toni's have amazing pizza, however, it is advised to stay clear of gluten free pizza's at this establishment. the bases are premadeoff-site and costs r30 extra. the standard of pizzerias in pretoria is high, and therefor, this last pizza will forever leave a bad taste in my mouth.

what a sexy evening! as described by toni herself... but i couldn't agree more! on arrival, the atmosphere embraced me like a warming hug from an old friend with a comfortable glow from the lighting along with smiling faces at the entrance, which alreadymademe excited for the ultimate pizza experience!
after a wonderful round of cocktails (which could also be described as sexy) we were introduced to a variety of delicious focaccia's and salads as starters! the pizza base is so delectable that all you need is a bit of garlic and herbs to make a delicious mouth watering starter! making my favorite the garlic focaccia! the simplicity and freshness of the ingredients just make the starter incredible! also a personal fave would be the chicken salad which consisted of shredded chicken and your usual salad accompaniments. following the starters came an array of toni's famous pizza's ...along with the famous pizza thatmadeit all happen....the insalata which is a plain pizza basemadewith fresh avo, pine nuts, chili and toni's love! my personal fave was the oxtail pizza because the meat was tender and juicy, which complimented the tomatoey; cheesy base! however, choosing a fave was not exactly easy considering that all her pizzas were just to die for!
lastly came the desert...being a sweet tooth i was anxious for this course to come! the delicious dessert pizza was definitely the fave! however, the homemade nougat and the chocolate brownie was definitely a close second to my pallet! irresistible deserts! i feel like you can't go wrong with whatever choice you make!
and to end the evening off...toni herself came to deliver a signature shot called "die glibberige toti" which was a beautiful blend of amaretto, jack daniels and straw rum, accompanied by a pear soaked in syrup and caramelized sugar on top!
that was the perfect end to such a wonderful evening!!! not to mention that the staff treat you like family, making this place comfortable for anyone and just s trip to wonderland! thank you toni for the sexy experience and wonderful pizza's!! will definitely be back for more! @zomatoxtonispizza

toni's in gezina is the original toni's..... and it shows. the service was good.... with a personal touch...

the pizza was okay, but the crust was a tad too thin. and could have been in the pizza oven just a bit longer. would havemadeit a bit less soggy.

they now also have a number of craft beers on tap.

overall a good experience and certainly worth a visit. just be awareness that they close at 21:00 on certain evenings.

i recently attended a foodie meetup at toni's, and what en experience! we were welcomed with delicious margaritas, not too strong, not too tart, just the way i like it!
toni "managed" our table herself, entertaining, recommending, describing her delectable dishes as they arrived. she created a unique experience for us, but it seems she does that every night for her guests.

her regulars she greets with a hug, creating a family atmosphere in her restaurant. she even makes all the desserts for all her restaurants herself! her own special touch can be found everywhere, in all her dishes.

back to the food... we were treated to salads and focaccia as starters. the salads were amazing! so tasty, each ingredient complementing the others perfectly! not just a bunch of lettuce and a few toppings either! you can taste the quality of the ingredients used! my favourite focaccia was the caramelised onions and blue cheese! yum!

on to the pizzas, you can create a half and half so you get to taste more than one pizza. great idea to order a few half and half pizzas and share amongst the table, there is such a variety to choose from. something to suit everyone's taste buds and preferences! they have yum pastas on the menu too!

to end off, we had the most decadent desserts! chocolate pizzas, homemade nougat, brownies and ice cream, all very tasty, and then the chocolate mouse... this deserves a special mention, as dreams aremadeof this choc mousse! it was unlike any other mousse i have ever tasted! so thick and creamy, you just have to taste the mousse!
i am told that there are dessert milkshakes too, including adult ones which have a bit of a kick.

omg!! toni - you rock our world! from the salads to the focaccia to the pizzas to the desert platters! guys u have to try this place out! everything ismadewith so much love and initiative! the flavor combinations are out of this world! was such a great dinner experience and will definitely recommend this to place to everyone! the pesto pizza is too die for! and the chocolate mousse - eeeeek! 😍 go go go! what are you waiting for?!

last night i was fortunate enough to attend a foodie meet up at toni's, and i must say i'm so impressed with the place. i really cant fault it at all.
from the moment we walked in, we were treated royally and with genuine smiles. my first drink was a frozen margarita which was just the way i like it, not to weak but just the right kick. food was flowing the whole night and i really loved it all, the salads were so good that i'vemadethe decision to go back there just for a salad feast. during all this we were fortunate enough to meet toni, not at all who i expected but wow, what an amazing soul.

the pizza was so great, i had a few pieces but my full belly wouldn't allow me to try them all. dessert was so amazing, im not usually a dessert fan but the nougat was amazing!

all in all i loved it, im still smiling! what a great place!

what a treat to celebrate a friends birthday at this very pretty little restaurant. pizza's was amazing as always, keeping the franchise name high. we frequent the menlo park branch more and this was our first visit to this particular toni's. unfortunately the evening ended in a major disappointment. after having paid the bill we were confronted by another server regarding what we thought of the service. now this is a pizza joint and receiving more than the associated service is always a great privilege, so we were content with what we received! our waiter, a gentleman in his mid twenties dressed like a street beggar with no sense of personal space, did what he was paid for, took orders, brought food to the table and provided us with a bill at the end of the night. nothing more, nothing less, however, being in the service industry and knowing that everyone has to make a start and particularity what people are paid has never been the bases of gratuities, except in the most incompetent cases. thus we rounded the bill andmademy payment. the very untactful server, whom inquired about the service, asked that if service was okay why we only tipped 2%. shocked i realized that i had the total wrong and indeed only tipped 2%. we corrected this howevermadea point to inform the server that the monies can maybe invested in a hair cut and shaver, at which point she retorted, its not that it is fuel.

the mistake was mine, there is no dispute regarding this and we corrected it, however the point blank confrontation, assumption that 10% must be tipped, untactful handling of the matter and embarrassment, left a damper on the evening. the 10% service fee is for good service, not just service and i think the toni's waiters need to reevaluate this. the idea is not to do nothing and get something, was this their outlook on life a career in government should have been what they were aiming for.   

it is unfortunate as we have always enjoyed the toni's food, the menlo park restaurant has always warranted their 10%, if not more and the service has never left me wanting more! toni's rietfontein can take a feather out of their sister branch!

fantastic absolutely fantastic freshlymadeartisan styled pizza. a vast selection of toppings to select from with fantastic taste results. a must for those appreciating great food...

their freshmaderavioli is superb and goes well with almost all of the available pasta sauces. the chorizo sauce is however the best, in my opinion. their pizzas are also very good, given that it is their speciality, it does live up to that. there are so many different options which leaves you wanting to come back over and over to try out all the different gourmet toppings options. as a regular at toni's i can definitely say i can't complain and for the price you pay for what you get it really is worth it. i just wouldn't order ye focaccia, which is basically a naked pizza with little flavour. but all in all it is a great place to go, staff are always friendly, decor fits
the artsy vibes just perfectly.
