the senate sports tavern and eatery

we only stayed for a few drinks but their drink menu was excellent. they had agreatselection of wines and well priced drinks. we did enjoy the patio and ordered some nachos which were well cooked but then again it’s hard to mess up nachos so i’m not sure how the rest of the menu is. the service was very friendly and fast. overall good experience.

i have eaten at this place twice and very pleased with the food i ate. i first ordered the buffalo chicken wraps, which i very very spicy, a little too much for me to handle. the second time i got the bbq burger which was agreatchoice too

perfect lunch. my husband, i, and our friends stopped in for a quick lunch on our way home from mont-tremblant. after having left the first pub we stopped in at after being greeted by a waitress who told us how hungover she was, it was a relief to be greeted by a friendly and enthusiastic bartended who welcomed us warmly. each of us had a different type of burger, and all were delicious! portions were generous, fresh fries, and amazing service! we could not have asked for anything better. thanks for thegreatexperience, we will make the trip back just to come to the senate sports tavern again!

great food,greatservice and definitely try turducken sandwich

extremely impressed. i flew into ottawa from halifax on monday around supper with 2 other co-workers, and we decided to check out the market for a good place to eat. we were quite happy to stumble upon this very, very clean andgreatlooking sports bar.

we found right away that the service was amazing with smiles from every waitress and we were quickly greeted and served very tasty beers (beau's on tap...say no more!). we ordered our food, which came to us quickly. meanwhile, we were able to take in 3-4 different hockey games on the very well positioned flat screen tvs. i ordered tequile pulled pork, and it was amazing.

eventhough we were only going to be in the city for two nights for work, the second night we didn't even have to think about it and went right back to the senate! again, we had a repeat of the night before with everything being terrific. i switched it up and went for the reuben sierra and was not disappointed. awesome experience, and will be back for sure again, and again....and again!

great sports bar!. the food was really good (buffalo wrap and tequila pulled pork) and the staff was very friendly and attentive. even if we hadn't just won tickets there to the sens game on thursday (which was awesome!) we would still return! agreatnight watching hockey at the tavern :)

byward market gem. solid pub to go watch sens games. delicious food,greatselection of beer and a bunch of 50" flat-screens all over the walls.

the place to be for sens games!. everything a sports bar should be. affordable food,greatatmosphere and fan- and customer-focused service. try the turducken sandwich -- it's delicious.

warm, friendly and fun.. i’ve been twice with a group of friends and had agreattime the service was fast and the food is very good and the beer is cold. it’s agreatplace to go to watch a game. their prices are very reasonable for a downtown pub. i’ll definitely be going back soon and telling my friends to check it out.

friendly,greatfood, good beers!. i've been to the senate a few times now and the food has been the most outstanding thing i've noticed. it's something different then the usual pub fare and i'm having a hard time finding anything i wouldn't order at least twice. the staff are friendly and helpful. the management is often available for questions and they appear to be very committed and involved in the business. love the selection of beers and i can't wait to share a few with other nhl fans this weekend! see you all there!

check this place out. i must say, what agreatoverall experience. the food, staff, atmosphere, everything was terrific. only thing missing was hockey, but i don't think this place needs it. i ate the rueben, it melts in your mouth. our server, katie told me, "it isn't even our most popular sandwich!", i beg to differ. my wife had the quinoa salad, which she said, "was delicious and was a nice change of pace for a sports bar." i have a new sports hangout, and my wife doesn't mind joining me, best of both worlds. a place worth checking out.

highly recommended. had agreattime!!! staff was fantastic, friendly and attentive. owners were in the building and enjoyed meeting the customers. food was delicious and served quickly. prices were very, very reasonable. portions were big, atmosphere was relaxed. decor was warm and inviting. go - you'll be happy you did.
