i never write reviews.... ...but i am making an exception for tiedyegrill. this place serves as good a burger as you will find in indy, as good or better than bub's in my opinion. it's a little cramped. and doesn't look like much from the outside, but the burgers will have you coming back. i had the zz top burger, which has onion crisps, pepper jack, jalapeños, and chipotle ranch dressing. amazing. the burger is a 10 oz pattie, juicy with a charcoal flavor. honestly next time i go, i will probably split it with my wife, that's how big it is. i live 10 minutes away and can't believe i have never been here before, but will be back soon.

great food & atmosphere. i give tiedyegrill 5 out of 5 stars for excellent food and admirable service. having a relaxing atmosphere makes one take time to enjoy the hearty meal you will receive.

good but.... it was our first visit to the tiedyegrill. small, but cool place with nice staff. i ordered the chong's burger (served open face with chili on top). the burger itself was very good but the chili was lousy. i scraped it off. it obviously had been frozen and thawed as needed. my wife had the fish & chips. the breading was good but the fish were soggy as though they had been fried in oil that wasn't hot enough. the french fries and cole slaw were good. when we go back, we'll order just straight up cheeseburgers which looked great. there were also a lot of people getting salads which also looked good.

delicious sandwiches!!!!!!!!!. i had the reuben . fantastic!!! sandwich. go to tiedyegrill an order yourself a reuben. you'll be glad you did. my wife and son ordered the tenderloin. it was tenderloin tues. the tiedyegrill prepares a wonderful, fantastic, delicious, fresh, tenderloin sandwich. you will not be disappointed. i thought stories in greensburg in. was the only place that know how to fix a tenderloin sandwich. now i know two places. this little whole in the wall restaurant on the eastside of indy. 13th and shadeland. is a well kept secret. service was a- 1 as well. really, try this place, and you'll return just like i'm going to.

best tenderloin ever. tiedyeis another favorite, been there dozens of times. everything i've ever tried there has been excellent tasting and made with excellent quality ingredients. the burgers are thick and juicy, cooked to order. the onion rings are crispy and delicious. i most frequently go there on tuesdays because of tenderloin tuesday, the one day of the week they serve this, the best of all tenderloins. breaded or grilled, on a bun or a plate, this is the top tenderloin in town, maybe the whole state of indiana.go there today, especially if it's tuesday.

my first tiedyelunch. yesterday i had the best french dip i have ever eaten. usually-no always- the au jus is so salty i don't even bother dipping into it, but the tiedyegrill had the best ever! the bun was lightly sweet and perfectly toasted and the meat was tender and falvorful and there was was a lot of it. and the brownie was huge, topped with marshmallows and had a layer of something crunchy just under the top. i cannot put my finger on exactly what it was [rice crispies perhaps?] bit it was absolutely the greatesat chocolate experience i have ever enjoyed in indianapolis. i cannot wait to return.

place is always packed at lunch, but waiting is short for a table or take out orders.

food is awsome grilled burgers and has that one of a kind taste always brings you back for more. try a big brownie for dessert you'll need lots of milk.
come and experience it for yourself!

best reuben in the midwest. located at the front of a strip mall, you may overlook it if you were not careful. the décor is very hippie-ish with walls clad with 60's and 70's memorabilia, and the table cloths are all, you guess it, tie-dyed. the layout of the place is not like any other restaurant you may have visited, but makes for a friendly atmosphere.

i am a reuben fanatic so i usually order the rooperts classic reuben. the sizable reuben is sloppy with sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing squeezing out the sides, swiss cheese, and corned beef. the griddled, light rye bread-clad reuben is the best i have ever had, and i've eaten reubens in new york.

on my last visit there i finally pulled myself away from the reuben and tried the tiedyejack burger, it was an open faced burger served on an english muffin topped with lightly breaded onion crisps, bacon, and a creamy cheese sauce that reminded me of cheese whizz. once again, i have to say it was once of the best burger i have ever eaten. the burger itself had a slight charred taste, but not over whelming, and was perfectly grilled to medium.

the staff is always very friendly and the place stays busy, which says something to me. the tiedyegrill has become one of my favorite eateries and whenever i am on the east side, i make it a point to stop in.

tiedyereopens tuesday

after a flood closed the restaurant a week ago, the tiedyegrill, 1311 n. shadeland, will reopen tomorrow with its popular tenderloin tuesday specials. jan and shaynedyesay thanks to all of their customers and friends who stopped by the restaurant to help with the cleanup.

the eatery is running a contest for the prize of two tickets to "ticket to ride, a tribute to the beatles," which will be held saturday, jan. 30, at the madam walker theatre downtown.

on thursday, jan. 28, tiedyewill sponsor a fundraiser for marion county sheriff candidate dennis fishburn. there will be a $50 per person charge for the event, which will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. according to the dyes, there will be plenty of food for everyone, and go fish! bumper stickers will be available for a donation to help the campaign.

awesome food. great food, friendly folks.
love the food being made in front of you, no nasty secrets here, just unique and deelish foods.
oh yeah make sure to save room for desert...you wont get the creations they come up with anywhere else.
