tiger trail - royal orchid metropole

very nice ambience , the food we ordered have become perennial to me , the serving staff is very good in tiger trail and if you want to go out on a romantic dinner this is one of the best places in mysore

absolutely terrible service! we sat there for 10 mins after which the menu was given to us and 25 mins later nobody had even bothered to take our order even after our continuous attempts to signal to the staff! very disappointed.

felt stupid and gullible for falling for the high rating on zomato and eating here. the food was way below par. the lunch buffet sucks and is a total piece of overpriced faeces. their audacity to charge that price for the kind of food they serve got on my nerves. this is no knee jerk review, i type this a week later, a conscious effort i made cos i do feel for business owners who probably meant else. mind you, not saying the food was unpalatable, just really mundane cheap run of the mill stuff you could have eaten anywhere, for which, the price they charge feels ridiculous. top that off with pushy service by interns who don't have the slightest clue on the grander picture the hotel's really selling. mediocre food with below par service can make for a really annoying waste of life. don't go here if you cannot afford that kind of time trashing. i certainly won't again. if yer already there and reading this a lil too late, don't even touch that preservative laden horse shit from the last century they call sea food.

was very disappointed with today's service. to begin with it took 20 minutes for someone to attend our table. and the main course took more than 45 mins and the food was also mediocre.. nobody bothered to serve the main course and we waited for 20 more minutes to order the rice/desserts but no one showed up.. eventually we had to go ask the manager to even get the bill.. i used to like coming to metropol but guess l am not coming back here again..

been here 3 times . it has a great ambiance and open sky dining set up,specially in night. i wonder how it is in sunny lunch as everytime i came here for dinner. although it's a bit pricey option still you can count on good food. i have tried veg biriyani, few chicken starters , indian bread items and chicken curry stuff. service is bit on the slower side.

i am glad for the posted reviews and recomendations from friends.rwight now we are in mysore for a mini vacation and loving it.yesterday we went here for lunch.
decore is very colonial style .beautiful.everywhere it was decorated with orchids.atmosphere was relaxing
coming to food.what can i say ,simply divine.we had the buffet.each and every dish was well cooked and tasted as it should.let it be glazed fish,chicken biriyani,rogan josh mutton,dryfruit pulao,mixed saag,vegetsbles au gratin or simply veg noodles.
the list of appetisers endless but all perfect.greeksalad ,chicken and egg salad,pinapple and cabbage cole slaw were very tasty.the hot and soup was perfect.
dessrts were out of this world
anjeer and kaaju rollwas to die for as the fig filling in the kaaju was cold.i do not know the names of all the exotic desserts but then there were too many.
i totally recomend it to those who like visiting mysore.
great value for money as the cost for buffet for 1 person is rs 750.
definitly i shall visit again.

excellent place, we celebrated my son's birthday here. the outdoor seating is very nice, weather played it to the advantage. the food was good, we ordered north indian. the only feedback that i had was very slow service, it took 30 mins for the starters to arrive and same was the case with main course.

overhyped. . we went there for dinner. we ordered medium spicy food and got spicy.. the mutton rogan josh and jeera rice were too salty.. they replaced mutton and rice( which came salty again :( ). fish tawa fry was okay and grilled fish, although cooked okay was bland. forgot to mention the bland sabj jaipuri as nd burned butter rotis.. got finger bowls on asking twice.. no value for money.. bad experience.

lovely ambience.... its a heritage building and the seating outside is very nice... the food was just yumm... must try their mutton dum biryani which they serve in a matka... everything was awesome except for the pathetic service because its very very very slow..! its good for a slow relaxed dinner... the place is clean and the food is worth the price...

our visit to mysore from bangalore felt complete after a scrumptious lunch buffet in this palatial restaurant in royal orchard hotel. perfect place to relax especially after a tiring day of sight-seeing and shopping. all the items in the buffet were delicious. the badam halwa in particular was intoxicating!
the staff was alert and friendly.
the best part of this restaurant : it's in the heart of the city, very close to the mysore palace, has plenty of parking space.
lastly, it's a little heavy on your pocket..but what's a few extra bucks when you're on a holiday right? ;) it's definitely worth it. will recommend to everyone.

this place sucks!! no music in bar and we had to request twice for music. insted they kept on playing zee tv to watch a reality show!!!!! when we called manager, he was least interested. we told him issue and he was least interested to hear our feedback.
no wonder why its bar stays empty on a saturday night! !!!

it is one of the oldest hotels in mysore city which has undergone change in ownership several times. popularly called hotel metropole, the food quality and service is excellent, so is the ambience which has an ancient feel. we tried stuffed naan and shimla mirch curry which was mouth watering, however the quantity is a bit disappointing.

warning: don't eat anything before you go there. can't eat anything after.
this is the sunday brunch that'll simply leave you happy.
the variety is brilliant. there's everything. they just thought of everything.
and the ambience is exquisite.

been here a few times ... the courtyard dining at night is amazing ... the food is just exquisite.... must visit ...buffet has just too many options u wont be able to restrict yourself forget the doet and dive in...

metropole is a brilliant place. the old architecture gives it a very historic feel to it.
i love this place for its sugarcane chicken. it is absolutely brilliant.
the food overall is also very good.
