my very favorite brunch place! staff is super friendly and positive, coffee is really good, foodis awesome! smashed avo, green bowl, pulled pork eggs benedict, porridge, lamb - everything is delicious! the only thing that is not good is acoustics here - very loud inside, so if you have sensitive ears as mine, sit outside. oh, and they are also closed on sunday:(

the staff here are very friendly - we were greeted warmly upon arrival and taken to our table. thefoodhere is pretty average though. both time that i’ve been here for food, their poached egg is terrible - overcooked and is basically a hard boiled egg...their coffee isn’t that great either unfortunately.

wonderful cafe in st leonards/crows nest area. warm attentive staff, greatfoodand coffee. we love the breakfast burrito and the reuben. good kids menu as well. turmeric ginger latte is another highlight. can be busy on saturdays, but it’s worth the wait.

i really enjoyed thefoodat the wooden whisk, which has great value for thefoodyou order. we had the cheeseburger ($21) and the lamb salad ($23), and both were very filling and delicious. i love the salad, especially with the tiny bits of pomegranate scattered over the dish. i had to pick out the mint leaves though, but the rest of the salad was super tasty. the cheeseburger was good too, but perhaps a bit too much bacon was used and it overpowered the rest of the burger.

the drinks were both great, and i would definitely recommend coming here for a delicious meal with nice ambience and friendly staff!

saturday morning brunch! finally made it after three weekends trying to visit on a sunday. beware- they are not open on sunday!

friendly service and promptly seated.
we ordered drinks first andfoodsecond.
food came super fast!! way before our drinks.
so by the time i wanted to have my hot chocolate it was only luke warm.

the bacon wrap was stuffed with delicious ingredients.

the croque madame toaster was uber cheesy and very filling.

as per usual for sydney brunches/breakfasts/meals, portions were huge. i would recommend sharing two between three if you’re not that hungry.

the hot chocolate and the mocha were so so so good. love that chocolate hit.

can’t wait to be back again for another visit :)

the coffee was ok but the “chilli lemon kale with tahini hummus, poached eggs on quinoa toast” was so good!
the waitress was ok, i have to call them a few times before they come and serve me 😌
after all i gave 4 rating for thefood👍

the wooden whisk is a homely and cozy cafe in st leonards which offers a range of juices and smoothies and popular breakfasts and brunches. the service team were tidily dressed in dark blue aprons and the wooden tables and exposed brickworks held a relaxing atmosphere.

however, thefoodand coffee could be better. the flat white was served scalding hot with a larger proportion of espresso than milk. the eggs benedict with pulled pork was forgettable too. the pulled pork was dry and chewy and the hollandaise sauce was a little too acidic to coalesce the sourdough, eggs and pulled pork.

best cafe in st leonards hands down. an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch which comes out really quick whether dining in or take away which is great if you're on the go. great qualityfoodand presented really well. the coffee is the best in the area and there's a variety of options as well. the service here is amazing. you're greeted within a second of entering the cafe and from sitting down all the way through to paying, the service is so good and friendly.

the wooden whisk is one of the better places to eat in st leonard's that offers a good menu of classic favourites and cafe 'must have' dishes from chick burgs to smashed avo. i ordered the chicken burger, although it was very delicious - definitely wasn't the best chicken burger and could use a lighter and fluffier bun to balance out the generous chicken filling. overall, i was very satisfied and pleased with my meal and was full and craving for an afternoon nap to soothe myfoodcoma urges.

i must say, they aren't too fond of split bill here (it's as though you've inconvenienced them gravely). so if you come in a big group - bring cash to avoid being ridiculed a "cashless gen y".

oh my goodness, i think i've found my favourite brunch place ever! if only it wasn't so far away from me :(
this place was packed at midday on a saturday, but we were cheerily led to a table for two straight away. they have both indoor and outdoor seating so the wait wouldn't have been too long anyway.

we got the pulled pork eggs benedict and the beef / potato hash. both were sooo scrumptious! the flavours just blended together so well, my taste buds were having the time of their lives 😂
despite being so busy, the wait for thefoodwasn't long at all, and we were kept preoccupied by our mango passion frappe, which by the way was also so very tasty! best of all, the prices were reasonable with both of our dishes being $16-$18.

if thefoodand service wasn't enough to impress, the bathroom wall was nicely decorated and included a changing table for parents which i thought was so thoughtful - and rare - for a cafe.

finally made my way to this super cute spot! it's right off the main street in crows nest (and currently surrounded by construction sites) yet somehow feels separate and quiet. you'll find something for everyone on the menu; classic dishes with their own lovely twist and gorgeous presentation. the staff were amazing, being very patient with us as we waited for our very late breakfast buddy. reasonable prices and greatfoodin a great part of the north shore, what more could you want?!
