pricey dinner, but lunch a bargain. the lunch special is a fantastic bargain for the best mexican food in the ogden area. you get two entrees for 7 bucks are three entries for 9.
the chile verde is implemented very well. very flavorful. i also recommend asking for habanero salsa. it makes a great addition and flavoring to your meal.

unexpected flavors!. a friend came up to visit me from salt lake who had never been to ogden, and we decided to check this place out since reading the salt lake magazine review. the restaurant was huge, and the menu offerings were impressive. we each had great drinks (a margarita and the aguas frescas with vodka) which were a perfect match for their large patio. we started with a trio of the ceviche - rock shrimp, mahi mahi, and ahi tuna. the mahi was decidedly our favorite. it was a tuesday, so since tacos were only $1.50 each, we got six of them and shared. it was plenty of food, and i'll definitely be back!

food was ok but don’t use them for catering and please don’t ask for paper plates and utensils. they charge $1 per paper plate. plus as you can see the receipts don’t match. i received the higher priced one later. seems fishy to me, but oh well they act like they have a license to print money even though i ordered $400 in 2 days from them.

i❤️ great food, awesome service, lovely setting. it's definitely not a typical mexican restaurant. i love to go here for dates and then walk across the street and see a movie at the megaplex. they even have great vegan and vegetarian options. 😍

i may have just been unlucky and walked into this place on a very off day. the service was friendly and attentive. some of the food was exactly what i hoped for other parts were inedible. i ordered a combo plate and the pork was amazing. the chili relleno however had me throwing up later that night. i only ate a few bites of it before giving up and it was the only meal i had eaten away from home the entire day. if the service had not been so friendly i would likely have given a lower score.

we were in ogden for a convention and because we had an hour and a half for lunch, we went to sonora. we called and made reservations because we had a large group. (14) when we got there, we were seated pretty quick. there were not many people eating when we got there. everyone in our group ordered salads except one who ordered tacos. it took an hour and ten minutes to get our food. we really ate fast we could make it backto our conference. (we were late! ) the meals were okay but not great. one salad only had 5 pieces of chicken. we complained to the manager and asked for a discount. there was a buy one get one free discount available. he told us he would, "make it right" with us. on average, we were discounted $2.50. big deal. we won't eat there next year!

fabulous! it's a little on the pricey side for mexican but it is very good. i've been here many times and have never been disappointed. high quality, great service. no hesitation recommending.

my favorite mexican food restaurant. i first went to sonora last valentine's day, and i fell in love with the place immediately. very cool decor and professional/efficient staff. they have a terrific menu with lots of items you don't see too often at other mexican food places. they have a nice alcohol menu that is not too expensive, and i love their chips and salsa appetizer. i was proud to take my family here when they visited me, and they ordered a wide variety of entrees which they still have not stopped talking about. their service is always terrific as is the food. order one of their specials and you will not be disappointed!

guacamole please. order the table side guacamole and then the shrimp chile relleno. the relleno is a raging party of awesomeness. i love it and i crave for it nightly. it is the best relleno in utah hands down. great place for a date night with the wife.

well done take on modern sonoran cuisine. the chile verde is excellent, reminiscent of santa fe during the harvest. portions are fair and presentation is good without being ostentatious.

ambience is nice and clean, if a bit loud.

two chiles up!
