my wife & i took her son & girlfriend there for sunday brunch. my wife had the breakfast sandwich w/ fried green tomato. which she loved. originally she was disappointed because she wanted their waffle& chicken, but it's not on the brunch menu???? her son had the biscuit& gravy. wow! very tasty & more than a college guy could eat. his girlfriend got the corn pancakes. she said they were like what her grandma made. i had the shrimp& grits. the grits themselves were ordinary but the combo of a wonder sauce, shrimp& bacon really came thru wonderfully. their bloody mary is great & i loved the jalapeño/ onion combo garnish. it's a nice, laidbackatmosphere. i love their music selection as well. it ties the food& environment together in a happy, cool, southern charm, laidbackkinda vibe.

the food was fantastic and the beer selection was great! sat on thebackpatio and the atmosphere there was comfortable. had the double cheeseburger with the sweet potato fries. their house made sauces went well with their food.

pure southern-urban feel. super fun "louisville" spot. live to take friends here who are visiting. food is heavy and greasy but good and drinks are very goid. my fave is the moscule mule which has its traditional brass cups and shaved cuped ice. it's super fun in summer because of the location and the way their setup is- outbackon patio or by front where the doors come up to expose the sun. super cute spot!

silverdollar. just an opinion, i ordered the brisket sandwich for lunch greasy, tasteless. sentbackordered a cheeseburger it was just ok. all & all overpriced mediocre bar food.

just ate there. the food was greasy n the homemade ketchup is terrible, no quality in my opinion mediocre bar food.

fun and relaxing restaurant. it was hard to find much about the silver dollar that i didn't like. the service was helpful, friendly and attentive. their drink menu has scores of bourbon options as well as beer, wine and mixed drinks. the place is known for the bourbon selections, however.

the menu is fairly simple with a southern flair. there is something for pretty much everybody, however.

our group had onion rings and fried pickles for the appetizers. i'm not a fan of fried pickles, but they were good. the onion rings were lightly battered and had a great flavor.

the entrees came in large portions. two in our group had the chicken pot pie and one could probably have fed the entire table. they both enjoyed their meal and had plenty to take home with them. i had the brisket and it was excellent: very tender and tasted great.

if i had to say one negative it would be that we were seated near the door and every time someone came in or went out, we got hit with a blast of cold air...but that's just being picky.

it's a great place to go to enjoy a drink and a meal in a laidbackatmosphere. i'll definitely go back.

fried pickles! yum. first; they serve shiner bock, my favorite beer that i can't find in a lot of places locally (a favorite frombackhome in texas)
second; fried pickles, get them. yum!
third; burger was amazing, their chipotle ketchup, yum.
fourth; great atmosphere and wait staff was super nice!

will be back, completely recommend!

meal was pricy but the beer and food were both delicious. had the fried oysters and the sweet potatoe fries. another in our group had the chicken livers and they were amazing. going to comebackhere.

trendy but tasty. decided to try this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. the service staff was friendly as well as helpful. i ordered the fried oyster sandwich with sweet potato fries at my bartender's suggestion and loved it. filling, fried crispy and not too oily. i definitely suggest trying it with a side of their habenero sauce, i'll be goingbackmyself to try the rest of their menu.

over priced/lack of quality. went there for a date with my wife having heard about the cool environment at silver dollar. we did infact enjoy the atmosphere and decor, but the price of the food for the quality was not anywhere need good. both of our meals were underwhelmingly bad. if the quality of the meals were on par with the prices we might gobackbut until then there much better options in louisville.

love the food, non-service distracting. i've eaten here quite a lot, and haven't had a bad item off of the menu. in fact, the items were great!
but, the service is so glaringly absent, that it actually detracts from the whole experience.
the "hipster's" that call themselves servers/bartenders need to pay attention to their customers instead
of horsing around by the cash registers all of the time with each other.
i could have drank 3 drinks in the time that they took to getbackto the table to check on us. and, this happens every single time i'm there, which makes it seem that this is systemic to the restaurant as a whole.
until management gets that in check, i can't see this place open in 3 yrs.
but, hopefully they will, because the food is really done well.

not goingbackanytime soon. good food but poor service. why is it run by a young hipster crew? it's a whiskey bar not a indie record store.

great food,but service is under par. since opening my husband and i have eaten here several times and what keeps us comingbackis the flavorful food. however every time we get a server that doesn't understand the basics of waiting on a table. one time my chips were burnt. i told the server and she said they are supposed to be that color. i knew this because i had them before, however the previous time they didn't taste burnt. she didn't offer to replace them, she just walked off. the most recent time our server never asked if we wanted another cocktail because she wasn't at our table for at least 15 minutes to even notice they were empty. when she finally came to our table again she brought our check and never asked if er needed anything else.that was at least another $20 the restaurant could have made if the server followed serving 101. again we love the food so we will be back, but the servers need better training or the buzz about this place won't last long.
