were fortunate enough to meet the owner toni who was as amazing as her food.
we started with an insalta con pollo (chicken salad) and a house salad. the first salad consisted of chicken, cherry tomatoes, olives, feta, lettuce, toasted almonds, onion, and peppadew pesto. both salads were very delicious the flavours worked together very well and the different textures complimented each other.
for the main course we had the option of 14 different pizzas. all of them equally as exquisite in taste and colour as the next. but of all thepizzasthat i tasted the ones that i enjoyed most were the insalata (garlic, chilli, avocado, rocket, grana padano, toasted pine buts, olive oil), the cipolle (with a tomatoe base, mozzarella, caramelised onion, brie, toasted almonds), the oxtail pizza, and the pollo pizza (with a tomatoes base, mozzarella, tandoori, chicken, feta, olives and garlic). the insalta was a different take on the traditional pizza because it did not have the traditional tomatoes base and it had a crunchy base and smooth avocado with a bite of chilli, you wont go wrong with this choice. the cipolle, one of my favourites was very interesting to me because of the savoury crunch of the almonds which complimented the sweet caramelised onions. the oxtail pizza was very tasty as well, the meat cooked to perfection and not too tough and just the right amount of seasoning. lastly the pollo pizza, which was not just pleasing to the eye but untee will definitely be to your pallet. all the dishes were executed in a very different way making it a feast for the eyes and the stomach. the large sizes were very big and thepizzasvery filling, prices varied but this place has so much to choose from you wont go wrong if you decide to eat here.
the desserts were equally as impressive. we were served a chocolate mouse, a home-made nougat, a chocolate brownie with ice cream, and a hazelnut and chocolate marshmallow pizza and lastly to top it all of a cookie monster milkshake. if you have a sweet tooth like me toni’s will definitely satisfy it. the chocolate mouse was very thick but the rich taste of dark chocolate was soothing. the chocolate brownie was the perfect consistency between chewy in the middle and crunchy on the outside and the ice cream complimented it. the nougat was also very sticky and sweet drizzled with honey and was packed with thinly sliced and toasted almonds, which was delicioso! the cookie monster was an oreo milkshake and it definitely exceeds its name with an oreo in the middle of the shake. but the real star of the dessert show was the chocolate hazelnut marshmallow pizza, which was simply divine. i could have easily sat there and eaten a whole chocolate pizza to myself.
the food was delicious and upon meeting the owner and chef one can see that she is just as crazy and passionate about her food and this is definitely a feature that she portrays well through the food. it is obvious to see why toni’s is such a busy restaurant because it has the whole package of great food, great people and just an overall great atmosphere.

it's a pity we don't have a 10/5 on zomato. if there was one and only one i'd award it to this place. where do i start? from the time you walk in the young, handsome, friendly staff welcome you. most of them are students with impeccable manners. they treat you with such respect. i don't brag about salads ever but at this place the house salad is absolutely amazing. the pizzas, well, let me not get carried away. there's this pizza which i wouldn't dar try, which has strawberries with caviar- damn is it amazing. thepizzasare my favorite in pretoria. some people attemptpizzasand there's about 20 pizza places in the area but none come close to this. guys. the lamb pasta is out of this world. the blue cheese gnocchi will drive you crazy.. i don't even know what to say further because i've got so much about this place which is perfect. please try the desserts. the mousse is divine but what the pretoria explorer is actually going to do, is that we going to feature their brownies as the best brownie in gauteng. have the adult milkshakes and i promise you won't regret. okay i'm getting a bit carried away.. bye for now 😋

i'm am bias. toni's have a way of pushing your pizza boundaries with their unconventional pizza combinations. tastefully prepared, their pizza offers everything to your imagination and so much more. you have the option to combine two flavourpizzasinto one large pizza wich gives you the best of your two favorites. my favorite? pizza al toni & the d' angelo. i can recommend toni's for easy uncomplicated dining that is worth every cent.

decided to try this place out based on the good reviews, we popped in for an early lunch today and had the pizzette lunch time special where you can three minipizzas(15cm) for the price of 2. we chose one with mushrooms garlic and truffle oil (no tomato base) called fungi which was good, a pollo pizza with tandoori chicken feta and olives and our third one was my favorite: brie cheese, caramelized onions and toasted almonds. awesome combo!!! very friendly staff and enjoyed the little cookies we had with our red cappuccinos too!

i've seen toni's grow from the small pizza joint with the gallery next to it into the franchise that it has now become. the quality of pizza was not compromised at any point during this process. this branch is the closest to its original atmosphere with the addition of extra space and a play area for kids. toni's was the first place to serve a dessert pizza in pretoria to my knowledge and you can even order a salad on top of a focaccia if you feel like some greens.

service is normally very good but it's good wood burning oven baked pizza and that takes time so be patient.

if you haven't been to a toni's make a plan and try one of their very flavourfulpizzasbe sure to round it off with the dessert, you'll thank me later.

from the outside, on a dusty winter's afternoon, the restaurant doen't appear like much. inside there is also little to create a cosy atmosphere.
i gather the "fully furnished" alludes to the remarkably good food!
(on summer evenings the place is packed). though even saturday afternoon there was a steady stream of diners coming for their toni's pizza fix.
thepizzasare fantastic and comes in small sizes too. therefore one is able to order more than one at a time of the very creative variety available.
my favourite is the pizza pesto with tomato base, mozarella, peppadew pesto, basil pesto, goats milk cheese, walnuts, proscuitto and avo. it is a sensation of taste and texture in your mouth. first you taste freshness of the avo & pesto & sharp saltiness of proscuitto. following is a delicious crunchy creamy layer of walnut and cheeses. the goats cheese adds that pleasant alkalinity. lastly comes the crispness of the pizza base. heaven in a mouthful!

their fresh made ravioli is superb and goes well with almost all of the available pasta sauces. the chorizo sauce is however the best, in my opinion. theirpizzasare also very good, given that it is their speciality, it does live up to that. there are so many different options which leaves you wanting to come back over and over to try out all the different gourmet toppings options. as a regular at toni's i can definitely say i can't complain and for the price you pay for what you get it really is worth it. i just wouldn't order ye focaccia, which is basically a naked pizza with little flavour. but all in all it is a great place to go, staff are always friendly, decor fits
the artsy vibes just perfectly.

i have nothing bad to say about this restaurant.

the decor is lovely and the ambience is really warm and welcoming. the little shopping centre that it's in is really great. thepizzaswere also delicious. not life-changing or anything, but fresh and good quality which is all you really need. the waiters were polite and friendly.

i'll definitely go back there again :)
