a very traditional place, good for a classic experience. ambience and aesthetics are impressive,staffis amazing and food is exactly how it should be. some may feel it is a little on the expensive side but you're paying for an experience rather than just a quick takeaway. definitely recommend you go here on occasions or on dates.

their eggs benedict is something to bet money on. the hollandaise sauce is pure perfection. 

there are not many restaurants who can rival their food, at least not at this price point.

a nice place to have breakfast. the food has a good variety however need to work more on the taste. other wise the ambiance and thestaffis courteous.

it's my one of my special mention in mayfair london i really loved there hot chocolate .it's so hot .place is crowded . ambiance excellent andstaffservice is very good.

i had one of the best experiences ever at the wolseley! we had both lunch and afternoon tea, and i must say that they were exquisite. the food was amazing, the tea and dessert were great, and thestaffis extremely professional and friendly.

i love the first impression from the interior with high ceiling, beautiful chandelier, and off course thestaffwelcoming us while we didn't reserve a table. i tried the welsh rarebit (ok), egg arlington (could be better and fresh), and eclair (perfect). for sure i will be back for an afternoon tea degustation

the wolseley is a beautiful dining space with high ceilings and decor that reminds me a lot of many new york dining halls. it's open late and all day and is hard to beat for a late dinner.

chopped liver (7/10) - the chopped liver here is generously portioned. the presentation of the dish is as bare bones as you'll ever see. some would find fault here, but the liver is tasty and i can understand the whole putting lipstick on a pig argument. it is after all, chopped liver. 

matjes herrings with pumpernicekl (6/10) - the herrings are of good quality as is the bread. again a very bare bones starter in all respects, but flavors that i think work quite well.

holstein schnitzel (7/10) - expertly fried schnitzel. the bread crumb and the veal are one throughout your journey of this generously portioned schnitzel. on the side, mustard and anchovies to add salt and spice. 

choucroute à l’alsacienne (7/10) absolutely massive portion of various meat products piled onto a pool of sauerkraut. i'd have to say the sausage was my favorite.

if you're after a simple meal, this place does simple well. thestaffis attentive and friendly, the food is consistently good and priced at a point where i wouldn't consider it good value, but at the same time not unreasonable by any means.

went there without a reservation on a sunday morning and loved that they have a no reservation area! such a charming restaurant with lots of lovely interiors. thestaffis so friendly and the food is amazing.
must try the doughnuts!!!

looking for a high end 'brasserie' in london? the wolseley is the place to be! in the heart of london, the place is fully booked every night (no need to stop by if haven't called earlier), visited by real old londonners, couples in love, and tourists from the ritz next door. as starters, the scampis are great, when the escargots are divine. the soles we had for main were amazing as well, with 4 portions of fish per person, who said quality or quantity? to make sure we were not able to walk anymore but roll our belly down the road, we ended with the creme brûlée, don't hesitate to share that one, as it is again not a small portion, but so good. and if the nice food wasn't enough, thestaffare also really nice, no matter how busy it is, always polite and often funny. even if you are not able to make it for diner, come by for a tea time, the venue alone worth it!

this place has been on my wish-list since a long time and i had been craving to have their eggs florentine, as suggested by some of my friends. the interior of the place is even better than the grand exteriors and has vaulted ceilings and arched entryways. thestaffwas very well organized and so was the menu.
the eggs florentine was surely the best i've ever had and were utterly delicious. thestaffalso presented me with a small gift because it was my birthday, and they surely made a lifetime customer by doing so.

the high class reputation of the restaurant made me wait for an exceptional occasion to make a visit, but the wait was not worth it.
i prefer scores of other restaurant where i'd happily spend my money and eat food that is good.the quality here is greatly compromised and the items look stale and prepared in a careless ,cold manner; as if for a cruise.
i had by mistake forgotten a shopping bag under the table and when i placed a call next day to inquire about it, thestaffwas uncaring and rude, hanging up the phone with a brief no. by visiting again, i would not repeat my error.

i have been to this place a couple of times and it never ceases to disappoint me. prior bookings are required at this place as its is usually bustling with people. the place offers delicious food and can be called a "foodie heaven". the food is priced moderately. thestaffis very friendly and hospitable.

this place is beautiful and has an impressive interior. the best bit was that the table was ready for us when we arrived, as we had made a booking before. the service here was impeccable and thestaffwere so helpful. they carefully explained the food, on the menu to us. all of the food that we called for was a delight. the second round of sandwiches appeared rather soon, without waiting much. we were extremely full after all that we ate.

i was disappointed with the service. thestaffwas a bit terse and indifferent. i would have preferred a smile. once we were seated, the waiter came to take order immediately and the service was also pretty efficient but the major drawback was that thestaffwas in quite a hurry and that made us uncomfortable.

i finally was able to try this place and after booking a table here once before. the experience was amazing and i loved it. the food was delicious and was cooked perfectly, especially the steak which was amazing. the ambience was also quite decent and thestaffwas also quite warm and welcoming. i would love to visit this place again.

we had the experience of trying this place lately and was a fine experience. the place is quite packed but decor was quite classic and lovely. the food was delicious and i enjoyed it thoroughly.the service was just okay and nothing extra-ordinary and would have preferred thestaffto be a little more efficient. overall it is a decent place but do feel that the food is a bit over-priced.
