yum!.goodvegetarian options (love the asparagus sandwich on wheat) and very cool soda and drink options. also love the dog-friendly patio and the fun decor. the calabacitas is great too.

tia betty's has to be one of the most frustrating dining experiences in burque. the food is delicious and consistency is not. 3 out of 5 drive thru/pick up orders have been made incorrectly or missing food. sunday morning running errands, beautiful morning, place a call in order at 9:15 since i hadn't been to my neighborhood splurge in a while since my order is always wrong....order isn't ready until 9:40....driving home thinking this is really going to be worth the wait. bacon forgotten!!! how can you forget the bacon?! i sure was charged for it. so annoying. called the manager and he offered to pay for my breakfast next time. honestly, i doubt i will be back at this point. whenever my coworkers want to go, i say no let's do copper canyon instead....bummer to an almost perfect morning. womp womp. 😒 the flip side is the people are generally very nice and the food is freakinggoodbut starting to question my patronage. my recommendation: shut the drive thru down if you just can't get it right. 👌🏽consistently and service can ruin some tasty grub!!

i can't began to explain howgoodthis place is. the friendly staff, thegoodprices, the large portions are great for sharing, and it's old house atmosphere makes you feel like your having a meal at home. the one downside, it's too popular! there's been a few times waiting over an hour but we'll worth the wait! the wait is not anyone's fault by the way, just gets busy.

i want to like this place, really. first, the food is good, but we came on a sunday morning for brunch and there was roughly a 45 minute wait to get our food. normally not a deal breaker, however, the patio is literally swarming with flies. once we got our food, they were out of silverware and coffee, also normally not a problem, but with no table service and a huge line, we weren't able to flag anyone down to remedy this.goodfood, but brought down by a bad overall service experience.

verygoodhomemade food. how do these guys do it? the food is verygoodand it's cranked out of this small, exposed efficient kitchen. the menu is classic yet adventurous and even healthy if you feel so inclined. great collection of classic new mexican ingredients and fun delicious combinations. one of my favorites is the carne adovada on the savory blue corn waffle with an egg on top.goodcoffee and a fun collection of bottled sodas too.

the carne hot dog and soda. i was so thrilled to get a faygo rock-n-rye soda...talk about a blast from my childhood. that was great; many othergoodchoices as well. i had the carne-adovado dog. i belive that this is the best choice on the menu. the dogs-more than one; were sliced in such a great way that i had hotdog and chile in every bite from beginning to end. okay, i feel like i am writing for a hot dog stand. my partner got the huevos. this huevos had an egg that was cooked to perfection. this dish was said to come with jicama slaw. perhaps agoodthing that it didn't.

yikes. i wanted to like this, but it was not agoodmeal. the new mexico po boy had very little meat. mostly jalapenos & chips. chips & bread were close to stale. the vegitarian sandwich had very little humus. mainly lettuce & tomatoes. will not be coming back. i wonder if the glowing reviews are all written by friends. the only bright spot were the calabacitas. disappointed.

found it by accident. we dont come to albuq too often. we were heading out and saw a man with a sign. its a little hole in the wall but a big surprize. the food was great and at a great price. the chili actually had a bit of heat to it. loved the big band music but not crazy about the mixed atmosphere is it a swinging place? or a dia de los muerdes/wrestlemania place? oh well its stillgoodand we will go back

eh.... had lunch today after reading gil's blog. usually he doesn't steer me wrong, but this time i have to say i've been steered into mediocre. i had the curry chicken sandwich. here's the positive: the fresh baked whole wheat bread was good, the jicama sticks were great and a pleasantly unsual offering for a side. here's the negative besides the chicken bone i bit into: the curry chicken was terribly bland, the curry flavor was overpowering and imbalanced, the "grapes" were few and far between and the whole concoction needed a bit more salt/garlic/something. my friend ordered the tamale boat and she reported the same thing: chile overpowereing and imbalanced and not enough salt/garlic/something. with each bite we were both hoping the flavor would develop, but ultimately left disappointed. with all thegoodreviews on the blue corn waffle i'm tempted to give this place one more chance, but the customer service was not attentive eough for me to care to give them anymore business.
